posted a message on An Idea for a card that gives other cards Alternate Utility

You really need to change the wording of your card.  How about " When played, your secrets deal 2 damage instead of being put into the battlefield."  I see no need for mana reduction as you are just making balance harder to achieve.  Mage, hunter, and rogue have enough cheap face damage to have synergy with this.  'When played' works around summoning mechanics such as Mysterious Challenger.  Also the phrase 'but instead' is a convoluted way of saying 'and'.  You won't find those 2 words together on any one card in the game.

posted a message on Dust golden soularium?

No. I would not dust it.  It has been a powerful enough card already and has to survive 4 more sets of aggro minions without a nerf before rotating into wild.  If you dust it today you get 1600 dust.  If it gets nerfed, it is worth 3200 dust. You will be kicking yourself if this happens.  Generally swapping a golden legendary for a regular one isn't worth it IMO.  Dusting it for 4 epics might be worth it for you, but I would not go for something in the Classic set like blood knight.  You will eventually open those naturally from Tavern Brawl packs.  My advice to you is, if you really want Genn, then find another method to get it.

posted a message on Does Blizz actually have a design philosophy for the game?

I do hope we get a 'Core' set it the beginning of next year.  I think it is ironic that we have come to a point where the 2 exodia conditions (quest mage and 4 horseman paladin) are considered to be fair to the point of seeing little to no play anymore.  Meanwhile, OTK is running rampant with more variations than I can ever remember and with all the tutoring available in Standard.  When quest mage was released, I hated it because of how many creative decks would be DOA because of its existence (see also: Quest Rogue before nerfs).  I could never have imagined the state of the game 1 year later where 3-6 card combos are destroying everything but aggro!

posted a message on Giggling Inventor Is The New Sludge Belcher?
    Quote from AbusingKel >>

Good comparison. I'd say it's a better card than Belcher in any build. It's better defensively b/c the shields and extra bodies do much better vs. the swarms in the meta. It gives nice magnetic targets, too.

It's better offensively since the extra bodies make for stickier minions and better buff chances. It's better vs. Mage secrets since the 2/1 is the trigger. It's certainly better for bloodlust/roar type decks.

Inventor seems only a little better.  I think it is close to 50/50.  Giggling Inventor seems weaker to AOE spells like Fan of Knives and tech cards like Mossy Horror and Blood Knight.  Sludge Belcher's 5 health can still be awkward to deal with even today.  I also hope you meant " any standard build" otherwise, N'zoth would like to have a word with you!  By the way is anyone else running Blood Knight?

posted a message on Are Bunnies the new Jades?

Bunnies seem to grow/scale faster than jades.  Rogue doesn't have the defensive tools druid that does though.  Bunnies will be less consistent in the long term.

I really like the egg, and the mind games it creates!  You can use it to bait out silences.  For example,  You play egg.  Your opponent silences with spellbreaker.  You just magnetize it with Zilliax and trade with the spellbreaker.  You now have a 3/7 with taunt and lifesteal.  If they don't silence it you can use Blessing of Kings on it and trade or go face.

The mulligan should be changed for:

1- If you mulligan a card will become impossible get the another copy of the card.

2- Will be impossible to any card you mulligan away be your first draw.

Oh, I'm sure Blizzard already has a mock legendary with a similar 'Start of Game' effect on it.  They won't give it to you for free, but they will sure be glad to sell it to you!

I think the better question to ask is " Which cards are you trying to avoid"?  I certainly do not want to open Harbinger Celestia or Dr. Morrigan.  I could also do without Zerek, Master Cloner, Stargazer LunaMecha'thun, and Subject 9 until later in the expansion.  The epics are about 50/50 and very hit or miss depending on what you want.  Epics are the real issue because of no duplicate rules.  Hope everyone gets most of what they want!

posted a message on Mecha Freeze Mage

Well, good luck with your meme.  I think Celestial Emissary won't do much.  The only damage dealing spells in your deck are Blizzard x2, Frostbolt x2, and possibly a Flame Geyser.  Cut the Emissary and just put in Sorcerer's Apprentice which will give you value on all your spells and help you keep your hand size low with Alluneth and help you get rid of your hand faster in the end game.

I would definitely cut Mana Bind for another Ice Barrier.  The reason being is that there may still be some spells in the standard ( not entirely sure) that are deemed 'uncastable' if the situation doesn't allow for it.  For example, I think Shatter has to have a target to cast on or it is stuck in your hand forever.  That isn't helpful to your C'thun!

posted a message on Looks like Hearthstone is officially done with Warcraft

I have mixed feelings on this one.  On one hand I want more characters from the entire warcraft lore including the novels.  On the other hand when I see terrible legendaries such as Illidan Stormrage, Rhonin, and Varian Wrynn not living up to their name as opposed to say Sylvannas; I just want to yell STOP!!

posted a message on Pity Timer Reset?

I have experienced this as well since the launch of KOTFT.  I always reset all my pity timers going into a new expansion.  I only have my own experience to go by though and no real proof that it exists.  My results have been consistent except for Witchwood ( I was really tired on launch day and lost focus of my gameplan) and on Knights. I forgot to open packs from classic.  I tried to do it 1 week later and failed.  My results are  that I have gotten a legendary in the first 10 of each pack so long I only open 1 set at a time till I get the legendary and then move to a different set.
