Hearthstoned101 posted a message on Custom Class: The Price LordPosted in: Fan CreationsHello everyone!! It has been a long time since I made a hero. The previous heroes were the Lich & the Dragon heroes. Now, a third has decided to join the gang!! His name is Price Lord Cartel. He Is ready to play his cards and hope for the best. Ilmisterbeta posted a message on Malchezaar BUG (A WAY TO PLAY NEW EXPANSION LEGENDARIES)Posted in: General DiscussionI was playing duel and I put Malchezaar in the deck (a bit for trolling, a bit because of the 5 mana DH duel-only spell that summon 3 dormant demons from your deck),
and SURPRISE Malchezaar gave me Y'Shaary the Defiler .
Unfortunately I won the match before being able to use it (plus he is useless without corrupted minions xD)

BravoTeam posted a message on Last shaman post (repost to the right thread section)Posted in: ShamanI have my disagreements with these assessments (I think Weapon Shaman looks like a decent aggro/midrange deck, though not tier 1) so I'll go one by one.
Inara Stormcrash I think you're assessing this card from the wrong perspective. It's not really a board control tool, it's a face tool with some utility. I see it played in an aggressive Shaman deck with a lot of weapons and burn. This card does two things: It helps you burn the opponent out, and it helps you utilize all of your weapons. Weapons are a super efficient source of face damage, but the problem with having too many of them in your deck is you can only use one swing per turn and they end up turning into dead draws. With Inara you can burn through those swings really fast and take advantage of how efficient the damage to mana ratio is on weapons a lot better. Even if it only lives for one turn, you've dealt four damage with it and used up an extra swing of one of your weapons, which is both a lot of face damage and heavily unclogs your hand. This is not to speak of its synergy with one-turn attack buffs like Rockbiter Weapon and the new Stormstrike. If this Weapon Shaman deck works out it's entirely because Inara is in it.
Deathmatch Pavilion's wording I think is pretty clear in that it doesn't work with Windfury. It doesn't say "For each time your hero attacked", just "If". I still think this is potentially a strong tool. If you managed to play it boosted on turn 2 it's absolutely insane pressure, though that'd require exactly turn one coin into Rune Dagger, which I don't think you play in Weapon Shaman, but even later on it's a lot of Tempo. Just dropping this on like turn 4 along with another 2 drop is sort of like an unnerfed Call to Arms, and we know just how powerful that was. This is a great way to get some early chip damage in and set up your opponent to be in the range where they can die to weapon hits and burn spells.
Dunk Tank doesn't go in this theoretical Weapon Shaman and I don't think a controlling Shaman is going to do well this expansion, but I really dislike people calling it a worse Swipe. You put it in a slow Control deck that's going to have no trouble corrupting it. When it's corrupted it's a Swipe that's been powered up by Spell Damage and that does an extra damage to the enemy you've targeted. That's insane. Dunk Tank is a very powerful card, it just happens that the archetype it goes in is trash. If at any point while this card is in standard Control Shaman sees play Dunk Tank will be in it and will be one of the best cards in the deck.
Cagematch Custodian is obviously a card that goes in Weapon Shaman and is strong in it. It's also probably useful in other builds as a tutor for whatever weapon you want. Low key a really strong card.
Revolve is a hybrid between Evolveand Devolve. Yes, it's a weaker effect than Devolve, but it accomplishes the same goal of "silencing" enemy minions. If your opponent has, say a corrupted Fairground Fool it's basically Devolve, and the same with minions with strong text. You're giving them slightly stronger minions than Devolve would, but it costs half the mana and you get the advantage of also transforming your minions, which can be powerful if your deck is built right - not as powerful as Evolve, but still strong. If you're using only either half of the effect it's weaker than Evolve and arguably stronger than Devolve (since it's half the mana for a small downgrade), but the scenario where you can take advantage of both is strong. The dream is something like turn 4 Desert Hare into Revolve transform your opponent's big four drop into random garbage, but even without running Desert Hare it can still be a strong effect. Once again, not convinced Control Shaman is going to be good, but if it is Revolve is a big role player in that.
Overall I expect an aggro (or maybe midrange) Weapon Shaman to be decent this expansion. It won't hit Tier 1 and maybe not even Tier 2, but it won't be a complete joke of a deck. Its main problem is probably that Soul Demon Hunter just does the whole weapon thing better, especially with the new Lifesteal into damage Legendary, so there's no reason to play Weapon Shaman over it. Slower Shaman will continue to suck, but if it sees a few win condition type cards in future expansions (and replacements for the strong AoE it loses in the rotation) then Dunk Tank and Revolve will be strong role-players in that archetype. This isn't the expansion to bring Shaman back into prominence, but it lays a solid foundation. Any future weapon or hero attack buff card will need to be considered strongly and is potentially insane with Inara Stormcrash.

CookieFamous posted a message on Your favourite mechanic/keywordPosted in: General Discussion#1 Deathrattle.
I love playing around with N'zoth decks and I think they're some of the most fun card types. I'm always sad that there aren't a lot of powerful new ones are coming out that synergise well with that archetype for a few expansions now.
Magnetic was also really cool. I hope this some day makes a comeback.

Stop saying this needs a nerf because it fucking does not - it needs a rework, not a fucking nerf. This is a type of a card that always gonna be broken whether if you change the mana cost or the amount of spells needed for activation. So either blizzard reworks it or quest mage will stay forever

user-100394506 posted a message on Secret Passage is the best designed card in the last expansionsPosted in: General DiscussionSecret Passage in my opinion is the best designed card in the last expansions. It is obviously a strong card, maybe also broken, but it allows the game to be more dynamic and less consistent, this is why I consider this card so good. It can be a frustrating card, especially when your opponent is able to find lethal with it. But I consider it a fair card also against decks based on heavy control cards.
In my opinion, it is also a very skilled card, regarding, the obvious uses in which it is not a skilled card, for example when your hand is empty; this card is skill intensive when it is used when you have cards in hand, but you are using it to make a better and consisted turn.
So, I know that many can disagree, but for me Secret Passage is the best and better designed card in the expansion with an whole new mechanic. I am very happy about this card.

I actually want to play all the classes for the very first time after I saw the expansion. So I'll try to collect many good cards for each class from this expansion and others, as well as legendaries. So.., I'll have to spend way alot into the game if I want to enjoy all the classes in both standard and wild format.
But here is one thing I'll craft: Call me crazy experimenter... because I'm going to try out Hack the System. it won't fit warrior a lot, but it grants the class new playstyle, and I love it.
It's gonna work great with additional weapons in wild format, I don't know what plan I'll make, but it's gonna be great getting those 4/3 minions on the board.

All cards. It is the greatest expansion ever.
Will craft all cards, even a horrible meme card Desert Obelisk.
Best expansion ever since the hearthstone beta. This will be the beginning of the great era in Hearthstone, can't wait to see for another great expansion like this.

Yes, every weak statted minion compared to Eerie Statue and Arcane Watcher is playable with getting silenced.
Not.
2
I don't know... I like their current direction which is improving the powerlevel of the new expansion.
The thing is, I think they are just balancing the excitation of each expansion. Just imagine they made every awesome idea is in the expansion, but in the next expansion, they started to lose an idea for the next expansions.
For now, there are still some of the hidden neutral legendaries and let's hope they are not as bad as Griftah. I think reborn is a good start as a theme of expansion, but I believe they should add one more new mechanic. Such as my favorite one that they made the jade golem mechanic because it was entirely fresh and cool.
I'm sure they are making a great expansion after this one as it's a final part of the story.
EDIT: Not the hearthstone story, but the E.V.I.L and heroes story, I just heard this rumor.

I believe there are a lot of good 3 drops to evolve into, especially when compared to 2-drops and 4-drops. My favorite evolve spot is always 3-drop because most of the time it has decent stat
One card that can do that in the early game is Witch Lackey. This also includes hunter's secret from the Kobolds and the catacombs and the new card Diseased Vulture. This minion ensures that the 3-drop generator stays balances.

Uh, not trying to nitpick. But it's totally a packfiller card.
I'm very sure the cards dump at the end are much better than this card. It is indeed the worst card. there is also way worse cards like Millhouse Manastorm or Duskfallen Aviana and literally unplayable Poisoned Blade.

Yeah I know it is very specific dislike I have, but I'm really hoping I'm not the only one here that thinks about this crazy early opening. I was surprised that nobody mentioned it and there is no way people seem do not care about it. I just want to give my thought about it.
But yeah, there is definitely a way to deal with it, it's not a game over at all.

Does nobody mention about this?
Just imagine you face against your warrior that plays the spell for handbuffing taunt minions on turn 1, then he plays this guy with a 4/4 stat. Why does nobody seems to care about this? It feels very annoying to face against it, it's like a Totem Golem and Sunreaver Spy, not saying it's broken, I just don't like facing them.
Now I KNOW it is not a big deal, but damn I hate big stat minion like the ones I mentioned. But this is even worse... 2 mana 4/4 with additionally taunt and discovery effect. The combo might be rare, but I'm sure you guys will at least be annoyed when facing this kind of situation. Anyhow, warrior isn't that scary since he can't go aggressive with his taunt minions (or can he now?).
Oh by the way, good luck dealing with two of these buffed guys in the very early game. Irritating.

I played mech rogue long ago, I loved it a lot. For now, I need some times to refine my deckbuilding challenge. So I'll come back to this thread later because I need to improve my deckbuilding in Hearthstone. Also, I hope someone will use sensei mech, it's probably outdated but that mech wasn't that bad after all.

I missed Hearthstone days without Hero Cards.
I do love my Shaman getting awesome treatment from Hagatha the Witch back in the days, but I think that's because of bad DK Hero Card he had.
I think it's an awful implementation, trying something new for the game is kinda dangerous and can affect the game entirely, just like right now. I prefer the good old Hearthstone where you don't rely on Hero Cards to win for you.
