RendInFriend posted a message on March of the Lich King Launch Day - Everything You Need To Know!Posted in: NewsMy biggest problem is that they are monochromatic and look very similar. I have vision problems and it’s difficult for me to read smaller text, so often I don’t read cards and names when played. I have a feeling I’m going to have to hover over every signature card and squint.

Cleedek posted a message on 24.4.3 Patch Notes - Balance Changes For Constructed & BattlegroundsPosted in: NewsThey need to change the logic of Theotar, the Mad Duke to discover duplicates also (right now if you have 2+ same cards in hand, it will be shown as 1 of 3 options in discovery). Also as someone else mentioned, the card you will swap from your hand should be random. I think, that people would be satisfied with this change and it could stay 4 mana even.

RaptorWithWings posted a message on 24.4.3 Patch Notes - Balance Changes For Constructed & BattlegroundsPosted in: NewsI wouldn’t mind Theotar as much if you Discovered the card you steal but the card you give away was random. Always losing your best card (if not your win condition) and always getting something barely usable is a ridiculously annoying way to lose, especially since it’s neutral, so every deck that can run it does. Since it’s the only card in Hearthstone with a hand-rip effect that lets you choose the card, there should be something other than moderate tempo loss to make it less omnipresent.

FortyDust posted a message on 24.4.3 Patch Notes - Balance Changes For Constructed & BattlegroundsPosted in: NewsTheotar will never fall out of favor unless they remove all single-card win conditions from the game. They would also have to avoid creating any strong combo archetypes until he rotates out. As long as any of these exist, Theotar will be prominent.

priestblack posted a message on 24.4.3 Patch Notes - Balance Changes For Constructed & BattlegroundsPosted in: NewsTheotar can single handedly win games. An increased mana cost of 1 won't change that. In the very least I'd like to see it's discovery functionality to include duplicate cards. I'd wager that the majority of the player base would be perfectly fine with the card if that were the case.

Not necessary, but it really helps your win rate. When your opponent plays a big taunt later in the game, or a huge Insatiable Devourer you can smash them in their face for the win. Hard to get there without Rokara, the Valorous.

Theotar, the Mad Duke now costs 5 instead of 4. I seriously doubt this will lower the rate at which this card gets played.

Offer 5 full extra mana crystals at the start of each game for $2

So far this is "just" another currency, nothing really changed (except the Battleground pay to win scheme, of course). But this will almost certainly change. There is no case in history where a change like this was beneficial for the customers in the long run. The only question is, how aggressive will Microsoft/Activision Blizzard push their 'milk it & kill it' scheme? E.g. only two mulligans for free, three with the for pay battle pass? With the option to relaunch their Hearthstone-IP as a 'remastered' mobile only game, if things go really south? Endless options for ruthless managers ahead.
I hope I am completely wrong with my predictions, but as a Blizzard fan since Diablo 2 in the 90s, I have lost all faith in the remnants of this once great company.

This seems the biggest news IMHO. Still not clear what this exactly means, but I fear nothing good.

So I guess every week a one step quest instead of a big chain? Well, whatever, it's free stuff anyway, I don't complain.

Druidic army knife: ramp, draw, body. Everything a druid wants, in one package.
1
Card draw for Rogue (possibly cheated out for free) is boring? A Rogue with cheap card draw is very, very dangerous.
2
Cheating out secrets, thinning your deck along the way, makes them much less clumsy and awkward. A bit like Sword of the Fallen for Paladin really enabled their secret package. Secret Rogue looking promising so far.

Hooray! Card draw for Rogue! Clumsy, awkward, but card draw!
