Shaman is toxic AF at the moment. a T3 8/8 which deathrattle summon an 8/8 is just game over in most cases. Or indeed the 10 mana minion that makes you summon odd costs minions for just 1 mana. It's rediuclous to have that at turn 3.
Congratulations. I also reached first time legend in standard with a Undead priest deck last month. Much different than your deck but the buffs did the trick for me too.
What can I say.... I don't think anybody really cares. I personally dust all my golden cards to be able to craft all the cards I need to play the decks I want to play. This way I can fully be on a F2P way. But I guess Blizzard needs people like you to spend a lot of money to keep the game rolling. So thanks for spending!
In an ideal world all classes should be in the range of the same win % in each rank. But that's impossible. Neither does Blizzard care the slightest about win %. They only look at in how many decks is each card. If a card is in 90% of all decks of a certain class, it will get nerfed.
There is a good reason why the same classes are in the top rankings and other are in the bottom ranks for many, many months. They don't give a sh*t.
I have been running Shadow Priest with success for a while now and I noticed many of the deck creators choose minions that don't benefit the deck. With Shadow Priest you aim to close the game by turn 8 or 9 the latest. Therefore cards like Invincible and Thrive in the Shadows are not worth it. Invincible is too expensive and Thrive in the Shadows is too slow, as you need direct activity on the playground. Try replacing these cards with another ending combo like Voidtouched Attendant + Astalor Bloodsworn . The amount of times that combo gave me the win is insane. And I would add in 1 more Cathedral of Atonement for the card draw. As said, you aim to win this game by turn 8 or 9. So if you don't draw your undead's in the early turns but you do get Cathedral of Atonement , this gives you a better chance of actually drawing your undeads.
I also have 1 Spirit Guide in my list, also for the card draw mid game. Hope this helps tuning your deck a bit.
Instead of just nerf classes, why don't I hear anything about buffing the weakest classes? There are currently 2 classes with a 40% winrate. That's rediculous.

This card will definitely be played a lot.

After a few days I can say the the changes had very little impact. Still playing against the same decks over and over.

Ah right. So the fact it got nerfed before means it's not oppressive anymore. Like no other card ever got nerfed twice huh?

@thehighlanderking
That was exactly his point. He hoped for a shadow essence nerf.
