The reason Blizzard are making the artificial distinction is they don't want to give players cards, they want to loan them for the season (and remove them later). I.e. because they are greedy.
This whole "Blizzard are so greedy" shtick is becoming very overdone. What is being described is not even "greed". It's entitlement (again).
For example:
Entitled guy : Hey that's a nice car! Wish I had one like that.
Other guy : Oh, well here's the keys. You can borrow it for a bit.
Entitled guy : You mean it's mine to keep, right?
Other guy : No, I'm lending it to you so you can use it. I can't just give it to you for free.
Entitled guy : Ehrmegherd! You is liek, so grEeDy!

I actually read this as if we get quests for packs/gold instead of exp during events, which would be a strict increase. I guess we will see.

Unfortunately you lose the effect once any card is shuffled in. The effect is nuts, but I can't see it be game breaking since it is very easily countered.

If you haven't bought any msg packs, wait until next expansion. You'll get a guaranteed legendary in your first 10 packs, which might help choosing a deck to play.

I'd remove the second Necrium Vial as it's mostly an extra dead card in hand and a single copy is enough. I have never seen myself actually play the second copy in a game.

I feel sorry for you, but I guess it is just luck. Playing since JtU and opened 3 golden legendaries, from which 2 from witchwood
