first strike in hearthstone? How would that work different from Immunity except every turn they attack? The creature gets to attack without a counterhit. That sounds potentially broken in a game where the attacker chooses the target.
Well, it would be different from immunity because they would still take damage from whomever they were attacking unless they killed whomever they were attacking.
I mean, this is basically Swamp King Dred you're describing.
From my experience even is a lot better. The only matchup I've run into where I was definitely bound to lose was against a rush warrior that didn't let me keep anything on the board to buff. Other than that, I've been able to beat everything else with no problem. Cubelock is a little tricky but I'm still over 50% versus it.
I’ve thought about this a bit, and it kind of depends on how quickly you need to complete the quest. Ravencaller can’t be silenced and you can play all three cards on turn 5, whereas Igneous Elemental is a better minion but gets you the one drops slower. I would personally go with Ravencaller, though I’m working on perfecting my Even Paladin list before I refine my quest hunter so I can’t speak from experience yet. Try put both and see what you like!
Insane in wild. If your opponent has a lot of stuff on the board, you can play this then Dirty Rat and highroll a Doomsayer to clear your opponent’s board.
True, which is why I think it may not be worth it to include either weapon. Theoretically, you could just run kingsbane with a single deadly poison like you have and then just throw in a leeching poison and call it good there and you’d still have a better weapon than spectral cutlass.
While certainly more flavorful for the deck, I feel like if you are going to be running a weapon buff package you might as well just run kingsbane, as it us immune to weapon removal and just a more solid card in general. Also, do the death knight cards from lich king count as cards from other classes? Even if they do, the only one I see being useful off of tess is anti magic shell. Valeera does allow you to double up on blink foxes and hallucinations, so Id say it fits the deck pretty nicely.
Yeah I agree. While Blizzard is definitely promoting this sort of archetype, there aren't really the tools to create a cohesive deck as far as I can tell. I have hopes for something from the final card dump, as the fate of rogue is really going to come down that that this expansion, or else miracle will be the only viable archetype.
I've been toying around with ideas of Baku warrior as well. One addition I might consider making is adding Baron Geddon, as having an extra board clear is always nice and he's historically been pretty decent in warrior. I have the feeling that warrior will be getting at least one more card to help promote this archetype, so I'm pretty hyped to see how Baku warrior runs.
You’re mostly correct, but the big difference between this and Faceless is that it removes what you’re copying whereas faceless only contests it. Faceless is also more situational since battlecries are not replicated. They have similar functions, but Holy Water has a much broader niche than Faceless does imo.

Don't forget Mechano-Egg.

Cat trick is also rotating out, which is a pretty big blow.

That's some crazy tempo gain.

I like the deck! Baron Geddon seems like he’d be a good addition for some extra aoe.
