Why wouldn't you put Jaraxxus in this deck since Bloodreaver is 10 mana?

As far as I can see, he never asked for rewards, only goals. I fully agree with this. Even the goals like dragons aren't boring because you only need 3, and why wouldn't I try to play a dragon package in my Thief Rogue deck. It not only lets us play the decks we like, but it can even promote deckbuilding to some degree.

Personally I run 1 copy of Pickpocket, it's just too tricky of a card. You can only use it when you're ahead on the board, and even then usually 2 or 3 times, I often use it only once too. I run Face Collector in my deck too, but so far he's nothing special, SI:7 agent is a better pick IMO.

I'm very interested in trying out this type of deck, seems really interesting. What about adding 1 or 2 Razorpetal Lashers? And is there anything that could be cut from the deck to make room for them?

Right now, Kingsbane isn't what it used to be. IMO it's in the same place as Shudderwock. It's good, but only vs. slow decks and it is far less powerful than it was in the mill days. You seem really unlucky with choosing legendaries for climbing. Craft Kingsbane only after you have all of the other legendaries you need and for fun. I'm holding onto a hope that Kingsbane will become really good again with the next expansion.

I've been wondering ever since I made a Thief deck, how good would Obsidian Shard be in this deck? It's 3/3 and you'd often play it for 3 or less mana, and you don't need 2x deadly poison, which I didn't much use with Spectral Cutlass, but as a situational removal with hero power dagger. So it frees up space for better cards.

Something along the lines of this. I'm often changing between defensive and offensive, but that is the gist of it.

Who said anything about deserving a refund or not? Blizzard doesn't owe us anything. I'm simply comparing Yogg and Tess, which clearly you didn't understand, so let me make it as simple as I can.

The two cards are very similar, but not identical. With Yogg if you cast 20 spells in a game and play him, he will play 20 random spells with random targets. Because of that there is a fairly high chance of him getting silenced, destroyed, hexed, polymorphed etc. That is why when they changed how he works, we got a full refund.

The current change with Tess and the others is more along the lines of Blizzard getting a grip on themselves and cleaning up the mechanics in order for them to be more consistent in the future. More to the point, the limit part flat out isn't a nerf. The only possible way you're gonna play more than 30 cards is with a friend and with a full steal deck that isn't viable vs beginner innkeeper decks let alone another player's.

The silence, kill, removal part isn't exactly the same because with Yogg, you can't control what he does. Tess replays everything you played during the game. So if you play a bunch of removal, silences, hexes etc. that can target your minions, you can expect that Tess will probably be hit. But you can control what she does. So if you hold on to your removal or run Lillian Voss, you can prevent Tess from killing/silencing/hexing herself. So, I don't thing Blizzard should give us a refund just for making a card require more brains to use.

Of course you may not agree, and that's the beauty of having an opinion, but your reply is basically saying "Nuh-uh" without providing a single counterpoint or argument, and you accuse me of making a weak point just because you don't agree.

This isn't a nerf for Tess really. Most of the votes for yes are probably from people that don't play Thief Rogue, but have Tess in their collection. Limiting the card to 30 does nothing because you'll be lucky to get 7 or 8 cards from your opponent class. You usually get 4 or 5. You will also try to use cards that cannot affect your minions or cards like Death Coil that heal you or damage opponents. Most of the time you'll play minions.

The win condition for my thief deck doesn't rely only on Tess. It would suck if she got silenced or polymorphed, yes, but it wouldn't be an automatic loss.

Yogg cast random spells for every spell you cast in a game. So it had a pretty decent chance of casting silence, polymorph or killing itself. With Tess it's a much lower chance of getting cards with those effects in the first place, and even if you do you can choose not to use them until you play Tess. So, no it isn't exactly the same treatment as Yogg.

posted a message on Pity timers need to change

I wouldn't say the 40 packs pity timer needs to change itself, but I would change one thing, although this may already be in effect, I'm not sure. If it is, ignore this.

I would gradually increase the chance to get a legendary the more packs you open. For example 5% is on the first pack but like 70% on 30. Just slowly increase the chance so that you will most likely get a legendary between 20 and 30, but may sometime go for the 40.

posted a message on Who purposely does not play Tier 1 decks? Why?

Honestly I just don't find most tier 1 decks to be fun to play. I mostly don't like decks that feature the same type of play no matter who you're playing against. Cubelock is 1 such deck. You play Lackey > Dark Pact into Doomguard or Void Lord every single game. I even made Aggro Mage when it was T1 and after 4-5 games with it I dusted the entire Mage class out of disgust for that playstyle. That's when I stopped completely copying a deck just because it's T1.

Other than that I enjoy making my own deck. If that archetype ends up as T1 all the better. Occasionally I'll check Hearthpwn if a deck like that exists and to see alternatives/improvements. When K&C released I actually had the idea to make a Spiteful Priest when I saw Summoner revealed, and later refined it as other people made their own versions. Besides, when you make your own deck, you know exactly why each card is in there and what to do with them, so you'll be able to pilot your deck more effectively than someone who copies a deck.

After all, HS is a game, not a job, so why not experiment and have fun.

posted a message on Quest Warrior

Well, a friend of mine plays Warrior almost exclusively, and he found that control Baku Warrior is slightly better than Baku quest and he is close to legend with it right now, but non-Baku Quest or Control suffer in this meta without Tank Up. It's up to you really, but Baku Warrior, either control or quest, is better than their standard counterparts.

posted a message on Is it just me, or is the power level of this set cranked to 11?

What he said. This is the first expansion of the new year, while 3 expansions are rotating out. By the next expansion it should be balanced out (hopefully). Also keep in mind that they only just released Witchwood, so many people are experimenting with decks. Before long netdeckers will return to playing Face Hunter, Dudeadin (which, admittedly, I also like) and Cubelock.

Not a bad deck, similar to some of the others, just one thing to point out, you never ever want to use Dark Conviction along with Lynessa Sunsorrow since it will almost certainly screw you over by being cast after some of the others or in the worst case scenario be cast at the end. Better to swap with Blessing of Might or something like that.

posted a message on Dragon Paladin

Well, Rebuke can be an amazing card if you have a good board and prevent your opponent from playing Psychic Scream or Brawl or Twisting Nether or to prevent a combo that would otherwise clear your board.

More weapons could be good, but i wouldn't put two Mauls, but one Truesilver Champion or since this is a dragon deck, put Ebon Dragonsmith and one more Vinecleaver or even Silver Sword.

I would definitely cut Leeroy for something more relevant to this type of deck, like Level Up! or Drygulch Jailor.

The problem is that this deck is trying to be a dragon and a dude deck. I don't think Dragon Paladin has good support yet, maybe with the next expansion, and there are cards missing from this deck that would make it a good dude deck.
