Can anyone explain why Drogon did not kill Jon in the finale? Is it because he is a Targaryen? Could it be because Drogon saw how crazy Dany was getting and agreed she would not be the right ruler?

Well, Dany had a sword in her and there was a suspicious looking construct of swords nearby.  Obviously, Jon was completely innocent and it was the throne that did her in.  That's why Drogon took the time to murder it good /s

Jon, Jon, Jon... Don't know, he might reluctantly accept the crown and un-happily reign over Westeros, or not. Personally, I would prefer the latter, some way or another.

The awkward thing about Jon is that he would make a horrible ruler.  I don't understand why everyone is trying to prop him up as their king.  He's basically Ned Stark 2.0.  He's too honest for politics and his dying as commander of the night's watch in both the books and the show (for different reasons, even!) proves it.  Maybe with the Red Keep cleaned out with dragonfire he can hang in there a bit longer than Ned but his downfall would still be inevitable

I can't believe Varys of all people died for him.  Varys, who could have busted Ned out as easily as he did with Tyrion but didn't because he was more useful where he was.  Varys, who backed Dany's brother for "the good of the realm", which in the books was complete BS and his way of dodging the question of who he's working for (himself)

Imagine D&D actually makes Jon king next episode.  It'd be a bad ending but they were too dumb to notice lol

I feel bad for the people who have been raised on such psychologically exploitative games that they can't play a game simply for fun anymore. They never learned how. It's not their fault.

Has it occurred to you that maybe some people don't find the same things you do fun?  "Why don't you play fun decks?, "Why don't you play fun game modes?"  We do, it's just that we have different ideas of fun.  If a person finds this solo content not fun, then it is just not worth buying; end of discussion.  Maybe you never learned to consider other people's perspectives but that's not your fault

Welcome back my dear friend! Long time no see!

Thank you. I've been busy and without a computer. I have a tablet now, but I don't care to use this site on the tablet. Making a move to Maryland soon. Been working on a few things, including a Facebook page and a Youtube channel. Don't want to advertise that here too much, but here we are. Been working 16+ hours a day, 11 at my actual job and 5+ on my page, channel, and a number of other projects. I've been quite busy.

Working a lot, I haven't had much time to be here, let alone play Hearthstone. Pro-tip: Don't ever get a device with less than 32 GB internal memory. I had to uninstall Hearthstone from my tablet because I only have about 4-6 GB of internal memory to do anything with the fucking thing. Not happy. I'd just play Hearthstone on this laptop, but it's not mine, and Hearthstone keeps crashing whenever I play it on this shit laptop. So... I can't play Hearthstone at all, at least for a month.

If you have access to a laptop that isn't yours but also isn't shit, you can try what I did in collage, which is install HS and the launcher on a thumb drive

Hope things are going well.  I suspected something along the lines of you getting picked up by blizzard to toil away for ridiculous hours when you seemingly fell off the face of the earth

I'm happy for the people who actually enjoyed the heist but I'm not one of them.  For me it was the Karazhan of these new generation solo adventures.  It was far too easy and challenge mode didn't seem any different from a standard run.  You could get away with doing whatever you want and still win, making your decisions and strategy completely irrelevant.  The AI throwing constantly didn't help and lot of the bosses simply died before they could show me their gimmick

It's a real shame.  They have some cool new mechanics going on and I really liked the bartender "levels"

If you want to win, I suggest you look into crafting one of the meta rogue or hunter decks.  They are currently some of the more powerful, yet cheap options available

If you want to do more than just play one or two very cheap decks, you'll need to pay up for some packs.  The alternative is to get good at arena and grind out gold there, but that's massively time consuming and only worth it if you actually enjoy arena

With this all said, you are giving me the impression that you don't actually like this game that much, which is cause for concern.  If you need to "want" to love it, I suggest you think again.  HS is far too expensive a game to be on the fence with.  Have you really only been playing 2 games the last few years?  You should do some exploring before committing to the first thing you see.  There's tons of games under the sun

Then maybe don't start with a clickbait title?

I didn't intend to bait anyone and the title accurately reflects the content of the thread quite literally.  I also wasn't aware that the PvE content in a children's card game is a charged topic that apparently requires title finesse.  People are reacting like I'm trying to sell the Alabama abortion bill

And whether it's clickbait or not, it really shouldn't excuse people from actually reading the post before posting.  That's just basic forums etiquette and basic logic.  I thought it was a reasonable expectation, because if people don't read, then the point of forums is moot

In any case, I suppose it's a neat social experiment ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

WTF hearthpwn.  READ MY OP.  I literally say that most of the value in the adventure lies in the content, not packs and that it's completely fine if you decide that it's worth it.  Then I literally say that not complaining, rather I'm grateful for the free packs and that this post is for your benefit so that all of you are making informed purchases if you choose to do so

Why am I getting attacked for this??  Do I need to restructure my post so that it's easier to read?  Did Ben Brode get the firey war axe nerf right?

I guess it is the title of the thread that makes people think you are against the PvE content. I also only read half of your OP and thought you are telling people not to buy the adventure. The clarification in the last paragraph is easy to miss...

I'm not against the PvE content; I only want to ensure people read and evaluate before making decisions, which ironically is exactly what people are not doing in this very thread

Now I have newfound reverence for Ben Brode who in his infinite wisdom foresaw the fact that hearthstone players cannot read the bottom half of a card, much less a post.  What a god

i feel like some/most of you are just trolling now or hopping on the "I hate GoT" train.

No, the show has genuinely turned into something that the majority of us dislike.  You're just lucky in that it turned from something you enjoy into something entirely different but still likable for you personally.  Like it or not, you can't deny that it's a completely different show from what we started with

It's like watching a comedy that abruptly turned into a horror for no good reason.  You're that one guy in the theater that watches horror movies regularly so you don't have a problem with that

People can rationalize characters and pick at the logic all they want but at the end of the day it's all irrelevant to the people who can appreciate the story without those things.  Nothing wrong with that.  I've been there myself
