posted a message on As returning playing who hasn't played the game for 4 years... what the heck is going on?!

    Hey,

this is not supposed to sound like "they shouldn't have changed anything" - because I think they needed to change a lot, as HS wasn't in the best state when I left. But I really have to ask: Am I the only one who thinks the game took a, kind of, weird direction in the last few years based on removal, boardclear and especially swingturns and powerlevels of cards?

I actually only came back to play a bit of oldschool miracle rogue (I know, I know... complaining about swingturns and playing Rogue... xD) and I did that, hit diamond in 2 days and it was really fun for a few days, but then I realized that I encountered a lot of bots so I checked if there is a good rogue deck right now for standard. I found something from Casie which seemed kinda cool, so I crafted it and enjoy it so far. I feel like I have a lot to learn still, so my very bad successrate has definitely something to do with me not piloting the deck too well, don't get me wrong. But there is a feeling that I can't really shake off... The feeling that sometimes It doesn't really matter how good I play and especially how oppressive my board state is, the opponent does what he does anyways. I can have the most ridiculous board, and the opponent is able to clear It in turn 7 and build a board up himself in the same turn.
I also recognized that a lot of the old cards got buffed, I goes to keep up with the crazy power level of the newer cards, but it seems that nobody plays the old buffed cards anyways because a Flamestrike with 5dmg is just a joke these days. I played a lot of hearthstone back in the days and have something around 3,5k rogue wins in standard, so in general I understood the game and also know about when to play for tempo and when to play for value etc.. But as I said, I am quite confident that I don't pilot the new miracle rogue deck perfectly of course and have a lot to learn about the new decks and classes.

With this post I really only want to get a feeling about how the community sees the game right now... Am I crazy?

English isn't my first language, so if you recognize some sloppy grammar, that's why :)
