posted a message on Microsoft acquiring Activision/Blizzard

So, Blizzard finally ends its run as a "small indie company", With MS acquiring it, it'll be interesting to see how much of any changes are made to its games.

My only issue is I absolutely HATE Microsoft itself. It's past reputation of bad customer relations coupled with some other not so nice things about its higher managements damns them completely in my book. Wish it was someone like Sony or even a lesser known third party company that got them instead.

The hell? I was gonna use that dust next expansion.

Times like these i really have to reconsider my standings as a blizzard gamer. Talk about petty and pathetic.

Ignite is probably not going to be changed as there's no way to change it without destroying the card completely.

Flamewaker is Wild so I have no idea why someone is talking about it in General. Same with Sorc Apprentice. The game is not balanced around Wild, we have this discussion every month.

People talk about these cards in wild formats because Blizz legit announced WILD balance changes are coming, and there are quite a few of us wild players out there. Sorcerers apprentice is already all but confirmed for a nerf this time around  (finally) because of specific image teases posted by Blizz reps.

Also waker and ignite often get grouped together because of the viable otk combos with them also in wild. Flamewaker getting changed to target random minions would all but disarm that variant of the deck and ignite does the same for the spell's. Giving it the Trogg treatment should have the same effect. The trogg still gets played in decks and gets value early on in games but in later turns it loses value.

Same would happen with Ignite if Ignite got changed to simply shuffle a copy of itself into the deck.  Yes two damage is still valuable in the early turns but the later the games drag the more value it loses.

I like quest hunter being banned, good idea.

Sorcerer's apprentice: Your spells cost 1 less, but not LESS than 1

Ignite: Deal two damage. Shuffle an extra ignite into your deck (eliminating the power increase every time it gets shuffled)

Flamewaker: Missiles hit random MINION targets only

Wildpaw Knoll: health/attack stats reduced by 1 point each.

On a side note, I'd even suggest hitting Incanters Flow again so that the spell can't reduce spells less than 1 either like apprentice, but something tells me either one card or the other is getting hit, not both. But I'd throw a fiesta if they did. =)

It's time apprentice got the nerf. It's ridiculous and getting out of hand now. What tickles me most about this whole situation with her is she isn't even a legendary, though her effect could easily warrant her the status if she wasn't already a common. Therefore blizzard wouldn't have to worry about massive amounts of dust refunds they normally would have to dish out on disenchanted legendaries. All they'd have to do is change her to "Spells cost 1 less but not less than 1." Bingo. All good to go with her.

Also Incanter's Flow needs to be changed to have a similar effect. "Spells in your deck cost 1 less but not less than 1." Buh-bye, APM!!

Also Blizzard needs to rework the rules on the time rope. I'm sorry, but when the rope expires, the turn ENDS. No matter how many times you click. End the damn turn when the rope expires. It's not fair these APM guys get all this extra time on their turns and I'm stuck with the standard time limits. Aren't hearthstone players suppose to follow the same equal rules when playing the game?

Depends on your priorities. Do you intend to play standard or wild?

If standard, you need to decide which type of decks you wanna play. If you want to build and play your own with out looking at online lists, then I'd suggest buying older packs. Not only does it help fill out your collection but gives you MORE options.

If you wanna only play more recent top tier decks then I'd suggest only buying packs from the last 3 sets or so, That should suffice in giving you the needed cards for decks like Pirate Warrior or big Vandar style decks that've popped up in recent metas.

posted a message on UPDATE ZEPHRYS!

The only reasonable fix I could see for this problem would be rotate crawler itself into core so Zeph can discover it when needed. But then that's also a huge buff specifically to Zeph and I don't see Blizz upgrading him that much.

People bitched on here when he was at the prime and height of his power and he's been soft nerfed multiple times since. Imagine the bitching when Blizz starts rotating cards into core just for highlander players to abuse. It's a nice pipe dream but it won't happen.

The Pirate "nerf" is laughable. Nothing changes. Calling it now. 90% of all matches you see in wild are still pirate warrior/tavish baku hunter.

In order to nerf that deck quest nerfs are needed, period. If not outright banning them.

Why would they nerf a tier2 deck?

What tier it is doesn't really matter. When 90% of my matches in wild PLAT freakin' 5 are Pirate warrior, clearly the deck has become a problem.

I've even had to resort to using pirates myself just so I can rank up. It feels gross and dirty doing so but sometimes metas leave you no choice. Pirates at the very least need the nerf. Pronto.

Slowing down quest progression is fine, Would do the meta wonders and give it more breathing room.

Said could be said for Tavish's quest. Change his to "Deal 6 damage with spells" each tier instead of play 2 spells that deal damage each turn would DRASTICALLY slow it down.

Make these two changes and variety in decks will return.

Once other decks come back Paladin gets put back in check and no one has to worry about it.

Just make the Owl deathrattle hit minions only.

    Problem solved.

I second this. In a meta where it's so easy to duplicate and abuse Deathrattles, no single Deathrattle should be able to deal 8 damage to face.

     Thirded.

I've been saying similar things about Flamewaker long ago. Both cards should hit random minions ONLY instead of being able to go face. So many otk decks would go bye-bye and minion based combat can happen again.

Easy nerfs to fix but they refuse to do anything about Flamewaker in wild so my guess nerfs for the Owl are extremely unlikely unless they hit its mana cost as per usual which will accomplish nothing for the card.

Sorry man, I play druid and I do run ×2 vipers for the warlocks. But druid class has no spells or weapons that can kill trogg with a shield. I cant tech another ×2 silences as well. I just accepted that paladin is auto-lose. I guess mages that do not run or draw polymorph are in the same spot. That minion is just broken, period. And paladins hero card should cost 7-8 mana for the value it gives. I mean, why does mage hero card cost 8 mana?

Sounds like your trouble is giving up too easily. I get it. I'm guilty of it too sometimes, we all are. But since you say you're destined to lose anyways, why not refine your deck with some alt choices for tech and give it a try? What have you got to lose if you assume they're "auto losses"?

If tech choices don't end up working, you know what the beauty of Hearthstone is? The same kind of beauty every card game has: the freedom and right to edit and change your deck as YOU seem fit.

My advice? Don't always rely on hearthwpn or its clone sites for answers. Sometimes a lightning in a bottle moment can happen when you think for yourself and those are the best kinds of moments. Thankfully tools like decktracker can be used to keep track of your deck lists and what cards were in them before if that's the problem.

I am sick of trogg and I am sick of paladin. If I play spell heavy deck, you might just loose turn 1. And what about 5 mana, give 5hp, cast concecration,  equip 2/5 that reduces all damage AND makes your minions be 4/4 bigger. Ow, and how convenient that those bigger minions are in a class that has divine shields! Yes, priest and mass polymorph perhaps wreaks it, but it shouldnt be so, that a class can only be countered by 2 spesific classes in a game with 10 classes!

Have you tired teching weapon removal into your deck? Viper's a pretty strong tool for weapon heavy decks/classes, or even that pesky Cariel turn. Having a Kobold Sticky Finger handy to steel the weapon aint a bad idea either.

Have you tried teching in weapons of your own to deal with trogg before he gets buffed? There are a few classes out there that let you cast weapons from hand before you play spells of any kind.

Silencing tech also helps in some cases. this kind of tech is a tad trickier to pull off but it can still help.

Believe me I get it. Teching is hard and tough to master, hell even I'm still learning how to do it in meaningful ways that balances my deck out. But until you start you'll never learn. Unlike big spell heavy decks, which ARE vastly more difficult to tech against, minion based control/midrange style of decks like paladin can be teched against a LOT better. Just learn what tech helps the most in your situation and you're good to go.

Lol of course. Pally mains finally get some love but because its a minion based deck thats not a brainless otk, people bitch. Give it a rest. Paladin is in a good spot for the first time in YEARS. Learn to tech. It won't kill you to slot in a Viper or Sticky Fingers.

Trog's actually ok. You just have to actually have brains to figure out how to kill him before you accidentally cause him to snowball. It's not like he buffs when your opponent casts the spells, thank god. Then he would be broken,
