    Warlock player found?

Sorry you can't farm free wins anymore.

Actual Soltaire games are usually faaaar cheaper and easier to access if you're that desperate for your addiction shot of easy wins.

    Have a nice day!

posted a message on nerfs are in

I'm stoked for these changes, The hunter class buffs basically mean nothing for meta players as they'll still consider them waaaaaay too slow.

Buh-bye Demon Seed, Back to the tenth circle of hell with you were you belong. Crystallizer can now kindly retreat back under her rock of obscurity and never come back. Giants should now be safely regulated back to darkglare-lock and handlock builds were THEY belong.

If they had to buff anything with mage, I'm glad it was hero power mage.  At least that archetype forces you to think about your builds and build the entire deck around the playstyle. Wandmaker generating wldfires in non hero power mage decks should be gloriously hilarious. =D

Well the only hope for this whole mess is for Demon Seed to be the warlock card getting banned in wild. Otherwise expect the deck to be the only one you run into in either format for the foreseeable future.

Crystallizer could be a decent hit, too. Might be just enough to slow it down, though I doubt it.

As a nerf, yes. But blizz was pretty specific that the banned card would be a WARLOCK class card. Not a warlock DECK card. Bit of a difference. So demon seed seems the most logical choice,

Crystallizer would need a very significant nerf before it stopped seeing play in painlock builds since warlock's one of the classes that laughs at "mana cost". You'd basically have to both reduce the amount of recoil damage he deals and nerf his mana cost by at least 2, Otherwise blizz's usual answers of "nerfs" won't mean didly-squat for the deck.

    Delete all the Questlines? No.

Nerf Hunter's and Warlock's? Most def yes! As has been said previously, not all of the questlines are so nuts they kill you by turns 5 or 6.

Rogue's and Paladin's are how all questlines SHOULD be done. Reasonably priced for their conditions and reasonable rewards for their class Identities.

Warriors might be annoying but pirates can be beat.

Man...I miss the days of the Ungoro quests. With the exceptions of Mage and Rogue those quests didnt feel any wear near as toxic as this shit.

Perhaps changing it to only discount Arcane spells might be enough to hurt it but still make it usable?

Not a bad suggestion, I mean then at least it mitigates the huge amounts of potential burst burn per turn since Arcane spells have limited cards that can target face. Only issue with that is draw spells tend to be Arcane. So they still cycle through decks quickly.

posted a message on Incanter's Flow was a huge mistake. Change my mind.

Incanter's Flow has been a problem for Mage for a while now. Since it came out. They thought upping the mana cost of Refreshing Spring Water by a measly ONE mana crystal would be enough to offset the power. Meta players just laughed at the useless gesture and shrugged it off.

Flow needs to be nerfed big time and RSW still needs further nerfs. With mage having so much draw abilities in their pool how in the hell are they not gonna have design limits and problems for decent cheap spells in future sets?

posted a message on Is this the game now?

Yup, this is the direction Activision wants to take Hearthstone in now. They've been on record with this through their Blizzard puppet minions multiple times now. They're appealing to the pure mobile crowd/pooper players that are obsessed with ending games by turns 5/6 MAYBE 7 if you're lucky.

In order for that to happen they had to print cards that made it easier for classes that can deal damage from hand and draw through their deck to get to those damage dealing cards all in one turn. The quicker their games are, the better in Activision's mind.

Would Blizzard have done it before they got bought out/merged by Activision? Who knows but I'd say probably not. Hearthstone wasn't perfect before the merger by any means but it was no wear near this bad.

Remember big game hunter nerf? :D

This one still tickles me to this day. Seems outdated and not needed anymore. I'm glad they compromised on him at least but really, if they reverted him back fully I doubt he'd affect the meta much if at all. Pooper players would deem him "too slow". By the time he can kill any minions worthwhile, your probably already dead anyways and the game's over. Why they were so scared of this card in TODAY'S meta I'll never understand.

https://hsreplay.net/replay/ESR4KXVtEHxMttJwH9wUVe yeah. so much fun. will the game end on turn 4, on turn 5 or on turn 6? you never know! sometimes it even takes 7 turns, but i feel like this is very rare nowadays. finally we can enjoy the game it was meant to be played: 3 minutes or less while not having to interact with your opponent at all. it's just who draws his crazy broken win condition faster.

i played 8 games so far with selfmade decks. 6 times i got killed by face hunter, rougue or mage, then i switched to this degnerate warlock deck. one win, next game the one on the replay. not a single one of those 8 games reached turn 10.

That's by design. Don't forget, activision is appealing to the crowd COMPLETELY obsessed with finishing games waiting in line for trains or taking a poop on the toilet. I call the pooper players.

They dont want fun and interactions. They need to fill quick adrenaline fix and have the game won by turn 5. It's unfortunate but pooper players not only want but NEED to squeeze control styles of play. Basically if you play standard, don't collect the sets. Stick to cards that cost say, 5 mana or less and you should be fine. Anything more expensive than that and you can just forget about it seeing the light of day in game.

If you want more control styles of play come down to wild. Inevitably, butt hurt pooper players who lose in standard will try to come down to our format to try to farm wins, but there's a shit-ton of more control friendly decks here at least. Plus you don't  have to give up your collection every time a rotation hits so you can legitimately invest money and time into cards.

Looking forward to it. Lots of stuff to cover.

Make sure to hide the chat... because it's going to be ugly.

It's sad. The funny thing? Hearthstone had nothing to do with this what so ever. My understanding is this happened under a different Blizz game's team.

posted a message on Do you think the questline will be finished in most games?

Of all the revealed questlines, Pally's seems easiest to complete so far. Only restriction of playing 1 drops seems simple enough, and since I'm in wild, it's made infinitely easier to have more draw/refill options available. I don't see palladin's questline being difficult to complete at all.

The only real question is will the payoff for said questline be viable/worth it to win consistantly? Dude-adin builds can be strong but in hyper aggro formats it might struggle to make their big payoff turns before they die.

Mage questline should be ok in wild because Sorc Apprentice will always be a card there. Until she finally gets the nerf bat swung at her she'll be a huge nuisance but make this deck stronger anyways.

posted a message on New Hero Cards in 3rd Expansion this year?

Yeah seems to be the direction Blizz is going with this with the major legendary characters the "story" seems focused on. I'm stoked, I for one can't wait for Pally to get its first non-deathknight hero card!

Awesome card. Classes like Pally who don't come equipped with much in the way of card draw will love him.

. And the nerfed cards are still perfectly playable, just not 10+ times in a single game anymore.

Yeah. OP, don't forget there are specific reasons mentioned for the cards getting hit and they ARE valid...they just happen to belong to a class that may or may not be as high on the urgent priority list.

Renew getting hit DOES in fact slow down priest card generation, and renew can now no longer be generated by wandmaker.

Apotheosis was hit so major board clear combos like the spell + plus Samuro couldn't happen.

I agree there are other classes that probably could've had higher priorities to have cards nerfed first BUT at the end of the day those cards are still problems that needed to be addressed. Renew got ran in decks just for the spell generation for god's sake. Did ANYONE run it for the heal? I think not. The heal was just a bonus.
