posted a message on [Speculation] Goblins VS Gnomes release date!

All "evidence" points to a December 2nd release. If this is the case I suspect we will receive a card dump today or tomorrow during maintenance.

    1. It doesn't make sense to release 120 new cards in the middle of a season.
    2. The last official card reveal is in a few hours.
    3. Maintenance is extended by nearly 3 hours tomorrow.

How so? It's unlikely that it will survive the first hit on a minion without a divine shield, so really it's 3 damage to the face and 3 to a minion. Kinda like a suped up Leper Gnome

The trade off is the unpredictability. Coming from a priest player when you find time to play it you're thinking, "Okay... this is going to be awesome or... this is going to hurt." Yes, the 32 vs. 30 card advantage is nice against a fatigue game but unlike Arcane Intellect you're pulling 2/30 completely unknown cards from your opponent. At least with AI you have a better chance of getting cards to help your own set.

TL;DR -Thoughtsteal is an awesome card but it's not overpowered, it's RNG is its boon and again its bane.

I'd still like to see it at 5 mana, 4 at the lowest.

5 mana Thoughtsteal is unplayable. 4 mana Thoughtsteal is a terrible card. 3 mana Thoughtsteal is fine: In line with other +1s like this with an RNG component.

3 mana for a 2 card advantage is already OP, not to mention it often grabs top tier cards. 4 mana is not unquestionable at all.

you are only salty because you see them playing the cards, you have no idea how much pain it is to see the unusable cards doing nothing in the hand, after wasting 3 mana (usually a whole turn) getting them.

You're speaking as though I've never played Priest. I have, and I always run 2 Thoughtsteals, because most of the time they're OP.

Well if you are hunter and you give enough time for the priest to play thoughtsteal then you deserve to lose. That card is only good against control classes and priest has no time to play it against hunter because of the huge pressure.

If you were hunter and you let the priest use a whole turn to play thoughtsteal and then a whole 6 mana turn to play highmane and the priest also had time to attack with your stolen highmane to bring down your health the something really went wrong there.

He played it on Turn 3 and Turn 4. How am I supposed to counter that?

You don't "counter" it, you simply put so much pressure on the priest that he has to react on board or lose. Hunter vs priest is a hard matchup by default, you have to be the aggressor, mulligan for a good curve, play around removals a little and bring down the priest's health. If you don't win in 7 turns you most likely lose, you can't play this matchup slow. I don't know how in the hell the priest had time to play highmane, against hunter this card is rarely played because it is too slow and you die before you could attack with it.

I did have a good set up. Turn 1 Undertaker coin Webspinner, followed by 2 more deathrattle minions. He didn't play anything until Turn 3, and then I lost.

Just lost because of Animal Companion and Savannah Highmane. Extremely frustrating.

This is the most BS card in the game. 9 times out of 10 it grabs my best cards, and the Priest can play them before I even draw them myself. I'm so sick of going against a Priest just to lose to my own damn cards. It should be removed or bumped to 5 mana.

posted a message on Card duels 101: Voidwalker vs Mana Wyrm

I would say Voidwalker is the better of the two, however I've had a few games where I was unable to remove Mana Wyrm quickly enough and it ended up costing me the game. Overall, the benefit from Voidwalker is more consistent, and it's great for Aggro.

posted a message on Some cards I'd like to see added with Eye of Azshara

Greetings players! This is my first post on the forums, long time lurker. With the upcoming Hearthstone expansion likely being announced this weekend at Blizzcon, I thought I'd share some cards I'd like to see added that I feel are lacking from the Warlock class. I'm aware that the cards will most likely all share a common theme, however it's possible that additional Neutral and Class specific cards will be released as well.

How to fix Pit Lord: Add a bit of strategic play to it.

The current version of Pit Lord really only has value in Molten Giant decks, this change allows it to easily be combo'd with Flame Imp or Voidwalker. You still lose something to play it, but it doesn't have take a huge chunk of your health for a card that will likely bait a removal anyways.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Felhunter: This is so obvious but it needs to be said

     ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soul Stone: Warlock is very lacking in heals/tankiness, which is the opposite of how they are in WoW. I feel that Soul Stone could open up many new strategies. You could combo it with Power Overwhelming to get that big damage, and it would revive after your turn.

     ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Health Stone: More heals. This could be used to compensate for Flame Imp/Pit Lord damage, or to simply heal a minion.
