What many people defending MCT don't seem to understand is that this is not necessarily about how balanced the card is, it's about it being one of the most frustrating cards to lose to. What if you have no choice but to play a fourth minion because you're afraid to mill yourself or you have to push for lethal? Sometimes you just have to play into MCT and that makes it feel even worse to lose to. the card has one of the most swingy rng effects in the game. If the MCT takes a big minion it can often mean board swings of over 15 stats in total for only three mana. A three mana neutral rare should never be able to do something like that by itself. It can also just take a 1/1 ofcourse and that results in the player playing the card to feel bad. So like the OP said, it always results in one player being frustrated. How can that be a good thing for the game?

Billie_Lurk posted a message on MC tech - the problem no one sees?Posted in: Card DiscussionI'm pretty sure anyone who plays Hearthstone more than their toilet break on a daily basis knows MCT is an annoying card that has been around for way too long. Not sure why people itt are so defensive about it honestly. It's one of the worst offenders when it comes to rng game state swings. I mean realistically, it's a three mana mind control with the tempo of a three mana body. It's often insane value alone and when it's paired with a card like Spreading Plague, it's one of the most disgusting cards in the game. It should be a priest class card. There is no excuse for it's existence to remain unrivaled and always be the go to answer in metas that go wide.
Why is this community so behind the idea of MCT needing to exist as tech for wide boards forever, but we don't even have any standard neutral hand disruption. I'm not allowed to interact with my opponents greedy Malygos deck while playing deathrattle pally, but thank god he's allowed to punish me for establishing a board while he spends his turns advancing his plan, drawing and gaining armor.
You guys are idiots.
There is no good excuse for MCT remaining untouched or in standard forever, much like every other "evergreen" card. Eventually Blizzard is going to have to rotate all this crap, less they keep bleeding players. Adding new cards can only do so much when over 40% of the meta are cards that have been in standard since beta.

EkyeHS posted a message on Egg Hunter & ParasitesPosted in: General DiscussionGood morning folks --
I very much appreciate your time and commitment into reading this post. I know the internet can be a haven for toxicity, and as such, I will do my best to avoid it here. The following will likely antagonize, and frustrate the hell out of some, but we only have one life and it's important to make each step count. During these steps and climbs to Legend, I can honestly say the Egg Hunter community is the worst I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. I can't think of a single parallel in life that drags the line of "I WANT FREE THINGS!" more than Egg Hunter. It's a deplorable deck piloted by, what I can only summarize, as people with psychotic tendencies. I can't imagine actually justifying playing a list like this and not wanting to off myself at night, but that aside, let's stick to productive approaches.
Your win rate IS NOT an excuse to worsen the Meta. Your win rate IS NOT an excuse to be a parasite in the Meta. Your win rate IS NOT a reason to hand people playing 3282394723947234x better Hearthstone losses, simply because they chose the more ethical list. Your win rate IS NOT worth any of that. At some point, you have a personal responsibility to tell Blizzard, "enough is enough" and not succumb to the endless stupidity that is the runaway draws this deck can have. Are you going to offer scotch and a handgun to your opponent every time you nut draw them? Are you going to smash that emote button like you actually had to think during the match? Are you going to be mouthy when they friend you afterward trying to understand what on earth could possibly make you elect to play this way? Want to know why they do that? You have the psychology of a criminal and justify shit behaviors just the same.
Let's talk about a purge plan. How much better would society as a whole be, if none of these people were around anymore. I'm not insisting we should incite these types of drastic changes, I'm simply putting the rhetoric out there. If you, Egg Hunter, weren't around, exactly what part of society would be worse? I can name at least 10 places we would immediately improve, but I can't think of a single negative impact of you not being here anymore. Only positive. What do you think this says about you as a whole? I've been brainstorming for hours trying to figure out exactly what you bring to society on a positive level. It's just escaping me.
/end rant. Egg Hunter is like calling plagiarism a skill game.

Wingdude22 posted a message on Hearthstone should change to 20 maximum manaPosted in: General DiscussionThis really sounds like a bad idea.
Even aggro mirror matches would be twice as long.. Every midrange mirror would take half an hour. And like others said it just wouldn’t make much sense.

kizlyar posted a message on Hearthstone should change to 20 maximum manaPosted in: General DiscussionOP - It's a bad idea. By default, everything would become even-costed and then pretty much every card in the game would then require rebalancing to different costs around your stupid new mana idea. No game play impact? Are you on crack? A bad idea is a bad idea and this is the definition of a bad idea.

Why would anyone ever concede just by seeing their opponents class? First of all it could be any archetype, and there’s no way that any deck from any class has even close to a 100% winrate against every archetype that a class has. Sure, my deck is bad against decks like quest rogue, but I still win a few, and without those stars, I wouldn’t be at my current rank. I can’t tell if you’re trolling or not because there’s so many reasons why this post is retarded. Please say you’re trolling.

Bro thank you for replying with this, that’s exactly what I’ve been saying. If you think spreading plague is OP then either you’re playing a brain dead deck like zoolock or odd rogue, or you just don’t know how to play around stuff. I know it’s an unpopular opinion but coming from a Druid player for years now, most of the time spreading plague is a dead card, unless I’m facing someone who plays the game as if they don’t know that spreading plague is a card

I just want to correct you, that you don’t go back to the bottom of the ladder anymore, you only go down 4 ranks, and once you’ve made it to rank 5, 10, 15, or 20, you can’t go below until the season resets.

I feel like when I played this game a couple of years ago, this forum had so many new threads and discussions each day. Now the same threads can be on the front page for days, and I feel like less people come here. Is hearthstone just becoming less popular? Is this just me?

I literally linked two decks on the post, one for big and one for taunt, and they are almost identical. If you really can’t help yourself from being an asshole, you shouldn’t come on these forums

Literally 2 different cards. Everyone is saying that druid has so many viable archetypes, which is does, but taunt and big druid are literally the same deck. Someone tell me why they’re called different names, as the same archetype can sometimes have 5 different cards than a different deck of the same archetype, let alone 2.

So I’m playing togwaggle druid, minding my business, until I queue into a game with a golden hunter. I know it’s going to be a tough match if it’s Deathrattle Hunter. Turn 1. I pass. The hunter isn’t doing anything and I assume he is afk. But very last second, he ends his turn. I still assumed that he had been afk and had returned. Turn 2. Same thing happens, except last second, he plays a secret. This happens for the next 15 - 20 or so turns, until he finally concedes due to himself making terrible plays.
I assumed that this guy had lost like 20 games in a row and is super salty and hates druids. I add him as a friend, and I wanted to say “you’re a fucking cunt” but I simply said “why did you rope every turn?” He responds with “I was laughing at you.” I said “But.. I won” and then he starts saying stupid shit like “still crying?”, “need more tissues?”, and “don’t cry bby its ok”
Then he gives me a spectator invite and I watch him face a zoolock. There was no roping at all. The difference is that the hunter had the lead from the start and had a good mulligan.
Clearly there needs to be a solution to this, as this guy had over 500 hunter wins as he was gold, so I imagine he has done this more than once, probably every time he thinks he will lose. This is selfish and immature and a huge waste of time. There has to be a way to deal with this. I think a solution could be to make it so you only have 15 seconds on turn 1, 20 on turn 2, 25 on turn 3, and so on. Maybe it could increase in intervals of 10 seconds instead of 5, I’m not sure. I understand people need a lot of time to think, but there is never much or any thinking on turn 1. This would save so much time and roping would be harder to do.
Edit: I woke up the next morning and I realized that this guy was my 1000th druid win. So thank you to whoever this guy is.
Edit #2: I was on mobile, if I was on my PC I obviously would alt tab and watch a video, but all I had was my phone so I couldn’t do much. It was also late at night so watching TV or something wasn’t an option as I would wake the house.
Edit #3: I see a lot of people complaining about druid. While I do see how players could be tired of it and think that it’s uninteractive (which it really can be and usually is), I still find druid to be very fun to play. I don’t have many cards and the only viable decks I can play are druid, as they are all I have. I crafted the majority of these cards a while ago, before people were tired of Druid. I actually crafted these cards at one of Druid’s weakest metas. I stopped playing hearthstone for about a year, and when I came back I crafted a few cards to make the most recent druid decks. Obviously I didn’t know and don’t care about people being mad at druid, as it’s my favorite class and it’s all I have. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.
