Please no purchasable cardbacks, don't give them this idea. We already have purchasable heroes and they're the worst.. Blizzard don't even print free/reward heroes anymore because of that

JagBone posted a message on Rise of Shadows Developer Q&A This Monday!Posted in: NewsPersonally, I don't think the devs will provide actual answers to legitimate concerning questions. Most probably they will answer allot of fluff questions like "What's your favorite [whatever] in the set?"
Looking at their Reddit AMA before release of RoS, there are questions about having a sense of progression, comestics, level system, gold system, wild store, wild arena, hero portraits, achievement system, auto-squelch and other legit questions. All were brushed off as "The team often talked them. Sounds fun! Haha!" That's all. *Cough*Tournament mode*cough*
5 years since the game release and it doesn't even have a basic auto-squelch function. Even MTG: Arena upon release have that simple function without the reliant on third party plugins. Even the plugins doesn't fully squelch the thinking emotes the hero does.
Overall question on everyone's mind is: "When will Hearthstone improve it's game client instead of just adding more cards?"
5 years and still barebones... I love this game, man. I wish the devs do something to improve the game experience than just adding cards..

Dunscot posted a message on Upcoming Hearthstone Balance Changes - Giggling Inventor, Mana Wyrm, AvianaPosted in: NewsUh... ok?
While I can see where they are coming from with Mana Wyrm, this seems sort of uncalled for. Yes. Tempo Mage is a good deck, and yes, it has been around since forever, and yes, Mana Wyrm has always been the baseline for any kind of aggressive Mage. Yet my impression is not, that Tempo Mage is a "problem" in the current meta. Neither is it too popular nor too strong to really shut other decks down besides maybe Quest Rogue (which needs all counters there are), and moving forward... I know there are a lot of people who don't like this type of deck and would gladly see it go to the void, but I think more playable cards and decks are better than less, and this makes this particular style of Mage deck a good deal worse in the future. More specifcally, the deck is possibly dead after the rotation of Aluneth and Explosive Runes, since Team5 won't make new burst spells either. I think, making it a 1/2 would have been the more plausible nerf. Aggressive decks need strong 1-drops to be efficient, whether you like them or not.
Aviana is pretty much just as I expected, and also a nerf I anticipated. Now, any combo needs to include one Innervate, requiring one extra card, making it slightly harder to pull it off. It will help, but then again, I'm not sure it will make Druids in Wild weak enough to change something. It buys you maybe two or three turns against Druid, but with all the survivability, this is just barely helping the situation. The point about Juicy Psychmelon not drawing her and Kun together is valid, but then again, these decks were already VERY strong before Psychmelon was even added. This pretty much brings Druid combos "down" to the state before BDP, where they already were near the top.
Giggling Inventor is just dead. I think 6 Mana would have been enough, even when they say they felt it was still a bit too good with future expansions. This just kills it, and I doubt it was necessary to do so. Now, I won't really miss it, but the joke is, this was one of very few cards in BDP that had any impact whatsoever, and now the whole set is worth even less than it already was. Decks go back entirely to how they were before BDP, throwing this card out, and changing their tech choices again. While I think Mossy Horror will still be in many decks after the patch since it helps a lot against Druids, Blood Knight is probably not worth it anymore.
What really confused me is, how many cards are not mentioned here at all. Fungalmancer, Prince Keleseth, Vilespine Slayer, The Caverns Below, Spreading Plague, Branching Paths, Saronite Chain Gang, Ultimate Infestation,.. I'm sure other people would like to add a few more.
This patch won't fix the problems in the meta right now. I'd even go so far as say it makes things worse, since it won't encourage any new decks or significant deck changes, it will just make the game look like BDP never came out, aside from Odd Warrior and the improved Zoolock. Certainly not what I expected from this "balancing" patch.

Psy_Kik posted a message on Join me in boycotting the next expansion.Posted in: General DiscussionBlizzard has yet to come around to the fact that the 3 expansion a year/wild-rotation/removal of adventures system has made the game vastly more expensive...about double what it was. The are relying currently on people not realising this, and they have made some gestures to help people ignore it - i.e the frost/fire festivals and the removal of random dupe legendaries from pack openings.
However, they know this is not enough, and once the majority of the player-base realises this they will change something permanently, so threads like this are good - raise awareness and all that. They could roll out the non-dupe rule to epics as well....they could severely increase the gold from quests, they could throw a significant number of free packs at people per year (significant means 30+ per expansion)...but sooner or later they have to do something, or the player-base will really start to bleed away. Being a 'whale' should mean golden decks, not barely keeping up with game, that's where the F2Pers need to be at.

mungo2613 posted a message on Missing Daily Quests? Try Changing Hearthstone's Game LanguagePosted in: NewsMaybe they should try changing the programmers instead? Outsourcing to India would be cheap?
It's beyond belief they would release a patch for a game that has 70m accounts without doing any testing beforehand.
They still haven't fixed the woeful performance (Hearthstone is not responding...) which they introduced with the Un'goro patch in April(!!!).
I worked in the games industry for 20 years and surely they can afford to buy "Advanced Windows" book which tells you how to make your program responsive (service the Windows message loop once a while).
It seems the audio is the only thing they multithread (since it keeps going when the app is not responding) - that's probably because the Unity engine handles that task for them.
Pathetic.

Inconspicuosaurus posted a message on The Best Gadgetzan Decks to Play Right NowPosted in: NewsTournaments are completely different to ladder. You can run a combo Renolock if you know exactly what deck you're going to use it against (ie your opponent's control decks) but on ladder where you have to be able to beat anything with one deck, you need answers for everything, including the heal and late game pressure of Jaraxxus for decks like Jade Druid. Combo Renolock is not going to work on ladder because there's no way you can hold out against aggro like Pirate Warrior if your win condition is a combo that has only one copy of each card in your deck.

WhiskyGeorge posted a message on Hearthstone Dev Interview - C'Thun / Reno / Inspire, Pirates, Spirits in ArenaPosted in: News"Creatively bankrupt" is the term. Ever since Brode took his A-team with him, and one can see why: The last three expansions have been really, really boring.
There's a reason why the WoW TCG was so popular back in its day (and it wasn't just because of the loot cards!). It took established characters and lore and put them in a type of game that was very different. That's what HS started out as, but this increased emphasis towards original characters and wacky hijinks just isn't working out.
I keep going back to this year's BlizzCon when the expansion was announced. The place was dead silent. Almost as much as the Diablo Immortal announcement. And not at ALL helped by that twat's attempt at faux-Jamaican accent, which frankly, all it did was remind me of that tone-fucking-deaf Adrian Brody moment on SNL.

MProdigy posted a message on Fed up of poor ass players & their impact on MY experience.Posted in: General DiscussionOp is right. It’s 2018, wtf is blizzard doing taking away the one luxury Golden’s bring to us? Tons of people crafted a golden Whizbang because it looks sick as hell rolling a golden deck. It’s a dick move if I’m being quite honest.

wow what a pile of crap.. why go out of your way to become the number 1 hearthstone news site only to shut it off after ( probably for the first cash offer ), just goes on to show this site never had any backbone
atleast we still have pro sites such as vicious syndicate and icyveins
i wont be missing any of you nerdy liberal entitled pieces of shit

I was referring to something they said they'd bring in the near future, past months cardbacks purchasable with dust, that was roughly a year and a half ago, still nothing.
I too think that locking heroes behind 80$ paywall is kinda greedy
6
Many things are still missing from the game after 5 years.. sense of progression, more comestics, level system, gold system, wild store, wild arena, hero portraits, achievement system, auto-squelch, customizable rules game mode, battle.net chat channels, purchasable past ladder cardbacks(with dust) and so much more amazing things
Still, thanks for the borrow decks option, most of my friends left the game over the years, citing price hikes and devastating nerfs as the main culprits, the last few that still plays it in my list are mostly using whizbang, might consider adding this guy to classic..

Today Blizzard decided that golden cards are no longer animated on phones, they say its to reduce the app size, i’m well aware that many people are going to be very happy about it because they struggle with their 16gb of storage phones, but let me get this straight, its 2018, up-to-date phones have over 500gb of storage and more tflops then the vast majority of computers sold this year, why would my user experience be worse then before because of poor asses who are rocking 2007 phones ???
At the very least this should be an option in the graphic settings, you can defend blizzard all you want but if you have a good phone, you got screwed, if you have a crap phone, well, I guess you wont be obligated to delete 2gb of cat pictures to update hearthstone.... SMH
-8
They should have made it an option.. my phone eats games like hearthstone for breakfast, with golden animations, hell, it could run much more demanding games, mmorpgs and anything you could throw at it, why punish those who have great hardware for no reason, make it an option.. wtf
-21
No, not at all, its 2018, phones have over 500gb of storage now and at the very least 32gb.. this should be an option, not everyone rocks 2010 phones.... smh
-42
“Phones now use lighter card art to reduce app size”
bitch please my phone has 512gb of storage and has probably more tflops then most laptops sold this year... how annoying they keep pushing the game for poor asses.. what the actual fuck
I am genuinely baffled...

id prefer a custom mode, where you choose what you allow, with something like 30+ settings, and then create your game, it could be lobbies, whatever, that's whats needed

My predictions :
Set will be meta breaking, 2-3 godly decks will emerge, after a month of FTP's crying about overpowered cards, they will nerf some classics that became really good because of new cards, end result, the FTP's spent all their dust on the new fancy legendaries/epics which are now utter garbage ( and cant get refund because, not a direct nerf ), then they will get rekt by seasoned players who dont give a donkeys ass about nerfs because hey, we have all the goodies.
I love capitalism.
2
Not these cards, see, you have very low IQ
They wont nerf something you paid alot for, because they have to offer full refund
those who crafted luna, aluneth, the druid decks, they got screwed lol and no way to get their dust back, now if this can force out some f2p, im all for it.
