posted a message on Blizzard to Update Deathstalker Rexxar to Include New Beasts

Classic Team5.. Such an obvious bug and it just goes to show how unprofessional this team is

Worst thing is that there isn't even a date for the patch because how bad their ability to roll new updates is..

I'm sorry but the fact that you changed 1 card (even though this card WAS used in some of the duplicate decks) doesn't mean that you created a special snowflake.

I mean no offense but I give credit when it's due, and replacing 1-2 cards from a very known deck is not how I envision deck building..
If you come up with a cool new concept, or make a big change to a known deck (5+ cards) that's fine, but right now It feels like a copy paste with 0 effort.

    Cheers

Look at the similar decks tab, now back to this deck. Now back to the similar tabs, now back to this deck.
Realize this list was posted many times before and there is NOTHING special about it, nor any new insights.

It's the same Savjz Reno Mage deck that was posted on the front page of Hearthstone. Why do people keep up-voting duplicate decks like the author is some kind of a genius for coming up with the list?

posted a message on Control Warrior OP this season

Honestly no offense but you can't really judge if your deck is good or not yet.

At those ranks you can have high win rate with even a half decent deck.. The skill discrepancy between players is huge and there is far less emphasize on the specific cards.
The real test for decks begins at rank 5+, when people really care about win rate and mostly play refined decks (with hundreds games worth of experience).

I've seen streamers and other players (including myself) try to make control warrior work in this expansion at high ranks and failed but I haven't seen the Reno angle yet so you might be on to something here..

Keep pewpewing them, I'm curious to see if you can maintain a high win rate as you going up the ladder. I will definitely try it out!

Yeah I think this is a bad design as well. It's almost like discard mechanic, which imo is a very frustrating and non interactive.

I don't like that a single natural card can kill combo decks or decks that revolve around some minions (reno, kazakus) and the player has 0 control over it.  This is nothing like Deathlord where you can play around and not kill it until you draw your desired minion.

I'm aware Blizzard did it on purpose, but that doesn't mean it's not a stupid decision. Hearthstone needs more otk and crazy combo decks, not the same old boring Curvestone. Also the fact that it's random adds even more frustrations.

Sigh retarded RNG fest.. Why am I not surprised?

Like once a year Blizzard does a decent strategic Brawl. The rest is just stupid and broken. - You just press random buttons and win\lose

Honestly I'm just mind blown.... So many up votes for what?
Why are people so impressed and surprised by this deck? Like it's a new archetype or a secret combo nobody knew about.

This is a normal Tempo dragon deck. Many players and many streamers have been using that exact same list (at max 2 cards variance) for months and months now, and the ladder is filled with them. Just look at the similar decks tab..

LOL and I thought they were on top of things, play-testing for months, monitoring and debating which nerfs/buffs to include.

Turns out those lazy/clueless developers did the nerfs in a few days as a response to the raging community.
Do you guys realize how wrong this is? How unprofessional and insulting?

I ask as well - What exactly is team5 doing all this time? Really.

LOL @ those mindless zoo players here... PO is NOT balanced and should be nerfed.  Leeroy + 2-4 PO is NOT fine as blizzard is trying to move away from OTK combos and charge minions.

Honestly zoo had his spot for years.. I'ts about time zoo will fall out of favor.

You have to understand each change to a card means a loss of money to Blizzard. Indirectly ofc, but by giving people the dust back = people buying less packs = people spending less money. As cards come and go out of favor people will just disenchant to full value and get the new "best" cards.
That's why I suspect they never nerfed Dr. boom and instead moved him to Wild. So many people crafted him (and his golden version),

Ofc you can debate that making the game healthier will make it more popular but as we evidently see, they aren't doing it.
And the only thing I 100% trust Blizzard to do well is knowing the best way to get money from people :)

I disagree. You can't have a "loss" on something you haven't "earned" at the first place. This whole concept and argument with the dust is completely broken and non-sense. If you make a PROPER balance change to a card, then people won't have to automatically disenchant it (i.e. Starving Buzzard, Warsong Commander, many more). That's why there's a whole team behind that and that's what they are paid for - to find the best possible solution. If they can't, then someone else could.

Dust amount does not directly correlate to Blizzard's income from HS. There are MANY, MANY more ways in which real cash can be earned while the players are still satisfied and the game is balanced. I have mentioned numerous suggestions in other topics - you can check.
Why do they even have to fully refund a changed/tweaked card?!?! This is one of their fundamental flaws. In no other game there is such ting. In Diablo, Overwatch, Call of Duty, Battlefront, WoW... none of this games refunds you for changes made on something you already own. You just accept the fact that there are balance tweaks regulary and some of your cards may suffer from it, while others might profit.

If it's not done one-way (i.e. only nerfing), then players might "lose" the full dust value of a card that was OP and now is just good/balanced, but they will gain immensely more from other cards that have been utter crap but have been balanced and are now playable.
And again, there's always the intangible value of keeping the game healthy and interesting (as you rightly mentioned), which far outweighs some "losses" that Blizz may have from balancing cards.

When I wrote "loss" I don't mean it in the literal sense. what I mean by "losing money" is that they are doing a sub-optimal system of earning money than they could have.

I think our argument revolves around if Blizzard can and will drastically change their system.
Don't get me wrong - I 100% support your ideas, I just don't believe Blizzard will revise Hearthstone, and my argument "assumed" the crafting system will stay the same. Although I must say, I overlooked your point about nerfing vs. buffing value.

I would love it if they took a step back and make some big changes, but as a realistic (and a software designer) I think the chances are very low.

And I will definitely check your suggestions!

posted a message on Ben Brode on Randomness in Hearthstone, Karazhan Set, Magma Rager Dethroning
    Quote from filzchopf >>

So, i guess its time to say goodbye to Hearthstone for me. I kept playing till Karazhan because I had the (stupid) hope they would change their stance on randomness - i dont see it happen, especially with the highlighting of cards such as Barnes as a positive influence for the game.

I had fun these last 2.5 yrs, especially when there was a wider range of control and combo decks viable, sadly not anymore since classes get neglected for years while other remained Tier 2or higher for the whole existence of HS..

    cya

Wow and I thought I was the only one...!
Made a promise to myself to never again spend money in Hearthstone until Aggro and randomness is gone.
To be honest I barely even play anymore.
