We've been trying super hard to keep 80g safe from scammers, sucks to see some still get through :/ I've been playing whack-a-mole day and night banning these guys 🛡️ 🗡️
I hope this generation gives us some real old-school challenges like Whitney's Miltank from Gold/Silver, something that just utterly steamrolls you the first time and makes you reconsider your team and battle plan. The games have felt very easy in the story with the Battle Trees and the like suddenly ramping up in difficulty.
95% wild player too here, I've been playing since forever and at this point I have all the cards for decks I want to play, though this bundle gave me most of the cards I missed from previous sets (cards that I never played or some epics I never wanted to craft like Sideshow Spelleater ). After that I got a decent amount of duplicate dust (around 1200 I think).
It's also a good rush of nostalgia, opening these old GvG packs
From what I can see you're absolutely right about the secondary and tertiary decks.
As for the main deck, it looks like its more or less the basic version of the deck, not specifically built to counter, rather made to hit face and pressure with tempo
First off, congrats on getting to rank 16! Not many players get there as fast as you did 👀
IMO, getting better at the game really helps you climb and enjoy the game more; having a stronger deck certainly helps but that's not something you can really speed up unless you spend some $$$.
Obviously you'll improve the more you play, but watching someone play is one of the best ways to learn. Many pro players, such as Firebat for example, tend to explain the decisions they make while playing. Honestly you can't ask for better tips than being inside the thoughts of a pro.
Another underrated way to improve is simply knowing your opponent. Sure, you can't choose who you go against but if you queue up against a Rogue for example, you can learn to expect fast paced decks, so mulligan in consequence. A great website to know more about what people are playing is HSReplay, there's a page with the most popular decks of each class and, on top of giving you new deck ideas, will show you what to expect while playing.
Interesting take on Pogo-Hopper decks, I love the strong tempo it generates on top of spamming pogos. I played a couple games with that exact list and I enjoyed it a bunch!
This deck looks really fun! I'm gonna try it out whenever I have the time 👀 i'd probably swap the Stonetusk Boar for something that hit face harder like Leeroy Jenkins , though I like the synergy with Sonya Shadowdancer and Hobgoblin

As a pokemon nerd, I really like these.
I really like Golisopod and the card you made of it and First Impression are really nice ^_^
I was wondering if Xurkitree's battlecry would also Overload you for each Lightning Bolt ?

What I tell myself when losing to RNG is that RNG can't be controlled, so instead I look at what I could control and how I played the game.
... and then I tilt when I realize I made a misplay

I actually didn't even consider that, but it's actually perfect here
