I have pretty much come to the point where I only log in to do Daily Quests that are above 40 gold in value. The release of this new set was a disappointment for me, like it or not, that's how I feel about it. 

The following story of my own experience illustrates the things I find most annoying about this game.

Today I receive a quest "50 gold, play 20 beasts". Okay, I'm not a big hunter guy so I'll just throw together a crap deck made of the first beasts I come across, not bothering with synergy or anything just Ally Cat, Core Rager, whatever, pure Hunter Beasts. I put in 2 Explosive Traps and 2 Deadly Shots to round it off.

Played enough games to complete the quest and during that period:

1st Match Vs Jade Druid: I throw down all beasts and go face without a care. He finally manages to get board control and squeak by with a few health points remaining (his narrow win against random beasts with zero strategy was apparently emote spam worthy in his eyes, congrats)

2nd Match Vs Secret Paladin: The only reason I know it was secret paladin was he plopped out Mysterious Challenger on turn six before my random pile of beasts mowed him down.

3rd Match: VS C'thun Druid: The random pile of beasts proves triumphant once again.

In short, what I dislike about this game:

A random pile of creatures without any strategy behind them combined with hero power and a couple of spells can hold its own against current meta decks and even win against older type decks, and even when a guy managed to take a current meta deck and still barely beat a random stack of cards, he's going to be a jerk about it.

Queue into a Tavern Brawl, my opponent has to do nothing more than play minions to win, no attacking necessary. First one does a Hammer of Wrath to my face, there's another that Frostbolts me, my own played minion results in my face getting Pyroblasted.  Yeah, I stand by my previous post. 

At this point the only fun part about this game is opening packs, and even that is a pretty crappy experience what feels like 90% of the time. 

Usually the Tavern Brawl goes live around 6.5 hours from now so I imagine it'll become available for NA at that time. Seems like how it went for WotOG. 

I'm in NA and it's not even available yet.

Without Warcraft lore and with seasonal card rotation, this game has nothing on its competition.

Why not just make some friends and message to one "Hey pal, wanna play a few games of Hearthstone with our super fun non-top tier, non-netdeck decks? ...Also you can't use whatever cards are currently annoying me"

That should pretty well solve your problems with stale matches.

This shouldn't come as a surprise, but Evolve Shaman is trash. You're sitting here, just trying to pull off an Evolve play that's even partially worthwhile and when you finally hit it and you're looking at your board of garbage, you think:  "You know, if this card was Bloodlust instead of Evolve, I'd have just won."

I don't think OP is suggesting anyone ripped them off, just that there are some similarities in their custom content to actual released cards.  Why is everyone so upset about them pointing this out?  It's not like OP is on here ranting and demanding Blizzard pay them for their contributions. I find it unlikely that the devs at Blizzard spent a whole lot of time looking over fan-made creations and it's likely none of them have ever seen these custom cards, but it's also possible they did. Either way, there's no reason to come on here and flame the person. I thought the idea of making custom content was to make it so balanced that it could actually see play, in which case it looks like OP did a decent job.

I logged in one of my old alt accounts tonight for the first time in months and I received the quest "Return of the Hero" which is apparently an innkeeper challenge where you face off against Alleria, Morgl, and Magni for 3 Classic Packs to get you back into the game.  

Anyone else ever see this?
