Baba_Jagga posted a message on Is it Worth It to Disenchant Wild Cards for Standard?Posted in: General Discussioni did it after old gods and i regret it so much...
dont disenchant them, over time you will be bored with standard and wild will be great fun mode to play.

arendB posted a message on Is it Worth It to Disenchant Wild Cards for Standard?Posted in: General Discussionstandaard can be pretty expensive with all the set rotations, in wild most decks don't change that much over time. So if you're free-2-play player, I would recommend wild over standaard, and I would keep those wild cards (unless there terrible)

LivingOrganism posted a message on How does Hearthstone stack up to other card games?Posted in: General DiscussionThe obvious answer is no. The reason? In my opinion - the direction Blizzard took. At this point Hearthstone is clearly aimed at younger audience, meaning kids specifically. The art is becoming more and more cartoonish, the jokes and card texts are kind of awkward, but this is not my biggest problem. The real issue is the fact that Hearthstone is incredibly simple. Really at this point it's probably simplier than Minecraft and this makes deckbuilding experiance awful. My favorite CCG is Gwent and even though it's considered less popular than others, statistics show that it actually has more active players than Hearthstone. However, I'd still play it even if I it was unpopular. Then reasons are:
1. Flavor - Hearthstone became a weird childish parody of Warcraft, while Gwent is just as flavorful as the Witcher (books, games etc.). The cards' are designed extremely well and it all matches the universe it's based on.
2. Diversity - In Hearthstone trying to experiment means getting depression through constant losses. In Gwent you can genuinely experiment and reach Pro rank with a homebrew deck.
3. Skill - In Hearthstone there isn't really much skill required, as the cards are very simple and even the "craziest" shaenennigans can be learned in a few games. Gwent is very complicated, even to the point that you can still not understand how a card works after playing a lot of games with it in your deck. It may seem discouraging at first, but believe me, the satisfaction is amazing.
I could write a lot more of these, but overall Gwent is not "new player friendly", but even though there are much more cards than in HS the progression system is definitely much better and more satisfying.

Nedess posted a message on How is this balanced???Posted in: General DiscussionSo what, he got a nut draw T1, something that almost never happens and it's not even that strong to begin with. Cast lightning storm on his board and he basically lost because he has no cards left to your full hand... It's not even a T1 deck lol, people really do complain about everything.

If you pull out a psychic scream and a potion of madness, you can actually play kazakus and maybe shadowreaper anduin for the 'big' decks out there. The kazakus potion could also give you a polymorph effect, which is very strong against cubelock. But other than this, nice deck!
edit: Forgot about the spiritlash, maybe add Raza instead of that :P

You said exactly what I think about hearthstone too.
As a Hearthstone lover since 2014 i'm beginning to think this game is getting a boring. The things you listed that weren't fun to play against are the exact same things i would've said.
Thank you!

You Marin the Fox, can't you just read for one second?

What if I only replace Starseeker with rotface? would that be stronger and just as fun? (I will change the name of my deck then though)
I betrayed Elise myself then xD
Edit: I played with rotface, but i don't think elise is the one to switch with. I feel like thaurissan is not that strong. Maybe i will take him out after playing some games without him. I like elise way too much and i don't want to change my deck name

Yes that is worth it, because you control the whole game. Fire Plume's Heart is kind of your game winner and you get there by using tools like Reno Jackson and Dr. Boom. You can get taunts out of Elise the Trailblazer too, it's not very likely, but there are cards like Primordial drake, all the tar minions and Stubborn Gastropod. There's also Dead Man's Hand that could give you more taunts. It's really about getting it in the late game. And I wanted to make a Control Reno Warrior not a Taunt Warrior.
