CasmX posted a message on I want to play Priest, and I kinda hate myself for itPosted in: Wild FormatMy advice, wait until the rotation and then try and create some interesting decks in standard. It's (imo) the best time to play new decks and have fun with them. All the current standard priest decks are rotating and won't be viable so it'll be the best time to experiment with new ideas and have fun with it. That's what I intend to do.

OoZuNoO posted a message on Remove Tickatus from the game already.Posted in: Card DiscussionAAAAAAAND here we go again, another thread, another Priest player crying cuz warlock became their ultimate predator.
Tickatus has a very clear purpose: to allow ppl who hate Priest, like me, to make them suffer in agony for playing the most obnoxious decks in HS. You're just getting your just desserts, the earlier you accept it, the better.
Can a mod start locking these threads? They even tried to stop the crying by making an "official Tickatus" thread, it didnt work. LOCK THESE UP, force them to go to that thread for god sake.

Popeye123 posted a message on Control is dead because...Posted in: General DiscussionTickatus is one of my favorite cards because I love burning my opponents 16-attack kingsbanes and their wretched tillers. Sorry bro but f**k your deck that you copy and pasted off the internet. Specifically why I play tickatus, so I can watch my brain dead opponents playing rez priest cry when I burn their spell stone and 9 mana rez card (forgot the name). And most of the time he doesn’t win the game on the spot against a control deck, more against a combo deck that has combo pieces in which case, that is exactly what tickatus’s effect is supposed to be, a combo tech in a strong control deck; which is control’s weakness. and I think he accomplishes that role brilliantly. One of my favorite cards hands down, next to lorewalker cho and nozdormu (the classic). People that say he’s bad design dont understand design, especially if their argument is that he’s an anti-control card.

Legalos posted a message on Token Druid Wild LegendPosted in: Token Druid Wild LegendHi! Bloodsail Flybooter is a Rogue card. Bloodsail Corsair is a neutral card, costs 1 and filters Patches the Pirate! Also, Bloodsail Corsair can cost a maximum of 3 manas and be a 5/6 creature with the help of 2x Embiggen.

Shadowrisen posted a message on RNG makes this game a total waste of timePosted in: Standard FormatThere is a reason the same players percolate to the top of tournament leaderboards, GM league, ladder finishes, etc. etc.
If you truly believe it's Blizzard playing favorites, that's an unprovable (and therefore Un-DIS-provable) statement with the info we have available, but I'd just offer the bit of thought, "why would they need to do that?"
If you truly believe it's just because these players grind harder, you don't understand RNG. There are more players who DESIRE to be at the top of Hearthstone than there are places at the top of Hearthstone. Sooner or later something breaks the ties. Furthermore, if the only thing it takes to succeed in this game is playing more hours, YOU YOURSELF go do it and show us. Any one of the numerous RNG gripers on this site, go be the next professional success story. All you have to do is play more games, right?
We could easily settle this, though, and honestly, I think I want to make some YouTube content about this. Just go grab the OP on this post and watch some replays with him from GM league or last year's World Championships or whatever. Take him to a certain decision point in the game, pause the replay, and ask him to describe precisely how he plays this turn out. See how many times he picks suboptimal lines of play when compared to the player who actually played the game, and let the argument be settled.
If you want to play this game with yourself, go watch Frozen vs. Sintolol in the 2017 (I think) World Championship Semi-final round. There were numerous moments in that match where the average Legend player would have fucked the game up completely. Be honest with yourself, and tell me about the RNG being the dominant factor of the game again. If you're going to insist you'd have played it better, then you are definitely my first contestant on "So You Think You're Pro?", coming to a YouTube channel near you.

The buff to Jaraxxus has cemented Warlock as the alpha and omega of control decks, I'm still effortlessly smashing priests and maintaining a 60-70% winrate as I role into high platinum. All you have to do with priest is draw the game out and it's pretty much a guaranteed win, they just can't keep up with the creature removal, deck destruction, infernos and Ysaarj.
I almost feel bad for priest, I might after another 6 months of this.

If there was less Tickatus, there'd be more control preist, is that really better?
I don't play my tickatus because it's good, I play it to cull the control priest population.

This deck feels unfair, 5-0 and tearing through the gold ranks.
I don't have Revenant Rascal and used Shadowlight Scholar instead and it's been super effective, helps clear off your opponents board and or deal the killing blow and you don't use soul fragments for much else.

I've been a F2P player since dropping $100 on standard when it came out. The game stays fun because every expansion I can usually put together 2-4 decks that can get into low platinum and I'm happy with that. If packs were $0.50 each I'd pay $20 every expansion, get a few more competitive decks per expansion, maybe get into diamond and be perfectly happy with all that.I usually save up ~2k-3k gold before each new expansion drops, so by the time I'm done with my free packs, I have no incentive to drop $20 in the hopes that I get 1-3 cards I want. I accept that this game is for the whales and we all swim in their wake.
I seem to be the exact type of person Blizzard is targeting with these changes, but I'm just going to accept the fact that I'm going to be a little less competitive going forward, but they'll never squeeze more money out of me unless they drop prices for their card packs. The idea of paying the same as in store prices for CCG is ridiculous: there is no physical copy, I can't sell them, can't trade them and if blizzard stops supporting Hearthstone, they all turn into smoke and disappear forever.
Plus Blizzard are a bunch of CCP bootlickers and a hollow shell of the company they used to be, it's no longer a company i inherently want to support.

Bloodsail Corsair × 2 ! Can you explain? Why not use Bloodsail Flybooter and get more tockens? Is removing 1 weapon durability so important?
1
Is there some way to buff priest? I seem to play against priest 50% of the time and I'd like to get that up to at least 80%.

If we see a Harrison Jones resurrection we can safely say this card is broken.

I find 2x Power of Creation is essential for this deck type, putting out two full health Damaged Stegotron on turn 6 is bonkers, I also like to throw in a Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron as a hail mary play (it's honestly not a great card, I mostly just think it's hilarious). 1x Tortollan Pilgrim is really good, and Malygos, Aspect of Magic is a great add too. I also like putting in a Crowd Roaster
If you can your hands on those pricey cards, I'd cut Learn Draconic (too slow and bad with Tortollan Pilgrim), you can live without frostbolts and fireballs. I'd run with 1 Arcane Intellect as this deck has a lot of card generators and high value cards, but there is a lack of dragon cards that synergize with this deck, so you need to draw what options you have. Big Ol' Whelp × 2 is a also a bit too slow for the current meta.
The general strategy with these decks is to hold on through the early game, then use Dragoncaster to take over the mid game, then get the win with Pyroblast and/or dominating the board with Conjurer's Calling and other high value cards. This deck suffers from being too slow for the meta and really needs some better 1-3 drop options for dragons, which forced me to put in a Violet Spellwing I don't think anyone's breaking rank 5 with this deck type (Highlander mage is better, I just have no Highlander Mage cards).

When I got to Legend, the most important part was that I was unemployed, spent all day playing and knew all the other top decks and playstyles.

This makes some really helpful tweaks to the stock "Drop The Ancharr" deck. I'm finding a Sul'thraze a better choice over the Reapers, throw on an upgrade and invoke and you've got an 8/5 weapon capable of wiping your opponents board and finishing them off in one turn.
I'm currently trying a Sul'thraze and and Supercollider instead of Reapers, the Supercollider hasn't been very useful, but Sul'thraze has been rocking the house.
