Spiteful priest seems really good at the moment. I’ve been teching in Scorp-o-matic to deal with Doomsayers and one drops from mage, paladin, and other priests and it’s been working pretty well. If only priest had a way to set a minion’s attack to 1 without Pint-Sized Potion...
As someone who has repeatedly played Jade Rogue every expansion to rank 5 and reached rank 3 with Dinomancy N'Zoth Hunter, I strongly agree with the OP. Refining your own deck really does help increase your understanding of the game and makes you a better player overall than someone who skips the learning process and plays a pre-refined deck. Sure, you may lose a lot initially, but once you have a vision in mind for a deck, it can most certainly be accomplished provided you put the time and effort into it. It really is the funnest part of this game imo, and it's a shame so many people miss out on it.
I’ve been trying it with -Southsea Squidface -Doomerang and +Gluttonous Ooze +Stonehill Defender for taunt spam with Valeera the Hollow. I’ve been trying out ooze to combat tempo mage, but that matchup is pretty impossible, and oozing Aluneth isn’t changing much. Oozing the warlock weapon is pretty nice though. Anyone been able to find a way to do decent against tempo mage?
Maybe. They would have to raise the power level of said cards considerably compared to what was in TGT. I’d say to wait on it until Raza, Shadowreaper, or both are rotated out of standard though.
I suppose that makes sense. I guess a lot of my frustration comes from the optimization I'm trying to accomplish with Jade Rogue, as in times past it's been able to completely dumpster Jade Druid and currently does really well against most other classes, but both spreading plague and ultimate infestation pose a large problem to my deck and, though their board clears be small and scarce, I find that it's oftentimes enough to give them the tempo they need to put me in an unwinnable position unless I can curve perfectly in DK Valeera with Vanish at the ready. I suppose I may just have to try another archtype. I do appreciate the advice though.
I mean, I see that people are saying it's not that hard to beat, but what weaknesses does Druid actually have? As far as i can tell, they've been given the tools to pretty much negate their former weaknesses, and Skulking Geist is only somewhat helpful, provided that you can survive their massive tempo plays.
I've been playing exclusively N'zoth Jade Rogue since the beginning of the expansion have been able to climb to rank 7 without too many problems. Valeera's ability to duplicate Jades is insane and, as has been stated, Xaril is now quite good since you can either duplicate the toxin you got if you like it or reroll. Surprisingly, I recently discovered the Spiritsinger Umbra is very playable in that deck, as it can net you an easy 8 health with Mistress of Mixtures and a clone or give you a very potent board with double Jade Swarmer. Valeera is literally the only card from this expansion in my Deck and I think it may be able to take me to legend.
So yes, she is really good. Double Mimic Pod and Shadowcaster are very valuable, and there are all sorts of additional possibilities. I will admit that the card is a bit difficult to pilot correctly, as knowing when to hold cards to duplicate on future turns or to push for tempo can be pretty uncertain at times, but she is very powerful.

Dinomancy hunter absolutely.

Meh, I’m not too worried. With the introduction of Evasion, I’m pretty sure at least my mill jade rogue will be fine.

Now, when it says "when drawn", does that specifically mean the Spider Ambush!es or when the Fal'dorei Strider is drawn?

I've found that subbing out the Eviscerates with Doomsayers has helped a lot vs Aggro Druid.

Do you still think this is a t1 deck? I feel like it could be if Jade Druid didn't exist.

This one. My all-time favorite deck Jade Rogue is currently at its strongest!

I've managed to climb pretty quickly with DK Jade Rogue. It's quite strong.
