Simple, but powerful. Want to up Attack for more Battlecry damage, it can do that. If you think your C'Thun will be better used as a board clear, Poisonous is your friend. If you're facing a Warrior with 200 HP, maybe Windfury is a good out.

The greatest weakness of the Joust mechanic was that you could not safely include early-game minions, or you would risk losing value on later jousts. This resulted in decks that either ignored early game tempo, or decks that were inconsistent at best.
So instead of encouraging the top-heavy, RNG-reliant playstyle that the Joust mechanic encouraged, I present an alternative... tempo Joust !
This card can be played early-game as either removal, or just for more board pressure. But late-game, when you are playing more Joust cards, it doesn't weigh you down: you might lose a Joust , but you'll get immediate tempo to compensate.
Plus, it removes itself from your deck, increasing your odds of drawing your high-cost cards!

So, you are saying that it's unfair that rogue and warrior are able to get 12 wins, but then you boost about the fact that you got 12 wins with shaman and only loosing to increadable RNG?

How often do you draft brawl? We are talking about arena here.
Also in arena your deck is usual a bit random anyway so counting it is carddraw is not that bad (although you are technically correct).

What if you look at this card in the following way:
You run a deck with a diamand spell stone combo. You can play this to garanty all your combo pieces die, so you resurrect them the following turn for the otk. Heck, if of the minions from your deck is radiant elemental you can even cast spirit lash to ensure all die and you are good to go.

Even though the mechanic effects can be silinced, I think the idea blizz has is to print more cards that your opponent wants to silince. So, he has to choose wisely; silence this mech? Or that big crazy card that will hit later on. Currently most decks have only a few silence targets and it feels bad to play them (lik say tirion) and then it gets silenced/polymorphed. Maybe these cards can help bring them back?
