Soulcaster is almost always played on either Reno or Kazakus.

What this guy said. Pyroblast ends up being just a large removal in Reno Mage. I'd rather use Inkmaster for Flamestrike, Firelands Portal, or Kazakus spell.

I made the swap but the reason why i didn't have AI in my original list is because this deck never seems to run out of cards. You have 7 cards that give you cards plus two cards that draw in Bloodmage and Azure Drake. Flamewaker is an early threat. Even if you don't get a lot of use out of it, your opponent feels the need to waste a swipe or hard removal asap on it.

posted a message on Which card is going to see more play with this expansion?

Azure Drake is already one of the most played cards so I think it's difficult to say it will be played more. i'd actually make a case it will be played less because I think you may see Drakonid Operative take Azure Drake's place in dragon priest.

As for cards that might see more play, Reno Jackson. Not a lot of Reno decks out on ladder right now but with Kazakus coming out, Reno will be an auto include in Kazakus decks.

With the tri-cards coming out and a lot of Battlecry cards in general in this set, you'll see even more Bran.

posted a message on Is Power Overwhelming broken? nerf?

This is completely wrong. Class cards count to. That was the reason for all the Druid nerfs. They felt that every single druid deck had FON, AOL, and Keeper of the Grove.

Something needs to be done with PO, not necessarily because it's OP but because now with Dark Peddler and Bronzebeard  you can get as many as 6 PO's. To me, Peddler is probably the card that's broken because the 1 mana cards in warlock are really good.

posted a message on New Legendary Card - Shifter Zerus

This card seems very difficult to play. Unlikely able to play it early on and you have to wait a turn late in the game with the hope that you can play it. Maybe like Reno warrior or control warrior but I just don't see the benefit when you could just put late game minions in your deck.

They have to beef up beast druid to replace combo druid once it's nerfed.

Yea I don't know about this card. For the people saying works with confuse, how many 2 health minions are there worth using confuse on? I mean I guess you could trade into it but seems like a lot to make this work.

In a Meta like right now where Minibot, Imp Gang Boss, and Deathlord are very strong 2 attack minions, this is great. But they are all rotating out in standard.

posted a message on New Paladin Legendary Card - Ragnaros, Lightlord

This card really depends on what happens with BGH. Just like the original Rag, if BGH is around, it's hard to justify this. If it gets a major nerf than a lot of these big minions could be viable.

So why do we have to wait for nerfs and card changes until the new expansion comes out?

posted a message on Forbidden Healing

Healing Wave for Shaman was thought to be a great addition and basically saw no play. That's potentially 15 life for only 3 mana. You have to use your whole turn to get real value out of this card.

Am I the only one that thinks these cards are not that good?  The mage card is bad. So many better options. The priest cards is the best one but it's still a shot in the dark at best. playing it on turn 8 seems to be your best chance to get value. Yeah you could get Tirion but maybe your best off just playing Rag for consistency.

posted a message on Wake me up when Standard is live

Long time player. For the first time in a long time i'm on the brink of shutting it down for a while. People are playing the same old stuff that won't be around once standard goes live. I'm afraid that once I shut it down, I don't know if I'll start playing again.

When I heard the new set won't be out until potentially early may, I almost threw up. All these C'Thun cards are really doing an injustice. Just what I want to hear, they are going to give everybody the same free Legend so everybody can build the same decks again to play with. Yay!

If I get Savage Roar+FON comboed or Secret Paladined one more time i think I'm calling it quits. #Stale

posted a message on Which streamer do you follow/watch

I don't watch live streaming much but I do like to watch the videos that some of these guys post on their youtube channels. Kripparian posts a new video every day. He's a big arena player and I prefer arena as well. Since he's not a competitive scene guy, he sees things from a different perspective.

Noxious I find very informative when it comes to his discussions about the game as far as changes and cards. I find his game play pretty annoying though.

Kibler is now my favorite game play guy. Just a really smart dude that explains things very well.

I used to like Amaz but he's changed a lot. He's got his mind on bigger things than the game itself it seems.

posted a message on Does Ancient of Lore need nerfing?

Why would they nerf AOL or KOTG?

AOL is a 5/5 for 7 mana which is fairly bad stats. Weaker than the vanilla Pit Fighter. So for 2 mana you get to chose either 5 health which is far from OP or two cards which is fairly strong. Basically for 7 mana you get a 5/5 body and an arcane intellect. If you took the card draw option away this card wouldn't even get played. I really hope they don't touch this card.

KOTG I would argue is overrated. For four mana you get a 2/4 body which is really bad. It basically loses on board to every other 4 drop in the game. In return you either get a silence which is worse than Spellbreaker or 2 damage. Which is nice. Gets rid of some pesky 2 drops like knife juggler but then your opponent drops any four drop and your way behind.

Cards I would nerf in Druid:

Savage Roar: They just need to change savage roar so that it only effects beasts. They are pushing the beasts theme in druid so stay with that. So savage roar no longer works with FON but you can still potentially put it in some kind of beast deck and it remains a strong card. Maybe the new set has a small beast with charge that entices people to play savage roar but is not OP.

Innervate: This one i'm on the fence. Early game it can be ridiculous. Getting a Thaurissan or good 4 drop out turn 2 or 3 is really difficult to overcome but late game, if combo is nerfed, innervate loses a ton of value.

Wild growth: I would not touch this card. If you play it early it's skip your turn to gain a mana crystal and like innervate as the game goes on the card loses extreme value. It's very situational.
