....Sure, why not.
Priests? More like warlocks.
You would be surprised how much more warlocks heal during one game. -

Sherman1986 posted a message on Are you excited for the expansion?Posted in: General DiscussionAt first I wasn't. There weren't really any deck themes that looked fun. That changed with these theorycraft streams, though. I've watched Regis and Zeddy and token druid, totem shaman, imp warlock and volatile skeleton mage all look much more fun than I thought they would.
Why waste time with the lower Echelon of players like Regis and Zeddy ?
If you watched Thijs or Trump, you'd know how dumb Kael'thas Druid will be, up until the inevitable Emergency nerf.I don't watch any of those streamers (in fact, I don't watch any streamer at all), but different people have different tastes. Crazy, right?
Deal with it. :)

Control meta is back.
Feels good to hear that wild is mostly full of control meta.
While I've wanted this so bad in standard pirate warrior can still hit a turn 6 with coin lethal on 40 hp and DH can do it in 7.
Even against heals and armor up.
But it does feel better overall. No we just need to lose somenof the mana cheat casino decks and we may have a playable meta.

And today's most pointless salt thread award goes to...

Wooooah, so many Mercenaries changes! The three or so people who play it will be so happy!

Been climbing on Standard with a similar deck that instead focuses on ramping to 8 as soon as possible and tutoring Kazakusan out with Capture Coldtooth Mine, would say that maybe tweaking your higher curve for something similar might work better even in Wild tbh...

First impression? Quest Warrior and Warlock and Handbuff Pally still dominate the meta, and weirdly enough the simplest way to defeat them seems to be OTK decks...
Been having a blast with Bol'nar OTK Freeze Shaman, at least...

I can already see this becoming one of the most hated cards of this year ngl...

Honestly, this may be personal bias, but I personally believe Quests to be the worst of the "unique" expansion mechanics we've gotten so far. They're way too restrictive and feel like they need to be borderline broken to even be worth running in most cases, resulting in games that get stale both from a deck variety perspective and a general lack of uninteractivity between the two players.
Like, I know this view may be extreme, but I genuinely believe quest decks generally need to be kept at an "underwhelming" power level for other decks to exist, else the game just turns into a solitaire with the only two types of decks able to play being either quest decks or decks that directly counter said strategies, either through hyper aggression or quick value ( like the current handbuff pally and other decks using Battlegrounds Battlemaster...

Welp, they only made warlock's aggro matchups worse, it still obliterates control... guess that's another month of Battlegrounds for me...

Honestly, at this point I don't even care about the multitude of "salty much" comments this post will get, this is just a truth everyone knows at this point, which is honestly surprising considering how brief the card has been in the game for.
So, lets address the issue already: Ignite is extremely oppressive in its current form and pretty much shields Quest Mage from the literal only weakness the archetype truly has besides a few fringe hyperaggro decks that lose to everything besides it, while ALSO managing to, alongside Quest Warlock, pretty much just shut down any other possible control-oriented archetype. It should not have been given the option to go face and that's just a fact.
Now, the question I propose in this thread is simple: do you think this expansion will end up in another quick change like how Shudderwock received indirect nerfs back in Witchwood over being uninteractive, or will Blizzard let it slide due to how it is quite literally only a control killer and nothing else?

I just want to be able to play minions again ffs...

Poison Rogue is definitely the way to go in killing Quest Mage, turns out its a pretty well favored deck against a LOT of the meta right now...
