The issue is that they gave people something, told them it was exclusive and special.  So you felt special for having it.  Then, they give it to everyone else.  It's no longer exclusive or special - it might as well be the base product.

If they'd not done it the way they did it, it would be fine, but instead they do this.  Should they put every hero that's ever been added into the shop despite marketing them as exclusive?  Elise, Lazul, Rastakhan, Khadgar? No, because that just shits on everyone who did get it - this is coming from someone who doesn't have either of those 4 skins, and I don't think they should be obtainable in the future, because people bought them BECAUSE they were meant to be exclusive.

Sure, Tyrande was free, but it's also your fault if you were too lazy to get it, and it shouldn't be given to people for free just because they started later and they want it.  That being said, I think an exception could be made for countries that were physically incapable of getting it in the past.

I think there is always a small disclaimer (or at least there was in Tyrande's case) that the hero may appear again in the future. The fact that people think that something is exclusive doesn't mean it really is exclusive, considering that there's normally a back door. Blame the marketing or whatever. They know that people buy things emotionally. If Rastakhan or the other heroes can be bought again for a price no lower than what you paid for, then you really have no say in this. You had your excitement when you bought them, there are new players too so why shouldn't they be able to pay for something just because of your "exclusive" ass? When there's no disclaimer, then you can whine.

So the first card is a competitor idea to mine which is the 2nd. Can someone help me understand why 10 times more people like the first one? Mine should've also been broken as shit? The random NPC from TBC is more flavorful? Simply by posting second I look unoriginal? I can't help being salty

@Kovachut it's not obvious what  "your Razorpetals ARE NOW Pellets..."  means. All of them? Or newly generated? Or generated in the past? You say you mean future ones in your comment but it should be obvious from the card text. "For the rest of the game, ..." or "Replace Razorpetals in your hand with..." would specify the future or the past better. I guess I can see the problem of "For the rest of the game, your cards that add Razorpetals instead add Pellets to your hand" taking up too much space, but that's still more correct in my mind.

Also, whatTheHeck said earlier that I don't need to add "that deals 1 damage" after Razorpetal. What do you think about that, consdering that both Razorpetal Lasher and Razorpetal Volley have that text? (and I got space)

@CheeseEtc Your card is extremely close to 2 mana 3/2 Battlecry: Add a Banana to your hand. Only that the other version can cast the Banana faster, but yours can see and cast your real card sooner. Either way it would be an autoinclude in every minion deck in the game with that face value.

Oh god there's gonna be a lot of monkey kings

Bananas are kinda boring tho and I'm pretty sure we've had a banana competition as someone pointed out. So I'm leaning towards this

    The cliche names ughhhhhhh

Kibler will end up being right about the basic + classic being a plague for the game. If you think about it and look back, every year when standart rotation happens tempo Rogue is the best or one of the best decks. Last year it was with Odd, the year before with Keleseth Shadowstep. And ofc new cards help fuel it but it is because of old cards like Leeroy and Edwin that it feels so dumb to lose to, ur like "ah this shit again".

Oh boy, this is going to get some wild ideas going.
For now, I've come up with this:

    Any thoughts?

It's overpowered I think. So you can't stack it on itself because it's not a mech itself but you could just Forbidden Ritual. Then if you have a Mech it's a lot stronger than Sound the Bells!. Then the cost part, does it even matter for anything? I can only think of Prismatic Lens that would cuck its mana cost, or like Mana Wraith <:

@GoliathTheDwarf all your cards are overcosted by around 2-3 and pretty weak, Sholazar Experiment is my favorite idea of the bunch but at like 6 mana.

Here's what I came up with, it's Mr. MYDESTINYISMYOWN himself during his mage days in the Moon Guard, where in one battle he did infact drain his fellow mages of mana to the point where they died in order to defeat the demons.

Looking for balance feedback, I'm really not sure about the damage of the hero power. It's a tough hero power to judge because it can only be used a small number of times, so it needs to be stronger than a normal DK hero power, but not to the point where it blows them out of the game.

going over how many spell damage minions there are that cost 5 or less (10 in standard, 19 in wild) i think maybe the hp might be too powerful. with 10 sd minions and this, you could effectively play cheap flamestrikes every turn after this card is played that also hit face. i'd either recommend that the hp either only hits minions or lower the damage and make it affected by sd.

Went over them too, there are like 5 standart that aren't terrible and 1 is legendary so 9 copies (13 in wild). If you played more than that, a big part of your deck would be those minions and you'd end up having to play a lot of them early game. You're expected to start blowing up your minions from turn 9 onward (turn 8 Illidan + HP), so realistically by then you'd be left with 5-6 copies maybe. And that is in the dedicated deck.

I originally thought about the dmg being (improved by Spell Damage) but I fear that the text becomes too long, and also ambiguous as to whether it calculates the damage before or after you lose the Spell dmg from the minion that's dying. Then if it doesn't hit face and you keep destroying your own minions how are you supposed to beat any slow deck... I'm just leaning towards 4 -> 3 damage to enemies for simplicity. Is that balanced considering it can be used at best ~7 times (at worst like 2) throughout a game and costs a card?

I'm probably going with a hero card and looking forward to seeing what hero cards you guys come up with. Almost all of the hero cards that Blizzard designed ended up being mega cancer - it needs to warp the game just slightly and not completely around it.

Isn't Rage Within being in Mage a flavor fail? Mages generally cannot manipulate or set Attack and Health, that's a paladin thing...  Wouldn't "transform into a Magma Rager" (even though a stronger effect) be closer to mage as they've had multiple transform / polymorph cards?

any thoughts on this :O , might be the smallest tribe, but still its a tribe

Extremely op. If we go by the Piranha Launcher standart, which technically summons 0 mana things, while this summons 2 mana things that Overload 1, that means your card should cost somewhere around 8 mana soooo yea it's too much value atm
