Then it will get a second nerf, Blizz even said this themselves. They still need to nerf Sire Denathrius also 5 mana for a 3/3 is very bad tempo now, will probably always be a dead card vs. aggro and some midrange decks. Still good to counter combo and steal late game wincons.

Theatar is not a curve card, rarely do you play it asap to benefit. you wait until 7+ mana to steal out cards before they get played and shut down power turns, etc.
Honestly this doesn't do much but make quest priest 5 mana slot more palatable.

Guff is also objectively worse at 5 mana compared to being technically 4 mana. The game still needs Theotar, so he'll be played lots. Just not as much as he is right now.

Pacific_Onion posted a message on Patchnotes Coming Thursday - Changes to Theotar, Wildseeds and Harpoon Gun TeasedPosted in: NewsTheotar is better at getting the right card than some people realize. I see so many people get upset about losing Theotar odds while having a hand full of dupes. Theotar can't discover dupes. If the opponent has 10 cards in hand, 9 are coins and the other a Denathrius, Theotar will hit opponent's Denathrius 100% of the time.
If Theotar could discover dupes in hand it would have had a big impact on how consistent it's been. Take the example above. It would go from a 100% chance to get Denathrius to a 30% chance. A 4-card hand with 1 dupe would no longer be a 100% hit rate and a 5-card hand with 2 dupes would no longer be a 100% hit rate. -

Nomator posted a message on New Big Warrior!Posted in: New Big Warrior! Then play with tempo rogue.
Its tiring to see these complaints under an off meta deck that its getting destroyed by a disgusting top deck in HS.
I'll try this deck purely because it looks fun, not because of the win rates. -

iLoveTriples posted a message on Crafting Legends Advice Please.Posted in: Wild FormatAt first I thought this was your disenchant list. I'd recommend you don't craft this stuff unless you have some weird meme you want to accomplish. Grumble is a good one if you want to play shudderwock or, borderline playable, elementals.
Decent neutrals to craft, that see alot of play, might be Baku the Mooneater, Genn Greymane, Loatheb, C'Thun, the Shattered, Kazakus, Theotar, the Mad Duke, and maybe Kazakusan, Blademaster Samuro. Yogg-Saron, Hope's End for the memes, Malygos is played in some OTK decks.

Strongpoint posted a message on Battlegrounds Season 2: Coming August 30th!Posted in: NewsThey actually promise it won't be the case Runestones will be available in bundles of various sizes, including quantities that correspond to our major products (like the Battlegrounds Season Pass), so you can buy exactly the quantity needed for that product or you can stock up on more for later.
ut those runestones are awful news... My excitement for any new modes is killed by those, chances are that they will also be P2W like battlegrounds. Currency that can't be earned in-game is always awful

Malaky posted a message on Battlegrounds Season 2: Coming August 30th!Posted in: NewsIt means that instead of having to spend X money for item Y you'll have to buy "Runestone Packs" to afford the runes to buy item Y, which will be conveniently priced in a way that buying a single pack will never be enough to reach the right number of Runestones.
It's the same tactic they used on Diablo Immortal where an item would cost "600 gems" but buying one pack would only give you 500, meaning you had to buy two, but now after you bought the item you still have 400 leftover gems, meaning if you buy a third pack you will reach 600x again and will be able to buy something else yadda yadda. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

IMHO the whole card reveal is always a big tohuwabohu that can and should be ignored until all cards are revealed. You literally miss nothing and only gain confusion, false hope, wrong stats in the cards etc etc. Of course as an enthusiast this is hard and I fail at that too, but then again, that is my fault and I would only blame me.

At turn 8 there is also a chance for such a spell based deck to have one or two Hedge Maze on board, potentially triggering the deathrattle at the same turn, getting one or two 0-cost big minions and play them on the same turn.
1
Apparently the text on this card is a bit misleading and minions on board still count as cards.

Fair points. But still, it is a bit risky as a top deck, getting 7 mana 2/2 that does nothing until other minions have died feels bad IMHO.
1
Is this better than a jacked up Jace Darkweaver?
2
Really? Without any of Taunt, Rush, Divine Shield etc a single huge pile of stats just sits there and get ignored, frozen, shield slammed, whatever. Think of playing Mutanus, which can be huge, but does not prevent you from dying on that turn. I also think that Big/Ramp Druid has better things to do than running this card, which is probably one of the most miserable top decks possible.

Discover random spell pool gets more junk, good.

Also note that the other minions have stealth, not gain stealth. As long as this thing is on the board all other minions keep their stealth, even when they attack.
