Actually thrive is AMAZING at getting the 10 cost OTK.  Rarely does it not work.

Yeah this deck sucks.  Not enough early stuff.  Players are usually able to play around the secrets to their benefit and get double buffs, combos, spells, whatever.  Can't outlast the OTK decks.  It really isn't good against anything but REALLY poor draws.

I JUST came back about a month ago after leaving a little over 3 years ago.  But already I've found it's a cesspool of OTK decks.  I HATE "I win" cards/combos and right now this game is littered with them.  The priest who can hold on then OTK, the shaman who can freeze to delay and delay and OTK, the warlock...and the WORST of them all Kazakusan.  That card is WAY overpowered even with them nerfing it!  

NOTHING feels worse then outplaying your opponent.  Heck for example the other day I was sitting with 30 health and 48 armor!  Got OTK from a Shaman from never ending 0 spell for 4 damage cast a billion times!  Stuff like that SHOULDN'T happen!

Wow you took a cookie cutter fast deck and won with it.  Who would have thought!

I mentioned flying mechanic months and months ago.   Don't be trying to steal my ideas! O.o

Here's the state of hearthstone.  It sucks right now.  It's all rock > paper > scissors.  That's really all you need to know.

Yep the meta sucks right now.  I barely play too.  NEVER played this little of HS and I've played since launch!

The most interesting thing of this article was that Ben Thompson is creative director replacing the Brode.  Was this even announced?

This actually is my big worry.  Why you ask?  Because I have loved HS for the last 4 years.  Play almost daily even if it's only around 4-8 games.  Now I barely login and play.  Leave quests sitting there (previously I ALWAYS finished my quest every day!) and get frustrated and have NO fun when I do play.  It makes me NOT want to buy into the next/last expansion for this year.  However if I skip it and it all of a sudden get's better next year then I'll be behind.

This deck is pure high roll. Awful

The only time I ever thought, "this isn't fun, and I don't want to play anymore," because of the game itself (as opposed to just getting bored) was during Knights of the Frozen Throne. I think I was a mostly f2p player at that point, and I remember thinking, "this is stupid. Anyone that has the hero card wins. Anyone that doesn't loses." That was the first expansion with hero cards for every class. I suppose I could've just aggro'd them down, but it wasn't my style, so I got frustrated. I didn't quit though, and have had ebbs and flows in my interest level. Still f2p though. I don't mind not getting higher than gold 5 on ladder.

I think it was when ben brode quit, like after gadgetzen the expansions became worse and worse.

Mr. Smite has to go though. That card is so dumb

Honestly its really really slow. I was lucky to be alive at turn 6 against a token druid. Managed to win because of advanced explosive trap and he pack tactic my Moonfang and I got to play mountain bear. But we'll see.

This thread is to be a home for legendary crafting advice. If you are not sure which legendary you should craft next, this is the place to ask! We only recommend disenchanting golden versions of legendary cards until you know you will not buy more packs from the corresponding set. Keeping even the worst legendaries will increase your chance of getting a good one next time due to the no-duplicate rule. We will try our best to stay on top of the meta-game with updates, and hope this thread can be a valuable resource for new and veteran players alike to make better decisions with your dust!

Disclaimer: A tier list like this can never please everyone; the meta game is dynamic. If you think a card is in the wrong tier, please explain and provide links to deck lists or other data to support your claim.

Please note that some of the cards may not be craftable, and are received through adventures or rewards.

How to read this list:

If you spot inconistencies or errors, please post them in the thread and it will be looked into!

Buildaround: Playing an archetype without this card does not make sense. Ex: Baku the Mooneater in Odd paladin 

Staple: The archeype can be played without this card, but it will almost certainly hurt your winrate.  EX Death Speaker Blackthorn in deathrattle DH.

Good card/near staple: The card performs very well in an archetype, but you can find replacements which are about as good.

Playable: The card is not strictly necessary for the archetype, but can be a nice personal twist or tech option. EX: Al'ar in deathrattle DH.

Niche: Used both for cards rarely used in common archetypes and important cards for rare archetypes.

THE TIERS:
The focus of this list is competetive ranked play. Fun/interesting cards and cards performing well in duels or other formats are usually not given a bonus.

TIER 1:
Flexible cards which see a lot of play in different classes and archeypes and important cards for the strongest decks.

TIER 2:
Cards which are typically very important for "tier 2" decks or viable tech options in tier 1 decks. Also contains some flexible cards which do not have the play- and winrates to be put in tier 1.

TIER 3:
These cards are typically not strictly necessary for competetive play, but that does not mean that they are never seen in the top end of the ladder! These cards are recommended for fans of particular classes or if you want to try a specific deck and have the dust to spare.

TIER 4:
These cards will typically gather dust in your collection and hurt your winrate as tech cards, but they can be used for meme decks, tavern brawls and curveballs to  surprise your opponent. Also the "graveyard" of staples of many outdated archetypes, especially in the Wild section.

TIER 5:
While the the tier 4 cards might give you some moments of joy, the tier 5 cards should bring mostly disappointment with their low powerlevel and how hard it is to make them work as intended. Many of these cards have common, rare and epic counterparts which are strictly better for almost every situation.
