Wondering since the shop updates so frequently now with rotating Hero Portrait and Cardbacks:

When exactly does it update each week?

For example, The current portrait is Dame Hazelbark and the Voljin Cardback. It says it's available through May 10th, 2021., so does that mean the shop will reset May 11th? Or is there something else to consider,  EU / US differences or something?

 This deck is so fun, finally a real Control Warrior deck again. Not pseudo control with Rush minions and stuff.

I thought about a similiar deck before, but didn't dare to craft all the expensive cards to go all in on this.

Oh, and on the Bulwark of Azzinoth discussion, I actually consider it mandatory, a must craft for this deck. More important than Barov, Kargath & Yogg. If you are tight on dust, Yogg isn't really needed (but fun!).

Anyway, I only picked the Demon Hunter skin because the default one is just awful. The other skins are alright, but inferior to what else is available (especially after paid skins are now available for gold/free). Not sure what I will pick in round two, not going to use them anyway. Maybe Uther.

A hand full of golden cards irritates me during gameplay, a lot. Especially when the artworks have a similiar color and light effects (ever played with a full golden Paladin? Yeah.)

I use golden cards only for weapons and hero-changing cards, so they match the golden portait & hero power. Or in certain combo decks, where the key cards are in gold to distinguish them from the support cards.

Guff is... sexy O_o

 It's mainly a sign that you have been around for a long time, this isn't exclusive to Hearthstone. Just think of them as Beta rewards when a new game releases or collector's edition perks. You were there 5 years ago,  the aesthetic is optional.

That said, I think I would rather make them release cardbacks that are similiar, but still different from the original in minor ways.

For example the Love is in the Air cardback could return in red, not pink, for the next Valentines Day

I can't see any paladin cards being nerfed, at least not until the meta settled for a month+.

It's been ages since Paladin had a really competitive deck, and it's an "honest" one to boot. No shenanigans, just pure value when it comes to stats.

I used the Legend Cardback literally 3-4 hours before I switched to something else. If you want bragging rights you have to go for the championship cardbacks or the really old ones you can't get anymore.

Blizzard will always make at least one pitiful attempt to get a card into the meta before it rotates out, so I wouldn't disenchant it if you play Shaman.

And I hate facing DHs cheating victories through broken cards. I also hate facing Casino Mages and specifically Reno / Puzzlebox. Losing a game due to massive RNG-swings sucks the fun out of the game for me.

What now?

Archmage Vargoth is a must in this deck, I replaced the low-performing Batterhead with him and reached Legend easily. It's a key card. He brings some early board presence, acts as a soft-taunt and has the potential for infinite value (4-5 Vargoths on the board + Renew refilling your hand with spells at the end of the turn).

Just reached Legend in 2 evenings with Res Priest. Didn't even try, just played for fun.
