posted a message on Best counter to Jade decks?

Thanks guys, but i got sick of Standard for now - Jades, Jades everywhere :P

I switched to Wild, created my own Demon Warlock deck just for fun and I'm having fun again playing hearthstone :) Maybe after new expansion i will go back to Standard, we will see ;)

Thanks anyway, you can close the topic.

posted a message on Best counter to Jade decks?

    Hello,

After new season hit, i started have problems with Jade decks - especially Jade Druid and Jade Shaman which are about 75% of my opponents. I usually play Reno Mage (with Antonidas, more spell oriented than minion), Reno Warlock (without combo) and Dragon Priest (but personally i don't like this deck - I used it only to counter Pirate Warrior last season).
I am average player, i hit Legend twice (i don't have time to do that every season due to work, my goal is rank 5 at the end of the month), started playing in Season 2 - but i never felt that hopeless like now i am... Even old Miracle Rogue or Deathrattle Hunter wasn't that frustrating to play like Jade Golems :/

I know what you gonna say - Jade counters control decks, and i'm aware of this, but i don't wanna play aggro/face decks... Maybe there are some tech cards, or specific combo decks to outplay Jade? For example - Rogue? Freeze Mage? I didn't try it yet but those are my "bet horses".

What do you guys recommend? Should I play Jade decks myself? Or there is some counterdecks to play with?

PS: I have all cards so feel free to give me propositions ;)

    Cheers!

posted a message on Getting to Legend Easy...

I reached legend twice - once with Mech Mage, second time with Combo Druid (you can check decklists in signature). Usually i was rank 5-3 max due to lack of time to grind Legend but i did it last month and few months before when i had plenty of time to play HS.

Those are my advices. I use them every time when i'm tryharding:

    1. After reaching rank 5 - stick to only one deck with which you are feeling comfortable. NEVER change deck after few loses in row. Learn strenghts and weaknesses of this deck, adapt deck to meta (meeting mostly aggro? cut some late game stuff, put more early minions and/or taunts).
    2. Take a break after 3 loses in row, unless you're gonna be so tilt and pissed off that you will make many mistakes and missplays. After 3 loses in row just go outside, watch some tv show, eat something, meet with friends or whatever.
    3. Pay attention to every game, every move your opponent does, don't alt-tab every turn to check facebook etc, don't talk with anybody - just focus on game, put some music you like and be patient. Every move your opponent does can help you later - for example, opponent hunter is pointing his minion with some card? You can be 90% sure it's Houndmaster and even if he doesn't play it this turn, you have knowledge which will help you decide to kill enemy Beast next turn - otherwise you would have dilemma "kill his Haunted Creeper or let it alive?".
    4. Track your statistic, at least on basic level (how many wins, how many loses). After 20-30 games you will see, if your deck needs improvments or maybe you are playing it wrong and it's time to change deck eventually? But remember don't switch deck after 3-10 loses (even in row). Shit happens from time to time - just track overall win ratio and if after 30 games you will have above 50% win ratio, you will reach Legend eventually.
    5. And my last advice (which i hate personally, but what can you do...) - play midrange/tempo or aggro deck. I know - i prefer more control decks too, but usually it takes so long time to get Legend unless you are playing few hours daily. So if you hate aggro and will never play it try some midrange/tempo decks like Combo Druid, Dragon Priest, Midrange Paladin/Hunter, Tempo Mage - those decks are pretty strong right now and you can reach legend with 1 of those if you play properly.

    Good luck! :)

posted a message on Things you miss from earlier stages in Hearthstone

I miss the times, when first 1-4 turns were "hero power -> pass" from both side and after turn 4-5 real game begin with big, slow stuff...

I miss the times when you had to care about Mind Control turn 10...

I miss the times when trading with minions and looking for value were over hitting the face...

I miss the times when only Aggro deck was Zoo (and even then, it wasn't pure aggro, because it still was trading with opponent minions so i can call Zoo control deck)...

I miss the times when vanilla minions were good (Yeti, Ogre etc.)

Then miracle came over and ruined game -> Next was Undertaker hunters and after Naxx Face/Aggro era became... -> Then we have Grim Patrons -> After TGT we have aggro/midrange meta game where only viable control deck is Control Warrior and maybe Handlock in some point.

posted a message on I guess the meta won't change that much...

Meta is even more faster now than it was before TGT. Before expansion we had Face/Hybrid Hunters, Aggro Paladins and Tempo Mages as fast, tempo/aggro/face decks. Now we have more... Secretadin joined to the party, druid got some low cost cards and when it used to be more ramp-ish now is super fast midrange (people cut Ancient of Wars, Cenarius etc). Priest was control, now became midrange (yeah, Dragon Priest is Midrange deck). At least there is less face/hybrid hunters which is cool (only Midrange/Beast ones)

But it's all about Tempo and good draw at the beggining of game - you fail at 1-3 turn, you can be almost 90% sure to concede because you have no chance to come back (there's few exception ofc, like Brawl, Flamestrike etc. but even that may be too slow). I don't know if it's good - i guess is better than playing vs "face" decks but still i was hoping for long control vs control games, when first 1-4 turns will be "hero power pass" :(

posted a message on The meta right now...

Rank 1-2-3 on EU is real Cancer fiesta - Eboladins, Tempo/Mech Mages and again. Some Patrons, not much, few Druids and maybe 1 Handlock per 3 hours. I was rank 1 and 2 stars and i'm now rank 3 and 3 stars... This is just sad ...
