Nah, I've only played around with this a little bit but this one seems quite weak. Too slow and has two many things that break it entirely (silence, Reno, etc). I plan to see if I can find a slightly better version at some point, but I doubt it'll be reasonably competitive at all while Reno and similar are regularly played.
There are two separate methods for matchmaking. MMR is basically only used when you have a star bonus (or if you're in legend). Otherwise you're matched based on your rank like before.
Quote from Blizzard:
Q: How does matchmaking work for each season?
A: There are two matchmaking pools: matchmaking by rating (aka. MMR) and by rank.
When your star bonus multiplier is bigger than 1, or you are in Legend rank, you are (generally) in the first matchmaking pool; when your star bonus drops to 1, you are in the second pool.
It seems to be very finicky and is only working with the deck they provided (at least for me). Even then it only worked for me with Naxxramus on the second attempt.
Lots of cards CAN be swingy in Hearthstone based on getting very lucky or unlucky (Brawl is a good example of this). The main concern is the frequency in which it occurs. In constructed MCT is a tech cards against decks running lots of minions, the issue is that in Arena ALL decks are minion based - hence the issue.
As a general rule of thumb, it increases whatever the numeral is. In Cinderstorm it's the 5, in Greater Arcane Missiles the first number is written as "three" and the second as "3" so it is the second number that is increased (i.e. the amount of damage dealt by each missile).
The difference is that in this case it's one of the only (currently revealed) pay off cards for running treants whereas corridor creeper could be thrown into virtually any deck.
Well in a previous video they mentioned that there's a research project and a weapons project. I'd assume that the weapons project will be warrior. Research project doesn't really tell us anything.
By that logic Skull of the Man'ari would be garbage because it's a 5 mana card which is countered by a 2 mana card (in that case with nothing to show for it). Reality is that people don't always have an ooze in hand.
You're not wrong, but that is very much a win-more strategy. That combo is already insane without needing to play this new card as well. The real issue is actually getting it off.

Definitely has potential in highlander decks.

Yes it will. I haven't strictly checked with Undatakah but I have copied Sherizan's deathrattle with Unearthed Raptor

You can still make a single big mech that lives through the destruction though

Yeah, it's not a treant for the same reason that it's not a silver hand recruit (i.e. not an true tribe)

This will be key to a couple mage decks. Haha... ha... sorry. Seriously though, seems fairly decent
