Dragoon2k posted a message on Multiple New Rogue/Priest Cards RevealedPosted in: NewsNot a fan that they are releasing more cards to steal minions from your opponent, I find both Rogue and Priest quite annoying to play against as it is they don't need more annoying stuff.

nurimono posted a message on Duels Runs Coming to an End - Blizzard Removing the Duels Game Mode In AprilPosted in: NewsI can't believe they did that. Duels is the only mode that I play for pure fun. I craft cards and buy legendary bundles mostly because I wanna try more duels classes/decks. TBH for ladder I spend less, usually one or two deck can get me to at least diamond 5 every season.

Dunscot posted a message on Duels Runs Coming to an End - Blizzard Removing the Duels Game Mode In AprilPosted in: NewsAs we think about the future of Hearthstone...
Kind of disheartening that "the future of Hearthstone" has repeatedly been the preamble for layoffs, discontinuing modes, cutting content and making the game even more of the same.
"Traditional Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, and more" - not even feeling like mentioning Twist (or is that traditional?), or Tavern Brawl, or Arena, or solo content. Frankly, is there anything in the "more" besides monetization efforts?
I'm not a Doomsayer. I have no immediate plans to see myself and all my friends (read: an empty board) out unless ActiBlizzSoft plays something awesome that renders me speechless and makes me stick around for another turn. I still enjoy Battlegrounds (when it is enjoyable), I still play Standard every now and then. I still look forward to new expansions. But I start to wonder how much longer the lights stay on; if we are about to see Hearthstone 2, or the servers shutting down within a year or two.

This one hurts.
Every damn time I like a card or mode it gets nerfed or canceled.
I'm sad duels never took off, it was a much more satisfying mode than standard IMHO.
I can't imagine it takes more than one employee to maintain. I hope they reconsider.

Greed posted a message on Duels Runs Coming to an End - Blizzard Removing the Duels Game Mode In AprilPosted in: NewsAs if they were working on it lmao. They just switch expansions once in a while like arena and change a couple class treasures and that was about it. They coulda just left it untouched for a year and probably 90% of people wouldn't even notice lol

I'm more than a ^&*^%& wallet, Blizzard. Loyalty needs to go both ways to be sustainable.

Paladin is actually in a decent spot right now, and if they get a libram with draw, I predict they'll be quite strong next expansion. It would be nice to Paladin get some more lategame tools, but they're actually not to bad right now.

And what evidence do you have to prove that the matchmaking sets you up against a counter when you're winning to much. Oh, wait, you have absolutley no evidence beyond your feelings. If you want to be taken seriously record data, actually analyze what's going on and recording it, so you have some legs to stand on. You can't state something as a fact without having evidence to back it up.

I'd agree to a fault. I think this is true in arena, but in Standard I wouldn't say RNG is killing the game. It's true lackeys are annoying and probably should never ever be printed again in the future (or anything remotley similar), but there still is enough counterplay that I think it's borderline acceptable.

Yah that's the main purpose. It's really, really good against druid, because they aren't really playing any minions. Clouding their hand is really useful to force mills/prevent big draw play.s Against Jade you pretty much lock out there win condition by just spamming librams. It's also nice against Priest as well, and it's fairly formidable once you stick some buffs on it.

Yah I agree. It's kind of a fuck fest right now. Just a lot of non-interactive, extremely busted interactions and cards, that amount to an experience that feels like nothing you do really matters. The speed and survivability of combo decks is actually ridiculous. Control pretty much has no place in the meta, which is a shame. Speaking of Libram Paladin, here's the deck I've been using and I think you'd like it: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1346663-libram-paladin-17-2-edition.

Bloodboil Brute was pretty insane.

Can't go face, isn't an elemental, and is a one of, but generally yah it's better.

It's better by a wide margin. Being able to tutor with crystology, curve into Hand of Adal, and cost 1 less (allowing cheaper discounts), and the fact that it cost 1 mana in a deck that really has no good 1 drops, this change is huge.

We could have not gotten a patch at all dude.

They've never locked QoL improvements behind a paywall.
