I don't know. Maybe I'm just an optimist, but this seems like a really good change. Scrapping the worthless old packs and replacing them with gold towards the end of the track is obviously a positive change. So, assuming that blizzard actually holds up their end of the deal and makes it so casual players can reach those rewards without having to invest several hours playing every day, then I see this as an absolute win.
Beyond that, there's really no way to calculate xp rewards for future events without further details. I get people are hesitant to take blizzard at their word, and rightfully so, but I personally choose to look at this change in the rewards track as a gesture of good faith. They want to make money and I do believe that their initial intention with having those crap pack rewards were a step in doing so, but more so, they want to bring in new players and bring back old players that have left. They know how powerful community outcry can be in correlation to those goals. So, I think they're are going to try to make good on their promise that players earn a bit more with this rewards system overall.
I admit, I could be naive and Blizzard has disappointed me in the past but at this point in time in regards to the rewards track, I chose to stay hopeful.

Said this on the card reveal as well, but god it hurts how this card is so much better than Shattered Rumbler TwT.

You know, with the focus on spell synergy this time around, I wonder if they will finally give Shaman a "your spells cost 1 less" minion, like Sorcerer's Apprentice and Radiant Elemental?

Totems popped from this guy don't have Charge my dude, so Blood Lust wouldn't help on the next turn anyways.
Unless you are talking about the CURRENT board on turn 6, then yes it is relevant that you can't Blood Lust your board.

Well it's a good thing this isn't a rouge card then, so no worries :)

So does anyone know if an Outcast effect will trigger if it's the ONLY card in your hand at the time? Technically it should still be the left-most and right-most card. Or do you need at least 2 cards in your hand?

Damn, I really wish the payoff was DISCOVER 3 spells. By the time you draw the Prime version you probably won't have many cards left in your deck, never mind specifically spells. Unless Shaman gets a card that that shuffles new spells into the deck, it doesn't seem likely a Shaman will get to use the Prime Battlecry :/

Not sure if this was answered or not, but what do you think happens if you try to use Obelisk's Eye on an ENEMY minion with Auchenai Soulpriest? Does the minion die for the damage, or get saved by the +3/+3 buff?

I kinda doubt it, since I wouldn't expect this card to be reborn with a Blessing of Kings buff either. Kangor's Endless Army and Immortal Prelate are the only cards that allow minions to keep buffs placed on them.

Potentially an amazing removal tool, even at it's base level it could potential be upgraded by spellpower for emergency damage. And if you get to hold it for 3-4 turns, it pretty much kills most flooded boards.

This is a great step in the right direction for a Control Shaman. Even if it's not a top tier deck, I really want Shaman to have a playable control archetype again ;w;
Edit: To be fair, we do have Shudderwock Shaman which is a nice control-y type deck, but it never really feels like it controls the board like Mage or Warrior does.
