The effect is active while this card is on the board; thus spells like
Bloodfury Potion
,
Sacrificial Pact
,
Demonfire
ecc... are able to target your own beasts. Also minions like
Crystalweaver
or
Mal'Ganis
work in the same way, buffing also your beast.
Felboar
count both as a beast and a demon, thanks to its effect; as soon as it leaves the board, non-persistent effect (like
Mal'Ganis
one) disappear.
Thanks all for the votes and the feedbacks! Didn't think I could win with my Trap Room considering all the good cards in the final poll :) It's been a while since I submitted my first card, so I'm glad I finally made It!
@Sinti (Sorry cannot quote from the phone): you are totally right, didn't know what essere I thinking while I was writing 'Quest' in the tribe area! Nice mistake there x)
I was planning to make this a neutral minion, but then I realized that would be too annoying paired with some classes' mechanics (i.e. Rogue with Cheat Death, Paladin with Desperate Stand and Getaway Kodo, Priest with Resurrect and so on). Is it busted? Does Mage needs another way to Counter spells? Is it too weak? Any feedback is much appreciated!
I absolutely love the flavor of Christmas Treant, but the effect is so busted :D
First of all: yeeey made it to the finals. Secondly. I like it too, but 8 mana for a 1/1? I voted for Krampus, which should have been a legend imo not an epic.
In the absolute worst case scenario, its technically a 3 mana for a 1/1, if u get 5x 1-cost secret ... yeah, that is not gonna happen. So the card is pretty OP, for the value it provides. U dont even have to have said secrets in the deck :)
Hi guys, thanks for the feedback about the card! Honestly I was inspired by flavor while making the card, and I thought about our not really missed Mysterious Challanger trying to balance the cost. I also thought about the worst-case-scenario in terms of mana (5 paladin secrets) and the best (5 mage secrets), and then I figured out there are some secrets you don't really want or you don't realle make any use for (instead of MC which pull secrets you actually put into your deck, and let you make better draw at that point of the game).
I totally missed the Recombobulator, but just because as a f2p I disenchanted all the wild cards and I don't play Wild so often, but i think this is a really good point. The fact is, you can just put this card in evolve shaman and get the same effect even if Christmas Treant was 9 mana, and at 10 mana the card would be too high costed for a random effect to me.
In the end, I just wanted to make a card that may be fun to play, with a little of Christmas flacor, even if it does not fit in any deck.
I honestly like Secret Present and Krampus, that maybe should be a Legendary anyway.
