I disagree... I definitely think this will see play...
TL:DR This card is cool but too inconsistent and all in all you probably have 30 other cards which are better for your mage archetype. The main problem is that you can't play it the same turn as your lich king. It's a good spell to discover though.
That isn't much of a problem really. You can play it the same turn you freeze the board or stall however. I disagree, this card is not inconsistent. It can be if you play it willy nilly, though that is obviously what you shouldn't be doing with it. Lastly, doesn't belong in a current deck, could very well belong in future deck. Don't judge cards based on what decks they fit in now.
I'm not just judging by the current decks. Historically the Control Mage archetype haven't been using this type of secret and if only just a small amount. Fact is also in an aggro deck you have much better secrets than this one, you can't deny that. This secret is far easier to play around as it isn't as disruptive as Mirror Entity and Counterspell. I'm not denying that this card wont see play in a future archetype after the rotation, but I currently I don't find it likely. The card clearly has potential but so does a lot of unplayed cards. The question you need to ask is: Why do this when I can do something better? And currently you have many much more powerful cards than this one because ultimately the goal if the game is not to build up and preserve a big board, but killing your opponent before he kills you. The big board is certainly one way to get there, but Mages just tend to have better winconditions.
Edit: I think the best and most consistent use this card is going to have is Kirin Tor Mage then play this on turn 3. That might be pretty decent though.
Obviously it's f*cking insane in arena, which is nice.

I'm not saying the card is bad nor am I saying it's not a cool effect, but would you really play it? If you are playing a control mage, you'll definately prioritize 30 other cards above this one, even if you are running secrets in a control deck, you are still playing Counterspell and Ice Barrier above this. In big spell mage this will be an inconsistensy. You might run it in big hand mage or odd mage, but I don't think it's likely. You might run a single copy in secret mage, even though Explosive Runes and Mirror Entity are way better in that archetype as they are much faster. I also think people overestimate how hard this is to play around, as Control Deck usually can just kill your big minion with removal and aggro decks will just ignore it.

The card doesn’t need to be extremely complex imo, the complexity of the deck in which you use the cards are far more important, as I find these decks a lot of fun. The old patron warrior is a great example.
Blizz: Let's give druid more card draw, that's just what the class needs. Also let's not make this card OP like all the other cycle cards druid already have...

Imma make a Rogue deck with this, Shadowsteps and Brewmasters, then queue up until I find a druid and make sure he'll never reach 10 mana.

You didn't even run Leeroy in the OG GvG face hunters, your most expensive card was wolfrider.
