There are atleast more number of playable legendary cards than many expansion. Those you mention are not that strong or meta-defining, but they still playable at best once F2P player got the card. What I'm saying was an example of new player scenario, not for all kind of players.
Wow, this guy is critical of an aspect of a upcoming expansion???? Fucking trolls man, salty fucking trolls.
We need a meta thread for people who only want to jerk blizzard off for everything they do tbh.
I know right? He started mentioning about "flavor" because of no WoW characters and originals of Hearthstone... which I don't care at all. then changes the direction of the topic into the heist characters, which has no relation of flavor at all. Lol.
So for the part of the expansion ideas, the mechanics like reborn aren't that exciting, but I imagine they don't wanna run out of their ideas, as they might prepare for the best expansion around final part of the story between EVIL villains and heroes, or whatever it was all about.
As for people saying legendaries are terrible, the qualities of them are at least not bad compared to recent garbage and unplayable legendaries from many expansion. If the F2P got the worst one from the new expansion, it will still be playable, except Octosari, and that's it.
Other than F2P, the Hearthstone team does start to care more about many class cards than before, a lot of those new cards in power level are between "Broken" and "Fair card", they are that GOOD. I assure you they will get better on every of new cards release.
Rogue shouldn't have board clear, because the class itself should have weakness against enemy's wide board, every class has its own weakness even if they have variety deck archetypes. Vanish doesn't board clear, it just returns the enemy and stales the game.
No way to make easy board clear for Rogue, but you still have some fun new tools to try in the upcoming expansion like Shadow of Death and the new Quest.
Probably my favourite new quest as I always liked Weapon Warrior with Hobart Grapplehammer & Upgrade!. Also it is exciting that it will create a 3rd possible archetype for Warriors to choose from in the form of Tempo/Aggro (4th counting Taunt Warrior). You can start swinging as soon as turn 2 with Woodcutter's Axe if you run a Rush package to contest the board or Weapons Project.
I actually want to play all the classes for the very first time after I saw the expansion. So I'll try to collect many good cards for each class from this expansion and others, as well as legendaries. So.., I'll have to spend way alot into the game if I want to enjoy all the classes in both standard and wild format.
But here is one thing I'll craft: Call me crazy experimenter... because I'm going to try out Hack the System. it won't fit warrior a lot, but it grants the class new playstyle, and I love it.
It's gonna work great with additional weapons in wild format, I don't know what plan I'll make, but it's gonna be great getting those 4/3 minions on the board.
Will craft all cards, even a horrible meme card Desert Obelisk.
Best expansion ever since the hearthstone beta. This will be the beginning of the great era in Hearthstone, can't wait to see for another great expansion like this.
This animation is godlike. Probably the best of all animations in the game.
Too bad they decided to make a vanilla way on this minion. This minion could have really been something, guess it's only shines in certain decks like a big-minions deck.
I don't know... I like their current direction which is improving the powerlevel of the new expansion.
The thing is, I think they are just balancing the excitation of each expansion. Just imagine they made every awesome idea is in the expansion, but in the next expansion, they started to lose an idea for the next expansions.
For now, there are still some of the hidden neutral legendaries and let's hope they are not as bad as Griftah. I think reborn is a good start as a theme of expansion, but I believe they should add one more new mechanic. Such as my favorite one that they made the jade golem mechanic because it was entirely fresh and cool.
I'm sure they are making a great expansion after this one as it's a final part of the story.
EDIT: Not the hearthstone story, but the E.V.I.L and heroes story, I just heard this rumor.
Speaking of unplayable. This also reminds me of Arcane Golem, I hate this card a lot as it has no purpose to exist in the game, no tribe tag or any way to combo it, except getting this card from the evolve, but that's only it.
I think you are right, I think it may look good on paper with stats and reborn effect. But it's not worth to even touch this card, just like the Arcane Golem.
The card itself looks consistent for early game. Reminds me of Shadow Ascendant, except it's has a weak attack and slow to give an immediate stat buff. Although It's nice to have a sticky minion in the early game, I like it.

By the way, here is my silly but a true argument.

Big Warrior will love this:
Dimensional Ripper = 2 Sticky minions, only to deal with them is transformation effect or Plague of Death.
The Boom Reaver = Minion gain rush into a value trade with Divine Shield.

I'M GLAD I'M NOT ALONE IN THIS WORLD TO LOVE THIS QUEST!!!
IT'S NOT A BAD CARD WHEN ANYONE CAN THINK TWICE ABOUT IT.
1
Insane card when summoning it in early turn.
Best card for warrior class, because of two special ways that warrior class can do than other classes can:
1. Summoning two copies of this minion with Dimensional Ripper, or
2. Summon a single copy of it with Rush by The Boom Reaver. (Paladin can do that, but doesn't target another minion on board).
This card gives me enough hype to play it.

Oh, by the way, did you know that you CAN't silence the minion when they started to sleep?
Yeah... now try to bring out another argument for silence priest. Either way, +1/+1 bonus stat is not worth it at ALL.
1
Yes, every weak statted minion compared to Eerie Statue and Arcane Watcher is playable with getting silenced.
Not.
