Volcanic Potion. The overkill effect is not worth the additional 2 mana. Volcanic potion didn't even see play
I think Volcanic potion was played a lot actually. May the problem was that mage itself was not played a lot during its time.

gozerh posted a message on Is it me or do other people feel that Rastakhan's Rumble is underwhelming for a 3rd set?Posted in: General DiscussionIf you compare it to KAC reveals one year ago, you can see that it was really similiar. KAC seemed really underwhelming for a 3rd set last year, but was in fact really powerfull. A lot of cards were underestimated like Voidlord. I actually have a way better feeling about Rastakhans's Rumble than I had about KAC.
And about Rag: This card has been really iconic in Hearthstone and is one of the favorite cards for a lot of players. Just take me for example. Never played WoW, but I love Rag. And they are allways reprinting stuff in a different ways. Just like the mage spell which is like Coldlight Oracle. But they allways add conditions or make it only available for a certain class, which seems reasonable, because this mechanic could be too strong if left alone or it was available for every class.

Liam3Bucks posted a message on Can we do something about infinite zero cost fireballs now?Posted in: General DiscussionPeople assume that since they have more health, they must be in a winning position. That is not how this game works.
It's like how new players sometimes Coin + Steady Shot on turn 1. "HA! I'm at 30 while you're at 28. I must be winning!" Extreme example, but you get the point.

Is that a meta-evaluation of your own comment? :P

Well hopefully they make use of the Mana Wyrm nerf to actually make some of those powerful low-cost Mage spells they are talking about.

Oh, while we are being sarcastic: I totally agree - hero portraits are a game changing aspect and one of the fundamental pillars of Hearthstone that basically decide victory or defeat merely by looking at them. Potentially adding a hero to a card bundle as additional reward is basically a crime against humanity, if you think about it. They are part of the basic human needs: food, drink, oxygen, sleep, shelter and hero portraits.
I know what they are going to say, and my answer is "What does 'optional' even mean?". We NEED to have every hero portrait and we need them all for free.
most sincerely,
your entitled "customer" (kidding, we don't pay)

I like how the thread title and corresponding text actually have very little (if anything) to do with each other, except for being some form of complaint about control players in combination with just the subtlest hint of "I have never done this, I am different than all those control players whose thoughts and intentions I magically understand and thus, maybe it is me who is in fact superior". Well played, sir or madam - clickbait succeeded.^^
Now that I got that little potshot off my chest, let's actually have a serious answer to this - I apologize in advance. xD
Strangely enough, I feel like I've encountered more threads from people complaining about control players complaining, than actual threads by control players ... if that makes sense. Then again, this is just my subjective perception, just like everything our dear OP has written. Which leads me to suggest you heed your own advice and "accept it and move on". ;)

I generally applaud people's courage to publicly associate themselves with the probably ugliest card back in Hearthstone, but other than that ... I don't really care at all. xD

"locking a hero portrait behind an $80 preorder", huh ...
That reminds me of ruthless companies like McDonalds, which act in a similar manner when locking toys behind food purchases and on top of that they are evil enough to call it "happy meal". Is there no limit to their malevolence? ... Things are not looking good at all for the world. :O

Since the person he describes is pretty much the opposite of Brian Kibler, chances are he might be talking about a different one. I mean, there are other people with that last name.^^

I prefer playing Big Spell Mage without the Bright-Eyed Scouts. Been doing pretty decent with it too.
