I would mostly agree with that. Seems like that is a design choice too given the amount of things that encourage just getting enough stats to survive and moving through the tiers quickly.
Nevertheless, I still play them quite often. Just not a lot of first place finishes happening...
There is something like a feedback. You obviously can't be happy all the time and adapt to everything that is thrown at you. I dont like some of the anomalies and that is why I play BG much less than before. Its ok if you enjoy them, that's your taste but for god sake don't assume someone is salty just because they don't like the changes.
Some people want something competitive. Some people, like that guy you were replying to, just are looking for time killing alternative to spanking the monkey.
I think that they have been trying to tell the player base that it is not a competitive mode since Darkmoon prizes were first introduced. Seems like the majority of the player base appreciates this and likes this direction. Isn't there more self pleasuring involved in telling everyone how good you are at a non-competitive mode? Also, I'm not looking for an alternative to "spanking the monkey". I can do both at the same time and still move up in the ranks quite well.
I think overall the idea of this, quests, Darkmoon prizes, etc. are really good. It keeps things fun and keeps any sort of competitive aspect out.
As this is the first run at anomalies I think there is more work to be done to make it a better experience. Like I said before my biggest issue is that their probabilities of appearing are all different which makes it more boring for me.
Unfortunately, I have not gotten the one tribe one yet and seem to get the Sire guy one way too much. Given the frequency at which the anomalies are appearing for me I would say it's a bust. I would like to experience them all at the same frequency. That's been my frustration with it so far.
I'd love to have more lobbies where the first minion is free. That was fun and opens up a lot of strategies. However, I just get the +10 armor and tier 7 thing again and again...
No entirely sure if that's a base copy is intended based on the card text. Although not entirely sure it's a bug and not something that simply needs to be clarified in the text.
The attack and health range is that of a 32 bit unsigned integer which is 0-4,294,967,295. It appears he got to half of that. Another double and overflow would happen. it would be cool to see how high people could go if they used a 64 bit integer for those values.
If the only solution is to completely destroy cards and archetypes, what is the point? That's all I see in these threads. Same old stuff, but people think their ideas are new or unique. Might as well only have 100 cards in the whole game with no text. Just "balanced" Chillwind Yeti stats. I'm sure that would keep people interested.
I consider balance to be the exact opposite of what anyone on here says it is. If they developed based on what people say here it would be the worst game on the market by a huge margin.
Just play what you want to play and the ladder will not put you with the net deckers. I see net decks maybe 1 in 10 games and all I play is homemade jank.
This is mostly true. I've been playing Big Demon Hunter since it rotated to wild and see net decks occasionally, but not to the level people here say it happens.
Man this topic is so boring. How many of these threads need to exist? I only play wild these days and don't have any issues with it. Yea stuff is messed up and you can lose on turn 4, but get rid of that and the next thing takes its place. That's how the format is supposed to work. Play better and just brush off the losses.
a. Is your own message productive? If so, how? How do you determine what's productive and what isn't, and why should your opinion on the matter matter? Who is to decide what's productive and what isn't? Based on whose standards? Yours? Because your own message it comes across as judgmental and patronizing. I'm pretty sure this disqualifies you to lecture anyone about doing something "productive". Do people need to constantly be productive? Why?
b. What's a conspiracy about what I've said? I've said that people should be skeptical about the way corporations describe their own products. I'd say that's about as measure and reasonable as it goes. In other words, it would more simple to say that developing BG doesn't have an impact to the main game than starting to argue with the userbase that it's "worth it".
A forum to discuss Hearthstone is where people come to discuss Hearthstone.
Aren't you proving what I said? And you're backtracking and changing what you said to save face. Look at what was quoted from your post about your knowledge of the "truth" which even Blizzard is ignorant of. You don't need to save face with a bunch of internet people you'll never meet. That's just odd. You've got more issues than a magazine rack.
In conclusion, it’d remain skeptical as to what a corporation PR says, it’s not gospel, they’re not your friend and they’re certainly not driven by the truth.
I get what you're going at but sometimes the pessimism can be a bit extreme here, damn. They're just regular folks doing their jobs which they are probably very passionate about.
This mentality is pervasive on here. It's the same logic conspiracy theorists use. They have some secret knowledge that only they know and they can see the big picture better. You can see it when the guy talking about the truth as if he knows it better than everyone else. Just like every other paranoid delusional out there.
They also take personal offense to any evidence to the contrary. It's truly a miserable place to be and why they have to spend all that time writing a super long post that adds up to "I'm right because I said so." The world would be a better place if he used that energy for something actually productive.

New expansion. Same thread.

Ice Block. Hate the decks that built around it. Just made it feel like there is nothing I can do.

Still there. I get offered it quite a bit. I thought the same about Promo-Drake for a second though. Just normal variance it seems.
