BroF1sT posted a message on Petition to Blizzard to give Full Dust Refund for Kargal BattlescarPosted in: General DiscussionLet's raise our Voices and don't let them get away with this backdoor scam, everyone who crafted Kargal is left empty handed with an unplayable Watchposts Package and less Dust in the account. The game isn't cheap as it is, we can't afford to waste Dust on unplayable Legendarys. Kargal Battlescar was very playable until the Nerfs, and nobody wanted him to get nerfed, but that's what they just did.

Dunscot posted a message on Full golden decks in low rank wild.Posted in: General DiscussionIf they are indeed all Standard cards, it could just be a golden Whizbang the Wonderful. He'll automatically give a player a Standard deck (from the deck recipes) and if Whizbang is golden, so will be the entire deck.

JoshoPrime posted a message on "New" Core SetPosted in: General DiscussionClassic and basic will rotate, but some of the cards will "come back" from those, sets, since this is the first year with the system it will be a little confusing, just imagine the rotated cards were out of standar for 5 minutes, and then came back, with the next year set core will be more clear, with diferent basic and classic cards coming back after a year out of standar

b1ak1ce posted a message on "New" Core SetPosted in: General DiscussionAll Basic and Classic Cards are gone, rotated. Some are coming back in as part of the rotating core set. So for Fireball, there's going to be a Fireball - Core and a Fireball - Basic.
Fireball - Core can be played in Standard and Wild.
Fireball - Basic can be played in Wild.
If Fireball isn't added as part of core in 2022 then only Fireball - Basic will exist for 2022, only playable in wild. -

MoonUnit posted a message on Odd Warrior Post Rotation Unbeatable?Posted in: General DiscussionOdd Warrior is the only successful deck that is comprised almost exclusively of Year of the Raven and Classic cards, but that doesn't mean it will be unbeatable. It can compete in today's climate because what it does is decent against a lot of the Year of the Mammoth strategies. Once all that rotates out, other classes will be forced to innovate and use Raven strategies (plus whatever new cards they get in the first set of this year). Some cards that have already been released and will be available after rotation that have solid game against Odd Warrior but don't see play because YOTM cards are too broken (and some that do see play) -
Baleful Banker
Lab Recruiter
Pogo Hopper
Academic Espionage
Mechano Egg
Kangor's Endless Army
Dr. Morrigan
Augmented Elekk
Mecha'thun
Mechanical Whelp
Immortal Prelate
Soulwarden
Spirit of the Dead
Not an exhaustive list just a few things that are decent or broken against Odd Warrior. Of course there will be new Warrior cards as well but we can hope Blizzard is sensible with their mana costs and doesn't make something too retarded that can be played in Odd Warrior (hopefully reckless flurry doesn't get replaced because alongside brawl and supercollider there is a little too much multi-minion clear). I expect it to be a strong control deck, much like it is now, but there are plenty of answers available already and will probably be more come the new expansion. -

Wingdude22 posted a message on Odd Warrior Post Rotation Unbeatable?Posted in: General DiscussionYeah, also Iksar mentioned they try to solve the Genn,Baku problem before the next expansion....
Otherwise OddPaladin and Warrior look strong indeed.

1xbenx1 posted a message on Odd Warrior Post Rotation Unbeatable?Posted in: General DiscussionThere will still be Mecha'Thun and Hakkar/Liam type things that can happen in fatigue. Prelate can still go infinite.
Losing Reckless Flurry is massive against Aggro.
I think it's definitely a deck to watch out for, but it might be fine. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Certain players hate certain decks. "Hey loser! ... wasn't meeee". "Greetings fellow humans ... heh heh heh". "Alas poor Warlock".
So what if there was an option to ban a certain class you can queue against? Make it a weekly ban so if you are playing aggro you can ban Priest, but cannot ban Priest the following week. That way people can try out new decks as oppose to playing the same class for weeks on end.
I know with the new expanion on the horizon alot of annoying cards will be gone from standard, but there will always be some new ones around the corner.
Is this something anyone can see being introduced into standard in the future? (It is mandatory to ban a class in competitive Hearthstone, so why not on ladder?

At first glance the changes look great, the 2 main cards staying that stood out to me was backstab and shadowstep. I think a great deal of the community would've liked these 2 banished.

"Little over half are returning basic and Classic cards"
So this whole "new revamped set" is around 150 old cards still remaining in standard? Please tell me i'm reading this wrong ...

With the three expansions rotating out in April, i can't see any deck which would beat odd warrior.
With Worgen on 3 to rush away any minor threatening minion or Shield Slamming Mountain Giant on 4, into Dyn-o-matic to clear on 5 or brawling a wide aggro board.
Warrior seems to have the early game covered.
Of course with the April expansion releasing 100+ new cards, there will no doubt be some great cards to synergise with those from Rumble, Boomsday and The Witchwood expansions.
But with so many powerful cards rotating out including the OP Death Knight cards, only Warrior(Dr.Boom), Hunter(Zul'Jin)& Shaman(Hagatha) have an alternative hero to play.
Dr.Boom has so much value for late game it's hard to see any current hero out-valuing him.
Are we going to see a Meta of hour long mirror fatigue matches with both Dr. Booms having X amount of armor? Interested to hear your opinions and if anyone has theory crafted any new post rotational decks yet.
Well Met :)
