Hearthpwn

The problem is hearthstone simple mechanics and the hunter's hero ability.  

I have similar thoughts.

I've gotten to rank 3-5 several times but could never get to legendary.  I'm not sure if I'm really skill plateau-ed or if its because of my lack of willingness to play more than a handful of games a day.

The hardest thing for me to wrap my mind around is the whole metagame adjusting of decks. 

 Although I'm no statistician; If you play 30 games/day is that even a good sample of what is really being played? I doubt it. 

The few times I tried to reach legend I would play a large number (though not really enough) of games and even around rank 5 I would still face a variety of different deck types. 

Sometimes I would loose several successive matches against a deck that hard-countered my own deck, then I would try to adjust my deck or play a different deck altogether.  Of coarse then after the adjustment, I wouldn't face the very deck that I had tried to adjust for.

There is such limited information about what your opponents deck might be before the game.I'm not sure if most people who claim to analyze the meta and adjust accordingly really know what they are doing.  There doesn't seem to be any explainable to teachable method for getting beyond what I feel is a very elaborate version of rock-paper-scissors.

Is there or can there be a way to filter out all the stupid gimmick decks for beating heroic bosses in the decklistings?  The way there is the yes/no selection for arena decks.

These things are really starting to clog up the lists for such a limited part of the game.
