I don't hit the button so I don't have to think about this... Also, it's extremely early to start this thread, the set isn't even out.

Well, as soon as it is out, people will say "Jesus OP it's too early to call for nerfs wth is wrong with you. SALTSALTSALT LOL" At least now OP won't be called salty for trying to get some predictions in.

Personally I'm assuming the eventual nerfs are in the last dump. Not sure which particular card yet.

    Quote from Shadowrisen >>

Arena just works out a different set of mental muscles than does constructed.

I don't stream, but you can look at people like Kripp as they are drafting their decks.  It's interesting to watch him say something like "card A is clearly the best pick overall, but I'm going with card B because . . ."  More often than not, he makes the right call due to some mixture of experience and intuition.

The casual arena player can be left feeling as if it's all about the card offerings, and to some extent, every individual draft is largely dependent on the card selection.  However, over 30 or 300 drafts, you start to see amazing consistency in play if you have a strong grasp of tempo fundamentals and you learn to evaluate your card selections along pure tempo considerations.

It should also be noted that Arena is a great way to function as an f2p player.  There's a reason all the better arena players have basically full golden collections in standard.  You have to work at it a lot before you can "go infinite", but after you get to a certain level, there's no real reason to ever spend money on the game again.

It should also also be noted that, starting tomorrow, the Arena "meta" is going to be a lot more exciting, as they are no longer simply offering the standard card pool.  I know they're starting out with Naxx, MSG, and at least one other wild set.  Should introduce a lot more variety to the games.  Free tip:  Priest is best.

Hmm... Maybe it's practice, then. I'll admit that the rewards made up most of the reasons why I gave the mode a try in the past.

Ahhhhhh poor little welp. We used to have just 9..imagine the horror....

Not sure if I get your sarcasm. I remember, and it was pretty terrible. It was one of the few things Blizzard did that was universally praised, so I'm not sure why they don't do it again.

I am calling it now: If Blizzard ends up nerfing anything mentioned here, all these anti-nerf posters will flock to say: "It had to be done.", "It was OP." or "I'm glad this change happened."

It was the same for Baku and Genn until they got rotated. It was the same for Jade Idol until it got a tech and Druid got nerfed. It was the same for Quest Rogue, TWICE. It was the same for Murloc Warleader and Finja.

True, some people will stick to their guns and say they dislike the changes, but most of the anti-nerf crowd goes silent when Blizzard acts. You people are massive hypocrites.

Some nerfs really don't make sense.

Blade Flurry, Equality or even the totem, but the vast majority of anti-nerfs post are just players don't like to see the broken cards they crafted/oppened be adjust and balanced.

Yeah, but nobody called for nerfs on most of those, so it is "safe" to disagree with that. Whenever a card that generates a lot of complaints gets nerfed, its previous defenders either scuttle away and remain silent until the whole thing blows over, or better, change sides and praise Blizzard for it.

I've noticed it for a while, but only with Baku and Genn did it piss me off enough to point it out.

posted a message on Free stuff with RoS?

How dares OP ask about the same amount of free stuff as before, ESPECIALLY now that HS got even more expensive?! Clearly he's a greedy, entitled player!

Good Lord, guys, I sure hope the multi-million corporation gives you something for your absolute loyalty against your own interests.

As for the OP, you were already answered. We're getting 12 packs, which are probably a good enough replacement. At the very least you get 540 dust, which is more than the free legendary would be worth.

None of the years have had any more than maybe 2 minions in the first expansion that are the theme animal.

There's only one bland Mammoth in the game from Un'goro and there was one crow (not even a raven) in the witchwood.

Tldr: you're a whinging idiot who got his hopes up. Now you're acting like a spoiled baby

Year of the Mamooth's theme was Primordial's, and Primordial Tribes. Mammoth icon was representing prehistoric creatures.

There was Tortollans, Dinosaurs, Mammoths, Prehistoric beasts, Lizards, Elementals etc.

Year of the Kraken, in the other hand; Kraken was representing old gods. There were "all" of the old gods.

Year of the Raven was well-themed too , It was themed around monster hunt. Raven was representing "scouting" for Monster hunt, more like Witch Hunt.

Come to Year of the Dragon now. They themed it as "Villains engage Dalaran". Lackeys are here, Villains are here. Dalaran Defenders are here but Dragons, Dragon-related stuff isn't here.

C'mon, don't fool yourself. Learn some symbolism, please.

Well, dragons are magical creatures with great power. We're getting Archmages, wizards, arcane crafters and even dragons. The villains are also pretty powerful themselves.

I am a top English and Portuguese student, both European and American. I've tapped into French and Spanish. I know just a teeny bit of Latin and German, and writing fantasy has driven me to learn a bit of Inuit too.

Despite this, I am still unable to find words to properly convey the sheer amount of inbred retardation needed to pilot a Big Priest deck.

posted a message on Calling it now

Did people really complain about Dirty Rat not being enough? Most complaints I've seen directed at the card were that it was too strong. (And TardisGreen ironically complaining that it is too RNG-heavy, but that complaint doesn't count because this is HS)

It's funny because Hecklebot is a lot less reliable. If you wait too long, your enemy will draw his combo and keep it safe in his hand. If you play it early, you are digging into a whole deck, and might very easily pull out something irrelevant. It won't be as much about skillcap as it will be about RNG. The anti-spell tech, though, that one takes timing, I'll give you that.
