Why are we even still arguing over this. Blizzard themselves confirmed that from their statistics that people going first win more often. So you can say whatever you want but when the official source with access to ALL the data says otherwise then you are just whining over a false belief. Personally, I'd rather go first seven times out of ten. With the 8-10 being rare cases and even then it isn't that much better. The fact that people win enough games as it is with the disadvantage of going second is testament to the coin and mulligans design. So quit your whining and get gud.
The only problem with this statement is that it's not considering new players. When looking at the 1st vs 2nd win loss ratios, you have to eliminate new players because they will 1) not know when to best utilize the coin to fill out their curve 2) have no idea how to mulligan.
The mulligan especially is not represented by new players, but you get considerable better mulligan powers as 2nd player.
Note I'm not saying '2nd' is better, but there's lies, damn lies, and statistics. The statistics do not tell the whole story.
concede or kill myself. though I usually play to the bitter end even if there is only a 10% chance of winning. I've been surprised on when I can turn it around with certain decks. I just love it when some starcraft idiot spams well played and I beat him.
At least the games are short, past brawls were much more frustrating (like the one with the buffs for deathrattle, spells, battlecry or a 1/1 every turn). You can win in this brawl by getting a nut draw and you can also get alextrazad on turn one. To be honest this is one of the most fun brawls (even though the pirate brawl is my favourite so far).
Although I've one approx half the games where I got alexstrsaed the first turn.
Either use it to fill out your curve - ie for instance if you have no turn 3 play, but have 2 turn 4 plays, play one turn 3. save for an early board clear/heal/big minion or bringing out a threat early agaisnt some control decks to apply pressure - In that order.
I see it has the positive combos as well. double antique, etc. IT's not actually that different than my deck, I would need to add in the arcane golem, faceless and poweroverwhelming.
About Lifecoach's stats - he is just one person so it is all subjective. I keep solid stats as well and mine are different to his, which is not less than 25%. Do you suggest his stats are more relevant because he is a better player?
Well, I would defintely say that different parts of the ladder have different types of decks. Mysterious challenger is kind of like a step up from the old face hunter. Relatively cheap to create a deck that is fairly powerful, so I lot of people are using it, especially in the 20-10 ranks, simply because it helps lower the barrier to entry for competitive play. On the other hand it also makes those ranks annoying because there is an overrepresentation of secret Paladin. Essentially in order to fix this there need to be several relatively cheap relatively effective decks.
From my perspective I rarely see well played as a BM. sometimes Thank You if I've made a mistake or if the opponent thinks i've made a mistake because they don't understand my deck. but the snide thank you is rare.
Edit: Also I agree with OP. I just laugh at it. It's especially funny to me when an opponent says well played because they think they're winning against my spell deck lets say, and I'm able to come back.
I always WP at the end due to politeness, win or lose, and I would think that the vast majority of nonstarcraft players think the same thing. The fact that many players think WP is polite is probably never going to go away, switch dialects... you're not playing starcraft. If someone WP me and they haven't won, and I end up winning, I just think it's funny, they thought they were in a better place than they really were.

That's an interesting idea, I think it's been mentioned before. There are some pretty broken combos with the free for all idea though.

I don't think that's true for warrior anymore, though the Paladin matchup is hard for them.
