I don't know much about mage or secret mage but I suggest checking out this thread. It has a lot of info regarding the style of deck you posted.

Sunwalker is such a beast and so hard for almost every class to deal with efficiently. I've always liked at least one in my control paladin decks.

Still good, just not as dominate. Now that it's become less popular people are running less specific counters which works out well.

Second question, when should Northshire be played? As a one drop? Or more like a buzzard/UTH play where I try to get larger card draws? I realize it is hard to make generalizations on this topic, but the help is greatly appreciated!

     Ty guys.

I am pretty new to priest but here are my general thoughts.

I will almost always play it turn 1 if going first vs hunter (cause them to hesitate playing creeper or spider) and paladin (forces them to reconsider hero power)

Usually play it vs druid, shaman, priest (if first, if they play theirs first, I won't play) since they don't play a lot of early minions that can easily kill.

Generally avoid it vs rogue (deadly poison) + aggressive version runs lots of 2/1s + weapon to kill and zoo (lots of ways to pump minions to take it out early) and mage who can also kill with a 2 attack 1 drop + ping on t2.

I will never play it vs warrior (fiery war axe).

I will almost always play on turn 2 in combination with power word: shield if I have that combo.

posted a message on What does well against control warrior / priest

I don't know about priest but I've played a ton of control warrior this season. Shaman is probably the worst MU for me, Ramp druid can give me a lot of trouble if they have a good curve + wild growth, not thrilled about seeing midrange hunter, handlock or even more "controlly" decks (Really slow control warrior/ysera etc, control Paladin and Priest). That said, part of the reason I like playing control warrior is it's pretty solid against almost everything and I never enter a game and feel like I have no chance.

I love facing zoo, I'd have to check my stats but I feel like I win 70+% vs them.

posted a message on Is paid coaching worth it?

Twitch can help you understand a lot of things but it cannot replace direct feedback on your play.  Understanding options and why one is the "best".  You could watch 24 hours of twitch and never see some difficult situation come up. As someone who received coaching in poker a long time ago, I can tell you it definitely opened my eyes to some things I had never considered, despite watching lots of pre-recorded poker play videos (the equivalent of streaming at the time). I was actually surprised how cheap coaching is, considering how much effort goes into it. Not sure what the quality is but given how well some people communicate on their streams I imagine their coaching is pretty solid. $50 is really cheap for any working professional that has plenty of money but not a lot of time and a desire to get really good. People spend money to get all kinds of lessons (at much higher hourly rate), I don't see why hearthstone should be any different.

posted a message on Golden Warlock and Hunter Portraits vs Priest or Pally

The majority of shaman and warlock golden portraits are bot accounts (especially shaman) so they do not impress me unless I can tell it's actually a player playing it. Priest or paladin golden...wow, the grind.

I've had pretty good success with this deck in rank 5-3 range.

Harrison is there to combat hunter bow and mirror matchup. I've been very happy with Stalagg and Feugen as well.

posted a message on I've built a competitive rage deck. 80% win rate

Tried this deck out last night. I think I was just getting horrible draws (No Berserker at all in 8 games) but I didn't have any success with it. Found I was holding a lot of spells but was never able to establish board presence. Might give it another shot later, had to switch decks to grind my ranks back :)

posted a message on Best deck to climb ladder?

Druid seems pretty bad right now, I've been using a combination of control warrior and aggro paladin which has worked pretty well. Played a chunk of the hunter just to get a feel for it so I could better counter it. As much as I hate to say it hunter is probably "best" deck for laddering right now but hopefully I'll eventually make it with war/paladin tag team.  (Currently 3).

Cool, that makes sense. I have thought of creating a deck with this theme and was curious how some of the cards that fit the theme actually perform. I play a lot of control warrior which has been doing well recently but I may give a deck like this a try and see how it goes. It'd be nice to have a deck that has faster games to speed up the climb (assuming I can keep my winrate up). I'm currently at rank 3, will test the waters but I'll probably sub TBK and try to find room for a Harrison Jones. The real question is how it will perform against hunters since that's really the only MU that matters right now :)

Cool deck concept, curious what ranks you played this at? Did you try Loatheb over TBK? I can only think of one good target in current meta which would be a houndmaster + beast in hunter matchup.

What are your thoughts on Rampage did you test that?

Do you like 0 Whirlwinds? I feel like they are really good a lot of the time.

if I could have 31 or 32 cards I like them, but there is a lot of AOE with Ghouls, Baron (sometimes), and Death's Bite. Had to cut something to make room. I don't REALLY miss them and Death's Bite is awesome.
