Funny you say that because I actually did used to have Nostalgic Gnome in this deck list, but I changed it to an Ancestral Knowledge for additional card draw. But if Whelp Wrangler doesn't feel good enough, adding Nostalgic Gnome back in might be another good option.

One advantage to Whelp Wrangler is it can be played early to generate more than 1 token, and since the tokens have taunt they can further protect the early play, with the downside that they are much weaker later in the game. Nostalgic Gnome can't be played as early and only generates one Mini, but it is more useful at any stage of the game.

Thinking about it as I type this, the deck does already have a good number of options for 2 mana it can play that maybe it is a better idea to replace them now.

It occurred to me, since this is a battlecry to gain these keywords, isn't gaining Reborn kinda useless since it just comes back as a vanilla 3/1 without Rush or Lifesteal?

Did hey seriously skimp out on the Death Knight Legendary Signature again? They did that once before to sell Helya as a Diamond card, are they doing the same again for Headless Horseman or something?

This is exactly the type of card I've wanted them to print since DK was announced. I always thought they should make a legendary that had a different effect for each rune combination to make it accessible but different across all DK archetypes. We had a taste of that with The Primus and now we're actually getting cards that gain affects depending on the runes the deck uses. Fingers crossed we get something that takes this idea even further next set! :D

Also kinda funny that this is a dead card for classes outside of DK, have fun stealing this card Priests and Rogues >:D

Me too man, for sure one of my favorite mechanics. At least we have Xilliax Deluxe 3000.

And who knows, there is still a chance the miniset can give us a new Zombeast making card in some form :D

How interesting, Demon Hunter's early life nerfs are being used as an actual game mechanic. Like its a true part of the lore now.

Strange, why hasn't the Signature art for Helya been revealed yet when all the other Signature cards have been already?

Agreed, Hallazeal was my favorite legendary back in the day, when healing cards weren't quite as common. I'd be happy with any of these cards, though I think Kalimos has some conflict of interest with the new Bru'Kan Hero Card.

With how powerful this set is looking though, I think Shudderwock would be a great powerful tool for Shaman to keep up, heck maybe even thrive on standard ladder again. I love Shaman, but goddamn the class is inconstant. They seem to want to want Shaman to win games with Bloodlust now that it's back in the core set, which is all well and good, but I think a control Shaman could also be viable with a late game powerhouse legendary. And again, the combo cards that made Shudderwock infinite are not currently in standard, so it could work.

But it only reveals 40/72 new cards we are getting. And then we have Execute, Equality, and Azure Drake lined in this post, bringing the total to 43/72 cards we know of, so we are still missing quite a bit.
