With the addition of the Demon Hunter Prologue on April 2nd, will this give players access to play ranked with the demon hunter class prior to the AoO expansion or only in the single player campaign?
So is this adventure going to contain additional cards that can be played in standard format? I am understanding we can get a card, Zayle, Shadow Cloak, which gives me the impression there will be additional playable cards, similar to the purchase adventures in the past. Does anyone have any clarity on this? I guess we'll find out on the 9th if not.
With all the potential 1 drops in an Aggro opening week meta. I’d say give 1 Blast Wave a shot to generate some spells of of the pesky 1 health murlocs.
I have been a lot of mixed reviews on Rise of Shadows to this point and I have to say I think this expansion is going to a great start to year of the Dragon. I have seen a lot of underwhelming comments on a number of cards. In my opinion I think there are a lot of solid cards. Not game breaking by any means, but a solid foundation for decks as Mammoth rotates out.
I am still waiting for that 1 The Lich King type of card (which I am sure will be revealed in final reveal stream) But i think it'll be a nice change of pace to not see as many hero cards in Standard format. As I said, I think ROS will be a great set of building blocks on what is to come. Should I be as excited as I am for April 9th? What are your thoughts? I would like to hear reasons why I should/shouldn't be hyped for ROS. What are some cards you are most looking forward to playing with?
Personally I think Kalecgos and Khadgar are going to shine! (Mage fan obviously)
Not a bad combo, but the question becomes is it worth the deck space for an RNG spell. Would you rather add a better minion and a spell you want in your deck. My opinion, this card doesn't see play unless a tempo element mage becomes a thing.
Is it just me or do OTK decks feel like it takes the fun out of Hearthstone. I feel with these decks all you have to do is run through your deck as quickly as possible and live long enough to do so. With cards like Branching Paths and Time Out! that make it much easier to do so. Maybe I am just being salty because I keep losing to them, but game filled with RNG and meaningful cards feels much more gratifying win or lose than playing against an OTK deck.
Also, I probably should've put this in the MEGASalty thread, but I didn't notice that until after I posted this so.. lol
I am working on a Dragon/Beast Hunter Hybrid deck. I have alot of big minions in there, so surviving the early is a bit tricky, but once you can get into the mid to late, things really start to come together.
So here's the three cards I'd recommend for a nice late game finisher; Emeriss, King Krush, and Alexstrasza
The goal is to turn to deathstalker rexxar at the turn, then work on getting those three pieces in hand. Drop Emeriss, followed up by the next turn with Alexstrasza to take your opponent down to 15, follow that up with a 16/16 King Krush. I haven't really brought this deck onto ladder as I think the fast paced decks will be too much to handle in the early game, but in quick play, landing that combo is rather satisfying.

This may be my favorite card Hearthstone has printed. Think of all the elemental potential with Mage and Shaman.
You could potentially get this out with divine shield and windfury on turn 2 in a mage deck.
I can't think of a deck this card wouldn't fit. This may end up played more than Zilliax

When will this update take place? Have they given any indication as to a date?

Great article! Can’t wait to see how these statistics compare to the upcoming meta

is that confirmed? Hero’s are one of my favorite aspects of the game. And when they are free, they’re even better!

I agree, there could be a place for one of those decks

I feel like a card like this can really help out Odd Hunter
