HMcCool posted a message on Logo Leaked? The Academy of Scholomance!Posted in: NewsMy guess is it will star Kel'Thuzad before he was a Litch as a head master of Scholomance school of magic.
Each class will get a legendary "Teacher" as each class is a different lesson. E.g Mage will have witchcraft, Hunters Magical Beasts..etc
Probs the twist will be something like "Oh no, a bad guy is trying to turn Kel’Thuzad into loving necromancy and destroy the school, come on gang lets stop him in a crazy 5 wing adventure"
Mr. Bigglesworth will return and complete us all

Jaturna posted a message on Patch 17.2.1 Is Live - Balance Changes & Bug FixesPosted in: NewsI had my fun with Shadowjeweler Hanar, but I'm glad she was nerfed. Probably still needs a bit more honestly, but at least there are tech cards to play with.
I hit legend with Highlander Hunter, so I'm sad to see the Scavenger's Ingenuity nerf haha, but again, it was expected.
It's not female, it's a he.

HeadHunterHS posted a message on Raza will get nerfed againPosted in: General DiscussionJust play the 4-3 bird, dirty rat. Do something to win the game. You can't just sit and wait and then ask "oh wait why is it turn 10 and this deck is slowly winning". Different power levels. When Gul'dan summons 7 demons or aggro decks win by turn 5 nobody bats an eye, but when Anduin starts to build up his control power past turn 8-10, everybody loses their minds. Every deck has it's thing.
There are honestly far more broken decks now, look at the meta...
The most annoying - Darkest hour coinflip. This is the alternative of old naga giants warlock. It is technically the same thing. THAT is broken. No real counter if done turn 3-5 with those spiders that make spells cost 2 more. You can only hope for like plague of murlocs or poison seeds to be in hand and not 2 spiders to be on board. But Raza priest can be countered. Simply even by getting tons of armor with control druid for example. Play your win condition, do tempo, do hand disruption. Find ways, this is the fun of HS :) -

Neeson posted a message on Help me to finish this wild reno mage PLEASEPosted in: General Deck Building- janalai way to slow in wild and you will never activate it
-daring fire eater not meant for reno mage
-kabal courier card is bad
+meteor very good removal

+pyros if you are playing the nzoth version or if you really want, you can add geist but there are hardly any jade druids on rank5 - legend ladder.

Glad you enjoyed playing it :-), ysera really is a strong finisher in these lists

It is matchup dependent on which hero card you want to end up with at the end, Malfurion the Pestilent is in the deck because it helps a lot with sustaining your life total over the course of the game. I find my self frequently playing him after Wildheart Guff to help me gain +3 armor each turn after sustaining against decks like Pirate Warrior or Odd hunter. The +3 attack is also useful for dealing with minions and pressuring their life total every turn. It may seem awkward to be running two hero cards in the same list but Guff and Malfurion don't require prior setup and are always going to be playable cards.
Having two hero cards in the deck makes sure you're able to draw at least one throughout the game. Not every matchup requires the draw a card every turn that guff provides and simply just uncapping your mana with guff while ramping, drawing a card and gaining 5 armor is good enough for the net 4 mana investment you put into him. Moving on to having a +3 HP gain each turn with a swing of 5 armor and two scarabs IS relevant enough to justify running both as they both play out very well together in practice, and is why I continue to run both.

Awesome to hear, I'll check it out when you have it up :-). This list is still holding very strong for me climbing the legend ladder, maintaining a 70% winrate @ 61-26. The only changes I've made is experimenting with swapping Overgrowth with Biology Project which has felt great especially with guff.

Glad you're enjoying it! it feels VERY strong in this meta right now

Glad to hear! Hope you have as much success climbing with it as I have.
I'm really hoping the new DH hero card being added will be able to support this architype, I will definitely be building upon it in the future.

You could Try Odd priest, I have a friend who has climbed to legend with it the last two seasons. This deck can also support a dragon package through Draconic Studies, Cleric of Scales, Drakonid Operative. The new Malygos that refills your hand with spells could also potentially fit in the upcoming core set. This deck farms Aggro, farms big priest, does well against Renolock, and has game against combo through Mindrender Illucia. It's by no means a tier one deck, but it does well across the board in matchups and is legend viable. There are a lot of potential changes you could make for the deck, this version is running Lyra the Sunshard and Dragon Soul thanks to Palm Reading.

Here's the deck string for my dragon version I was testing, which is a lot less refined since I have played significantly less games with it, but it might help give you a starting perspective for you to try going with dragons. Lyra the Sunshard and Dragon Soul are more of an experiment right now, they aren't necessary and the deck plays fine without them. I just love the alternate game plans they offer. Palm Reading is just insane and enables so many cards to work that would otherwise be bad (such as those two). Some options to try in their slots are Kobold Stickyfinger, Brann Bronzebeard, Deathlord (Honestly not a huge fan of Deathlord right now), Sphere of Sapience, or maybe you could cut the Coldlight Oracles and try to make a dragon package work, which I've been wanting to do with Cleric of Scales and Drakonid Operative.
I've also just been experimenting with a bunch of different cards, one of my favorites right now is Fortune Teller. I ended up dropping this as a 5 mana 10-10 against pirate warrior then magnetized with Zilliax to instantly win the game haha, I'm not saying a card like Fortune Teller is meant for the deck, but I think experimenting with cards we would otherwise overlook is something this deck can benefit from. For example I really think Power Word: Glory is seriously strong in this deck as a removal/restoration spell that sets up our Hysteria and Mass Hysteria, if I never took the risk to try it, it would have never seen the light of day, and that's why I'm choosing to give Lyra the Sunshard and Dragon Soul a chance. Anyways let me know how it goes! It's been preforming awesome on ladder, I had a buddy pilot it to legend in two days from bronze 10 and I'm about to hit it myself, Raza priest is really the only poor matchup.

I haven't played any paladin since the expansion released but I'll be sure to update it if I feel like any new cards would fit into the list. Regular Odd paladin got some potentially good support with cards like Lothraxion the Redeemed, Oh My Yogg!, Day at the Faire and Carnival Barker but I'm not sure if any of these would fit into this deck.

Wow that's awesome haha. It would probably depend on the cards you're missing but I'd wait since the new expansion is coming out in less then 2 weeks. I'll update the deck if there are any new cards that fit into the list.

If you want to focus more on the combo game plan, you could opt to run more draw tools. Cards like Blessing of Wisdom, Acolyte of Pain, Coldlight Oracle, Divine Favor and Hidden Wisdom are odd cost and could be included into the deck. Even a card like Sphere of Sapience could help dig at a cheap price and is even a card I tried in the early iterations however cut due to its anti synergy with Muster for Battle. I chose not to include those cards in the deck due to their limitations or anti synergy. I perceive this deck as a flexible midrange list capable of ending games quickly through quartermaster, drawing them out with Librams as control tools or finishing with a combo. 80% of my matchups I'm winning off the value of my hero power and the synergies it ties with the deck. Decks that I fail to beat down (the most prominent being odd warrior) I end up beating through the combo after applying pressure the entire match.
The issue that I see with cutting existing cards to include more draw is that it will either take necessary pieces out of the combo or will take out cards that already have synergy with the existing draw in the deck. An example being cutting any of the cheaper minions would ruin the drawing power of Crystology and Salhet's Pride and cutting a card like Animated Broomstick would greatly weaken the strength of Lord Barov, Libram of Justice and Solemn Vigil. While you could cut down on cards such as Quartermaster, Muster for Battle ECT for more draw/survivability, I feel doing so would ruin the spirit of the deck and would null the reason to even play it over a normal Uther OTK list. These cards are the glue that keeps the deck's purpose alive through a flexibility of game plans and non linear matches.
I guess to conclude, I believe it's a difficult task finding space to add more draw and to answer your question. I would probably cut 1x Muster for Battle to include a Sphere of Sapience as this is the easiest tool to include to dig through the deck towards the combo and Muster for Battle is the card that has the most anti synergy with it in the deck.
