It is a cancer , yes. But I put in robes of protection in my paladin deck and cruised to legend. Its a matter of days before everybody starts doind it and then they are gone
Yep, Robes of Protection really makes difference...and surprise..it helps me to beat spell hunter and Quest Warlock!
I beat Quest mage quite easily with Handbuff Paladin which is, actually, the best Tier 1 deck right now. Blizz will certainly slow it down by nerfing Prismatic Jewel Kit.
Just stop playing games that make you anxious lmao. Hearthstone is very like rock paper scissors. 80% of your games are basically decided from the start.
Winning doesn't feel rewarding most of the time. Not to mention losing when you're just getting countered and you can't do shit. I've stopped playing 2 years ago after I've had realized it. BG is a much more affordable and enjoyable mode. Yes, you lose badly from time to time but compared to ranked it's nothing.
All in all, If you're starting to feel anxiety it's prolly time to put the source of it aside. It goes like this for every addiction. Once you realize this you'll see that life gets less stressful and you'll be able to enjoy more things.
Once you stop caring about the ranking the anxiety disappears I believe. And in the early days of HS, winning really felt rewarding.
I found one way to reduce losing streaks: When I loose constantly, the first thing I do is watch (HSreplay/twitch) the videos available on the specific deck I am using. Most of the time this reveals to me the mistakes I make at key turns of the game. Watch as many videos as you can and specially watch the way they mulligan that really helps. Then watch the 5 turn five decisions and study the win conditions and combos they use. I watch as many videos as I can before playing the deck. Give a special attention to matches against decks that are giving you a hard time. Once you think you are ready start, play like 20 games and don't be afraid to make changes to adapt to the meta you are in and fit your style of play. If the deck does not fit your game play change it cause you'll be frustrated...having fun even when losing is important. As you go, you will improve your game play. In the beginning, I found out that it's the way I played the game that was the problem. One example: Keeping synergy/battlecry cards to use them later instead of using them because the situation needed me to play a body on the board. Another example: I was constantly losing against the tickatus deck...watching the videos taught me that tempo was one of the keys to beat it..forcing the warlock to respond to threats all the time (when possible) instead of drawing cards was giving more chances to win.
Next expansion coming soon, as we know now that they don't thoroughly test the cards, so expect OP decks in the beginning and nerfs coming a few weeks after. That's why I will not craft anything, specially Legendary cards before the meta settles down. That could take a couple of weeks. I don't want to make the same mistake of crafting (sometimes in gold) the Legendary "I need" which end up just being ok or useless or just going in a meta deck that doesn't fit my style of play. Example: Cornelius Roame right now I believe this card will be and auto-include in many decks. I am really tempted to craft it if I don't unpack....we'll see.
I like how it says "if you have enough mana to play it". This means it will trigger if you have the mana, and you won't even have to play the card. That could lead to some life saving shenanigans, where you just discover Lightforged Elemental, but spend your mana on removal, for instance. Or discover something for board presence and heal.
Very cool card.
Yep totally OP then. Death rattle triggers once you draw the card (and you still have the mana to play it) then you play it. If you decide instead to spend mana on removal, it happens only after death rattle triggers and that could be a problem depending on the removal spell you use.
These nerfs are done, just like they did for mana wyrm, probably because of the new expansion. Some of the new cards can probably give an insane advantage to Druid and Priest if these cards are not nerfed.
Yes, it is easier to reach Legend but honestly, now that I have reached Legend a few times, I don't even try anymore. I like to stay at D5 and try some net decks as well as decks of my own brew.
It is so sad to see what they have done with this class. I still don't understand why they turned mage away from what I believe it's is supposed to be: Full burst/Aggro/Tempo. Too good/powerful? Too much burn/burst power? So are Hunter and Rogue, they can finish you in a few turns and so does shaman now. So what's the difference? Was it the secret? so why rogue. hunter and Paladin have them and good ones? I just don't get it. I really miss the secret mage we had back in the days...so much fun!!! Bring it back please!!
Some of you seem just to rely on their personal experience to judge if the meta is healthy or not. Statistics is the way to go. On Hsreplay and Hearthstone Meta stats you get at least 7 classes out of 10 having decks with decent win rates enabling them to reach Legend.
That has nothing to do with how frequently you are matched with certain decks, it's more a question of the popularity of the decks per rank.
The fact that 7 classes out of 10 are in the top decks is good and can be qualified as diverse. You can argue about aggro vs control decks that's another question.
Shaman is in good place ? What archetype is that coz i ve seen none on ladder yet.
Elemental shaman is one classes of the I play and it's a blast to play this deck, easy D5 with it. I have met quite a few Aggro Shaman and had mirror matches quite regularly.
Just checked the meta (Americas) on HSreplay and I have to say. The diversity of the classes (8 Classes!!) in Tier 1 and 2 is the best I have seen in a long time. Now the meta has not settled yet post mini set but I do hope that it will stay like this.

My advice: Do not craft any legend for now...wait for the meta to settle (2-3 weeks).

Agreed and not being queued against the same decks over and over again is so refreshing!
