Try playing Wild. I won so many games I otherwise would loose horribly. Last night I stole Kingsbane with 8 attack and opponent insta conceded. I can beat quest Mage if they don't play the quest reward same turn or just take their giants. You always keep it against druid and just waste their innervates / blooms. Big Shamans? Well you win this matchup anyway, but this helps as well.
It has the dark side as well, sometimes you just have to sacrifice some good cards to just remove their win condition or slow them down. Some will concede anyway just when you play the card :D
Overall one of the coolest cards Priest ever got. It requires perfect timing to perform the best, but it is so nice. I got it golden and I'm keeping it even with this nerf.
I ended up around legend 777 in EU Wild and also got x11 stars. I had overall winrate between 65% - 70% (I was only playing Razakus priest whole season). I played only around 70 games.
My point is that match making depends on which deck you are playing. If you switch to different deck you'll play against different matchups. This should be random, but isn't. I dont care if I'm matched against ppl with better mmr. I'm just pissed when I play certain deck I see different opponents then when I switch to different deck. This is not something new. I believe this system is there for quite some time.
enoX_36 - yeah greater healing potion is a good heal. But like other guys said - you can put basically whatever you want and then optimize. Core cards will always be the same (like 20 cards) and the rest can be changed depending on matchups or personal preference.
I mean for me it is fun and I reached top1000 legend on EU last season with it and this season I'm currently at D2 (I only played this deck).
About that legendaries - emperor and loatheb are not necessary imho and I dont run them in my list.
Kazakus is nice to have, you can get some polymorf effect, clears and draw from him. Instead you can run like kabal courier, zola, some other value card.
Thalnos is great. Against aggro he is amazing with spirit lash, can pump breath of infinite to 3 damage and he is a draw as well. I also run Azure drake, which is kinda like thalnos, but for later (and helps in dragon package). I think if you dont run thalnos you need additional healing, because he is amazing against PW and DH.
In current meta you need to accept you'll never beat quest mage, you'll loose a lot against secret mage and mecha cthun will also destroy you, unless you pull combo piece with rat. Gluttonous ooze is a must have. Psychic scream as well.
I don't believe this deck is that easy to pivot and I've played it a lot in the past and now after unnerf.

Actually in my case UI was correct and I was nicely surprised to receive new packs and not the old ones :D

Yeah match making can't be rigged. It is completely random and based on your MMR. Kappa

Well it depends if you're playing standard or wild and in which region. I saw something about top 1500 for standard and top 250-300 wild
