I've never been such a fan of Kibler as I am now.

Gooaa posted a message on The direction the game has taken is wrong (imo).Posted in: General DiscussionClearly there is something wrong in the game right now.
Luna's on 5, Boom on 7, lens on 4 and you can concede. The swing turns are way to strong for some classes, there is no way of coming back. This is NOT TRUE.
I've won enough games when opponent did what you point and lost enough when i had done the same.
There are a lot of counters for (at least most of) this swings.
I'm enjoying the game, it grows, it tries something new.
btw: Wizards' of the Coast Magic: The Gathering has huge swings too (eg Planeswalkers) for a VERY long time and their expirience says that it is a good successful decision. -

Shadowrisen posted a message on I hate the reputation of "A recent opponent would like to be your friend"Posted in: General DiscussionIt's not that there's a stigma, there's just a lot of suspense.
It's funny, sometimes I'll have the "challenge a friend for 80g" quest and I'll friend the first guy I play against.
Usually, they don't accept.
If they do accept, there's this moment or two while I'm typing, and you can cut the tension with a knife. Will he wish me cancer? Will he promise unnatural acts on my mother, while my sister watches? What circle of hell has invited me to be its friend?
And then I'm like, "hey, gg, I have the play a friend quest, you want to play for 80g?"
You can always sense the surprise, even through text.

Chill_Priest posted a message on Master's thesis on eSports spectating motivesPosted in: General DiscussionHi guys! I'm a newbie Heartstone player and big eSports fan, and I'm currently writing my master's thesis on eSports spectating motives at the University of Leeds (UK). I'm really struggling finding respondents though, as eSports do not seem to be a big thing here in the UK (sadly).
It would be unbelievably helpful if you could take 2 minutes of your time to fill out my anonymous survey below; I got 2 weeks left until submission, wish me luck! And thanks in advance!!

95% wild player too here, I've been playing since forever and at this point I have all the cards for decks I want to play, though this bundle gave me most of the cards I missed from previous sets (cards that I never played or some epics I never wanted to craft like Sideshow Spelleater ). After that I got a decent amount of duplicate dust (around 1200 I think).
It's also a good rush of nostalgia, opening these old GvG packs

First off, congrats on getting to rank 16! Not many players get there as fast as you did 👀
IMO, getting better at the game really helps you climb and enjoy the game more; having a stronger deck certainly helps but that's not something you can really speed up unless you spend some $$$.
Obviously you'll improve the more you play, but watching someone play is one of the best ways to learn. Many pro players, such as Firebat for example, tend to explain the decisions they make while playing. Honestly you can't ask for better tips than being inside the thoughts of a pro.
Another underrated way to improve is simply knowing your opponent. Sure, you can't choose who you go against but if you queue up against a Rogue for example, you can learn to expect fast paced decks, so mulligan in consequence. A great website to know more about what people are playing is HSReplay, there's a page with the most popular decks of each class and, on top of giving you new deck ideas, will show you what to expect while playing.

Interesting take on Pogo-Hopper decks, I love the strong tempo it generates on top of spamming pogos. I played a couple games with that exact list and I enjoyed it a bunch!
