posted a message on 29.2.1 Patch Notes - Small Adjustment to Quest Requirements - Armor Changes for Battlegrounds & Bug Fixes

To me the Weekly Quest become a "2 Week Quest" cause I just don't have time (or motivation) to play enough to complete the Quests. I often play like 3 or 4hs for week at most. So I guess that I would reach level 100 at the last minute of the Set.

At the very least Quest don't reset each week, so at least I don't lose all the progress. But I guess that the new meta is going to be reroll the "Win 10 Games" wherever you can, cause that's the trully difficult to do, the other ones in a couple BG games you can kinda complete.

And I'm not a bad player (not great, but not bad) but I tend to play very dumb decks, with silly ideas or overcomvoluted synergies, so on average I might win 1 out ot 3 games in wild, which means I must play like 30 games at least to complete the Quest, and I'm sure I don't play more than 15 games on a week. And I don't want betray myself and play meta decks or hyper aggro just to farm the quests, cause that's not fun to me, and if I'm not going to have fun with the game, I don't know why I would even bother in play it, while I have a lot of other games that I could be playing instead, and I often don't have time to do.

posted a message on New Weekly Quest Requirements

This is my proposal for the weekly quests:
    •Lower the conditions
    •Lower the experience
•Make them repeatable throughout the entire week.

Or at the very least, add better rewards. "For each Weekly Quest that you complete you get 2000XP and adds 1 extra pack to your season chests", or you get a random Epic card, I don't know. It could have a pool of rewards that you could see and choose if you care to do the quest cause you want the extra reward, or if is not worth your time.

In that case I could accept that they make harder Quests. But 15 Wins in a week for just like +400xp is crazy. I don't even think that I play 15 games in a week, much less win them.

I'm not sure because is a new rule, but before whenever you cast a random spell like with Yogg-Saron the spells didn't target Elusive minion, but they could target Stealth minions.

And I think that in the game code is implied that Stealth actually means "Can't be target by the enemy player" (even if thats literally not what the Keyword says, but HS is like this), because you CAN target your own Stealth minions, and if that's how it works, cards that aren't target by the enemy players, but by other cards, like Conductivity for example, should target it.

But this is just a guess based purely in my knowledge about the game mechanics. It is certainly a piece of information that deserved quite a bit more detail.

    But why?

I mean, in that specific interaction, Promotion should never have work. If worked that way before it looks more like a bug that as an actual design decision.

And I guess that it has sense with Elusive minions cause Conductivity says "the next spell also targets adjacent minions", and Elusive says "can't be targeted by spells". But is such an specifict interaction that I'm surprised they even cared about it.

But when they say "that portion of the spell won't have any effect." they actually mean "That copy of the spell" or if you cast, lets say Runed Orb, dosn't deals the damage but still Discovers the card?

posted a message on Duels Mode Farewell in 1 Week on April 16th

They can keep them separated from the pool. And we know they can, cause they were running Classic for a while that has an unique pool of cards exclusibly for that mode, and they removed the game mode.

And I mean, even less than that, if there is any hipotetical card that brokes the mode, just ban it, how much could that cost? Like you rather being unable to play a couple cards, that being unable to play the whole mode.

I wish they left it open. I don't totally buy the reasoning of why they close the mode. it could stay frozen without updates, like all adventure modes. And honestly I don't think that take much more than one guy working on it.

I didn't played as much as I should, but it was my go to for the weekly mission of win 5 [alternative modes] games.

    • [Hearthstone] Rules change! Temporary mana (such as from the Coin or Innervate) can now make you go above max mana. This applies to the base max mana of 10 and to any modified max mana, like if you’ve played Wildheart Guff or Audio Amplifier.
    • [Hearthstone] Another rules change! You can now have multiple of the same Sigil, Objective, or Aura in play at the same time. Secrets, Quests, Questlines, Sidequests, and Battlegrounds effects that use the Secret Zone are still restricted to one instance in play at a time.

This two changes are huge and I think they went a little unnoticed

They are. Wild doing crazy shenanigans in Wild is not an issue. The issue is Wild doing crazy shenanigans on turn 3.

By turn 6 you can already deal with it in some way. So they are solid nerfs cause the cards still could see play, but they dosn't have the explosive potential that they had before.

I think that they could keep Tome Tampering 3 Mana and just change the word Discard for Destroy, and that would be the best change, cause only targets the deck when the card is problematic but lets you play it in other archetypes.

But making the card twice its original cost is more according to Blizzard.

Woah. They really didn't revert Daddy D? Also Thaddius, Monstrosity wasn't that big of a deal in Wild. But which surprise me the most is The Jailer, it was preety mediocre in Wild in its original form, after the nerf I think that legit compits as one of the worst Legendaries on the game, and I'm talking aboug the heavy hitters of HS history, like Majordomo Executus and Duskfallen Aviana.

If anything at least redesign the card with another effect.

A part of me knew it was going to be Li'Na, Shop Manager , but I wanted to believe it was going to be Joymancer Jepetto. Sad day for the Free too play player.

Tho I was sure it wasn't going to be Splendiferous Whizbang or Zilliax Deluxe 3000 cause they are the most hyped Neutral Legendaries, and is not a very Blizzard move give away the cards that are going to get crafted on day one the most.

posted a message on All Whizbang's Workshop Signature Cards In One Place

I do like them a lot, tho I still have issues with some of this cards looking so much as a Mech.

But they are pretty cute. I hope I can get one of them this set. Last expansion I didn't got any Signature.

I still don't get why they don't just made a Signature for each class Legendary. Like for real, is really more important to give a Signature to a random card like Lab Patron (that to be honest I don't expect is going to see a lot of play) instead of an Inventor Boom?

I get that they need the Common ones to give them to you in Events, and they never would give you a Legendary for just complete a couple of Quests. But I don't know, It feels so random and arbitrary. I'm sure there was a better way to handle it.

posted a message on New Death Knight Legendary Card Revealed - Dr. Stitchensew

Imagine that works just like Carnivorous Cube. The Deathrattle is an empty vessel that needs the Battlecry to trigger.

And then you have to know the internal mechanics of the game. Cause the reality of HS is that a lot of cards don't actually do what they say. The most clear example is Rattlegore. The wording says that resummons itself with a -1/-1. But that's not true, what the card actually does is summoning an 8/8 Copy of Rattlegore that is an unique token minion that looks just like the original card, but is an 8/8 instead with a Deathrattle that summons a 7/7 new Token. So the card has the ilussion that Resummons itself with a -1/-1, but it just has 8 different Tokens stiched together.

It's a similar case with Da Undatakah, the card says that "Gains the effect of friendly minions that died this game" But it dosn't does that. It checks what Friendly Deathrattle minions died this game, then gives itself a plain copy of that minion's Deathrattle (Plain copies are the minions as they appear in your collection), and the Deathrattle of this card on your collection is empty, cause the Battlecry fills it, and if is in your collection, the Battlecry didn't triggered.

Okay. See. I can dig this. This looks like a good rune design to me.

You can play it on Unholy and Rainbow, but when it really shines is when you pair it with Blood to use the handbuff mechanic. I like them.

posted a message on New Death Knight Epic Card Revealed - Silk Stitching

0 to 4 is a huge range, and it casts at random targets.

With School Teacher you are playing a 4/4 body, that gives you a 1/1 that can target the spell, that you can cast wherever you want, and both bodies are Nagas.

Playing a card that only gives you a random card, at low speed unless you play this in a Ghoul or something, and that dosn't gives you anymore than that, I don't really know why would you run a card like this. Like yeah, the spell pool at the moment is pretty solid, but there is so much stuff that you can't control from this card, that I don't see in what helps to your deck.

Is not even a 2 for 1 like Twisted Knowledge, it's a 1 for 2, cause you need to spend a card from your hand and a minion, to get a card that sometimes is going to be useful, and that has to cost at least 3-Mana to be worth to price you pay for it, which stadistically is not guaranteed cause there is 25 spells that cost between 0 and 2 and 15 spells that cost between 3 and 4.

posted a message on New Death Knight Legendary Card Revealed - Dr. Stitchensew

Are you telling me that you made a Legendary about stiching stuff, with a doll theme, and you didn't use Dollmaster Dorian? The betral, brother.

Good lord I saw the video cause the card does something totally different to what I assumed the text mean, I thoug it was like Build-An-Undead and this gets all the stats and texts at once.

It's pretty clunky. Is a Deathrattle minion that you have to play from hand, which takes away the only advantage that Deathrattle has over Battlecry. The minion itself dosn't has any kind of Combat Keyword, and drops flat on board without any impact, for 6-Mana, dosn't adds the minions to your hand AND gives you the stats one by one.

On the positives is 4 layers of minions...Which is hard to remove. I don't know how this works with Death Growl to be honest. I assume that the "Stich" mechanic is just for flavor, and this works as "Gain Deathrattle summon X with Deathrattle summon Y, with Deathrattle summon Z", so it should work as normal. So that's a good card to play with this.

But is super slow and unlike Rogue and Hunter (or even Warlock), DK despite being the equivalent of necromancers in Warcraft, dosn't really has many ways to trigger Deathrattles, specially without killing the minion. (Plus, give this minion Reborn dosn't does anything, cause is a Battlecry)
