How are the rewards "a joke" when getting to Legend now gets you 7 rare cards, 5 packs, and 1 epic. I'm not a Legend player but isn't that more than what you would normally get? Just curious.
I do play Runeterra. It's okay but I don't think it's better (IMHO).
Welcome to Hearthstone. I'm not sure what region you play on, but I (almost) have a full collection on "Americas". So we could play and I could let you try some new cards/decks that you don't have at the moment to see what you like. I am certainly not the best player but I've been playing for a while and I would definitely share what I know.
You're welcome to add me to your friend's list: N0Sp00n#1422 (the o's are zeroes...because I'm so cool...LOL)
Good luck and have fun.
I have to agree. I'm a big Hearthstone fan (I absolutely love the game), but this announcement of an announcement shit gets really old! The build-up and hype are great to a certain degree, but after that my interest starts to wane; and this is coming from a self-described "fanboy". Blizzard is their own worst enemy at times...this announcement is SO built up at this point that I feel that they won't live up to the hype. I hope they prove me wrong : /
This is a non-issue, just squelch your opponent if you don't like it. Maybe the big reveal soon is that long awaited auto-mute function for people like yourself.
Just like extra deck slots, I feel this might be too "confusing" for the average HS player ; )
You do realize the rewards are additive, right? E.g. at Diamond 5 you end up with 4 latest expansion packs, 7 standard rares and 1 standard epic. That translates to a dust value of 640 assuming the established average of 100 dust per pack. With the old system, you would have gained 505 dust at rank 5 if you disenchanted everything- so it's roughly a 20% increase on dust with the new system. If you still miss commons/rares/epics from the standard sets, the new rewards are even better. The one group of people this new system actively puts at a disadvantage is the one that specifically wants golden cards rather than dust, because to them a golden epic/rare/common is obviously worth a lot more than the new rewads.
Care to explain why it's the most cancerous deck in history ?
I still have bad memories of pre nerf starving buzzard beast hunter, and pref nerf undertaker face hunter.
Pirate warrior with pre nerf patches.
Aggro druid with pre nerf force of nature, that 14 health threshold that you had to maintain at any cost while clearing the board every single turn.
And more recently secret mage in Wild is giving ME cancer. You just lose if you're not playing a t1 deck with an insane opener. There's just too much consistency, synergy and mana cheating in that deck for my taste. And the anti secret tech that is just so slow and barely improves your chances while ruining your deck against other classes.
And these are just the aggro decks. I won't go over cancerous combo decks but I could.
Nowadays Hearthstone has a little more tools to deal with the insane aggro openers.
Priest and Warrior with their efficient, low cost board clears and numerous healing cards will destroy this token DH deck.
Token decks can be very powerful but also very polarized and susceptible to counter decks/cards in my opinion.
In fact I think aggro DH with all the token synergy replaced with weapons and hero attack buffs and cheaper cards will be much harder to deal with. Wrathscale Naga is very clunky sometimes and without this card the decks barely does anything. And feast of souls while potentially game breaking I'm sure you found out is hard to include in a deck and can be sitting in your hand for a long time (I see there is only one in the deck you linked, doesn't surprise me) aggro DH needs cheap, direct damage, and cheap, direct card draw, not combos. And he has a ton of that. Cycling through your entire deck with Altruis will be crazier than turn 8 Wrathscale and Knife juggler shenaningans I think.

There is no explanation. We call it "clickbait".
I wouldn't even bet it will be the best deck in Standard, much less the best deck of all time.
So, I suppose you will quite likely get one star bonus for each rank floor you reached the previous season (with 1 being the baseline, since a star bonus of 1 would result in exactly nothing the way they described the system). That automatically results in losing the star bonus again once you reach the floor you surpassed last season, and from then on you have to climb without that bonus. Getting to the same rank you had before is much easier then improving your rank due to this. And hitting the floors becomes all the more crucial.
It also means that you will probably breeze through the lower ranks if you ranked reasonably well last season. With the maximum bonus of 11, it takes all of three wins to reach the Silver league, four more to reach gold and platinum each, then 7 to reach diamond and 12 to reach legend again. Not couting streaks and losses, which will make it even faster in the lower ranks, since losses do not use the star bonus, so each streak is worth mutliple losses "down there".
But even for more moderately ranked players, the new system works out nicely: If you earned a 6 star bonus, meaning you reached gold rank 5 in the month before, you only need 22 wins (again not counting losses and streaks) to regain that rank. Sounds OK to me, especially since losing will count for less until you reach the rank you previously had :)
The main gripe I have with this new system, without having seen it actually in action, is that with just a break of a single month, you basically lose all progress you have made over the last couple of months. Before it took a maximum of five months of not playing to go from legend to the eternal floor of rank 20.
Itsss way to much. They are suffering by their own succes. Nobody wants to play ranked and arena so they have to monetize BG. It saddens me alot, they will force us to spend 20$ every expansion!!!!
Speak for yourself, dude. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of players out there who enjoy playing ladder and/or arena much more than Battlegrounds. I, for instance, played BG only once since Open Beta release. Yeah, just one time, bro, that's all. ;)
