Flash Heal only saw play because of Auchenai Soulpriest. Also, healing is part of Druid's identity - they mix armor (for shapeshifter spells) and proper healing (for Druid spells). They just went a little overboard on the armor in the last two years.
2 mana 1/1 deal 2 actually isn't that bad in Arena, considering Spring Rocket is an excellent card. The fact that it can potentially have other synergizes (or even just be played on the board as a somewhat sticky minion) pushes it into great territory.
Also, like Unstable Evolution, I assume Extra Arms and Twinspell work slightly differently. Unstable Evo will still get added to your hand even if they're cast by a minion, while Echo spells actually won't. If it works the same way, Extra Arms will generate More Arms if cast by a minion, but a Twinspell wouldn't.
If anyone is wondering about this guys' story, it looks like he's based on Crystalsong Forest, which has Dryads that were turned into living crystal. This is the first example of a Keeper of the Grove being affected, but it's a nice nod to an obscure bit of lore.
Also, that's noteworthy since Crystalsong is in Northrend. Kalecgos and Nomi are from the Broken Isles version of Dalaran. I guess they're doing a fusion of the two rather than any specific period.
I didn't like it that much at first either, but the song eventually grew on me. It's very much a Disney Villain song, particularly Poor Unfortunate Souls. It's this half-singing expositional showtune piece. I really enjoy it.
I'm sorry, but spending 8 mana to remove a giant or similar, when I could do it for 3 Mana doesn't seem "super strong".
Sure, it's more flexible and you basically need only one slot where formerly both "shadow word" removals were placed, but I'm still not convinced that the high cost for big removals is justified.
And I really think that the "only playable at end of turn" - issue is a huge problem. (in many cases you might want to cast something else AFTER removing a big threat)
Well, it's less "Pay 8 mana to kill a Giant" and more "Have a card capable of killing a Giant instead of a completely dead 2-mana spell that never has any targets ever". You don't run Forbidden Words instead of Death, you run it instead of Pain. It can do pretty much everything Pain can at the same mana cost, and is also way more flexible if need be.
Remember that time Magic the Gathering died when they brought Nicol Bolas back? Went back to Ravnica again? Seeing some more Eldrazi maybe? I sure hate it when games do things I like, and then take a short break, and then use the things I like again.
Hey, remember that time Hearthstone had a set based in Dalaran? I think it was a few years ago. All those Dalaran-themed Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Druid, and Neutral cards. Unfortunate that they're 100% only retreading stuff that's already happened, huh?
I really like the concept of Hero Cards, but the execution was pretty bad. I'd be okay if they brought them back at a Zul'jin power level, particularly with the strength coming from the Battlecry rather than the Hero Power itself.
Well, that's not 100% true. Blizzard explicitly said that Cathedral Gargoyle was made to try and push a Wild Dragon Paladin. There might be other such cases.
But you are right in that most new cards are made for Standard play. Eventually Wild will fully stagnate, as the strongest combos possible are created. That's just the nature of the mode.

Is everyone just ignoring Lesser Jasper Spellstone? That's obviously the best comparison.

I know all that, but he wasn't in Dalaran itself until Legion.

Probably not. They never changed Unstable Evolution to Echo.

So I guess this is why Power of the Wild had new art. All the Choice cards are getting distinct art to tell them apart at a glance.

With Raven Familiar, Year of the Raven is now bunk-ended by ravens. No ravens in the year itself, though.

I got Professor Putricide! That's a sweet little dust boon for me.

Hex was nerfed during Knights of the Frozen Throne. There's no way they were recording footage for this expansion at that time.
Is Hex getting... reverted?
