The people talking about OTK decks here, rise of shadows did get some cards that can disrupt that, they may be good, they may not be, but cards like Unseen Saboteur which could cast one of your opponents combo pieces in their hand, another card such as Hecklebot which could just straight up summon a combo piece from your opponents deck, Hecklebot seems to be pretty decent really.
I think the amount of disruption available in the new expansion will let control exist again, since it gives combo a real threat to their whole gameplan, given the chance there is to see their combo pieces pulled form their deck or hand and squandered.
The lack of infinite meta outside of some weird card combinations means combo needs to draw and play their win conditions before disruption can go online and ruin it, so I honestly don't see OTK and combo being a huge issue outside of maybe Inner Fired / Wall priest.
This is all for the standard meta, of course. Wild seems to self regulate better, given the amount of tools they have.
yes exactly, that's why right now I don't think we need to be too concerned about OTK decks, but we'll see what happens soon, if anything becomes decent again it may be the silence priest deck with divine spirit/inner fire combo as that deck received support this expansion as seen on the final reveal stream yesterday.

To be perfectly honest I will say I am looking forward to playing a bit more again when this expansion hits simply because we're going to lose 3 of the most powerful sets we've probably ever had and because of those the sets that have followed just haven't been able to compete hense why the game hasn't been so great lately, not to mention we'll also be losing all the odd/even decks too which is also great so i'm actually kinda excited again to try some new decks out.
I just want to take a second to remind everyone about that one poster here called Billie something who used to spam every thread about how hearthstone is shit and artifact was going to be amazing and kill it off.
I know exactly who you are talking about. haha, that guy was beyond annoying, his name was Billie_Lurk, not surprised if he's been perma banned by now, definitely deserved to be, he never stopped going on about how Artifact was going to be the next big thing and put hearthstone to shame and kill it, blah blah blah, he also did nothing but try and promote it, I said a couple of times I think he had been employed or something to do what he did. lol
LUL, was waiting to see how long it would be before someone did this, Artifact is the shiny new thing and the people streaming it are giving away tonnes of beta keys so of course people are going to be watching it right now, they all want a key, it might be a decent game i don't know but it is incredibly boring to watch and the fact you need to buy the game before you can even play it, let alone then have to buy packs with more money if you want cards just doesn't appeal to me at all, there's a lot more I wanna say but it appears a lot of people in this thread have already said it all for me so no need to say more.

He doesn't mean the decks are bad bad, he means their bad because they don't contain many cards from the new set.

It's up to you really depending on whether you want to spend more money, but yes the bundle is better value than just buying the packs by themselves.

I started playing june/july 2014 which was when Naxx was out as my first ever cardback was the purple/gold naxx one.
